I decided to make these for dinner tonight and glad I did. Beth your tutorial made these look so easy. It took me longer than I anticipated to get ready, so if you are like me (slow) make sure you allow yourself time , or like Beth said, prepare the day before then assemble and bake the next day. For making the crepe batter I put everything into a blender and blended for total of 7 seconds on high. I saw a chef on another site stating; you shouldn’t blend longer than 07 -10 seconds or the batter will become tough. Cooking the crepe can be tricky if you haven’t done it before. Looks easy, but make sure you have a good non stick pan. I’ve decided I need to buy a new one. My crepes were a bit thicker than I wanted. It took me 3 attempts and 3 different pans to get the knack of it. End result was delicious and my husband was elated to get a fancy dinner without leaving the house.
My mom had always made savoury filled crepes and it never crossed my mind that it's not an actual french recipe. This filling sounds absolutely delicious! We usually fill them with cooked diced veggies with a bit of ground meat.
These make for such a delightful meal Beth. I've tried this recipe twice and it's turned out utterly delicious both times. I always end up having to make substitutions though, but it still works a treat. I swapped out Worcestershire sauce for soy sauce, Gruyere cheese for mature cheddar and/or freshly grated parmesan, dill for coriander, even butter for olive oil and I tend to leave out garlic in the bechamel sauce. Results were still stunning and delectable! Thank you so much Beth for sharing this recipe with us!
Hello, Beth! I've been watching you since 2012 and have never left a comment. I hope you see this one, I just wanted to say that I love your videos. Your recipes are amazing and the tips and tricks you give us makes me feel like you really care for us or at least our culinary adventures! 😉 Kudos to your team for making such creative and pleasing videos, it feels like I'm watching a movie. Love from India. 💜
Awww thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful comment! I'm so glad you have enjoyed the videos :) they are such a joy for me to share with all of you that when I hear it also brings you joy, it just makes all the hard work that goes into this channel worth it! Thanks again for leaving your first comment after all these years, you have no idea how much I am humbled by the support :) Sending you back much love from the USA!
It's embarrassing how many time I've re-watched all your menus and my favourite recipes. I always come back for your elegant and calm way of speaking even when I've tried out the recipe many times. 💜💜
OMG Beth! this is delicious! It must have a wonderful taste! I'm going to make my husband happy with your recipe! Thank you very much for this video and for your time and dedication for all of us! Kind regards!
Wow I couldn’t even last the first thirty seconds of this video, my mouth was watering so hard and I was drooling big time! Why must you do this to me, Beth?!
Hi Beth , just had the most delicious, Chicken, leek and mushroom crepe. I’m so proud of myself, hubby is so impressed. Thank you for teaching me to make great meals. Off to pick one of your recipes for tomorrow night... 😘
When I was in Highschool I filmed a training video for a crepe restaurant in West Side Market in Cleveland, OH. This video made me want to get out the skillet and try all the recipes I have on file! 70 videos of crepes styles!
Thank you for sharing this recipe, Beth. I consider myself a crepe lover! And the components of this creep (leeks, mushroom, chicken, bechamel sauce and gruyere cheese) are my favorites too. I will definitely make this anytime soon!
Beth! I just wanted to let you know I was so frustrated the other day trying to find your Baby Dutch recipe! It wasn’t your fault at all it was totally mine! I had so much going on that day! Thank you for coming to my rescue! I love your recipes and your TH-cam channel! 👍🏻❤️
Aww of course Jen! We all have off days, including me! Ha ha ha. And not to worry after doing this for 10 years I have pretty tough skin. I’ve seen it all lol! 🙌💕 thanks for your sweet note!
Beth, this recipe reminds me of the crepes that were served at the restaurant, The Magic Pan. It was a chain of restaurants back in the 1980’s. Yummy! ❤️❤️❤️
Wow this was amazing. I made this for my partner for his birthday 🎂 and it was a huge hit!! I’ve never made crepes before. The filling was scrumptious! You are the best 💕
This is one of the types of savory crepes that used to be on menu at The Magic Pan. At age 13 I couldn't appreciate this sort of food, but now I do. Ina Garten oven roasts chicken pieces then reserves the skin, bones, fat and juices to make stock. I tried it and the broth turned out rich and delicious.
Thank you! I don’t normally cook at home but this was a fantastic recipe. Absolutely delicious .. have you try using almond milk for the sauce? I did and the family was super satisfied! Thanks again
Good morning Beth! 🌷 I've had dessert crepes, always sooo yummy! But, I have never had savory crepes.....ever! What rock have I been under?! LOL! These look delicious, a nice idea for a late lunch with my neighbors. I think the girls will love these. Thank you for another wonderful idea. Have a nice day Beth! 😊
I'm making these for Sunday luncheon. My friend is coming over with her teen age daughter and I though how good does this sound for lunch. Beth, I knew I can count on you to have an easy recipe to prepare for "the girls" . TFS. I'm going to make your cucumber radish, sugar snap pea salad! I thought that would be lovely too!
Oh yes! That's a perfect side dish for this :) And if you want a REALLY easy dessert with a French flair, you could serve these! So good and easy! entertainingwithbeth.com/no-bake-chocolate-mousse/
This took me a long time to prepare, too. Around 2.5 hours. I recommend making everything a day ahead, and then when you get to the final step with the oven add another 10 min since the ingredients are room temp or cooler.
Hi Beth, I tried this crepes today and they turned out really well! Tried multiple crepe recipes on TH-cam and this turned out by far the best and most foolproof :)
Thank you, Beth! That sounds delicious! Mushroom and leek.... That made my mouth water. Hehehe Those look like what we call "Panquecas" here in Brazil. Traditionally filled with ground beef though. Hope you have a great weekend
@@EntertainingWithBeth oh you should 😊 I like the food very much. My Father is American and my Mother is Brazilian, so I can relate to your children in a way hehe. Here in Brazil there is a supermarket chain called Carrefour. I believe it's French. Are you familiar with it? PS. I would love it if you made something Brazilian in one of your videos 😁 Hehehe
Savory crepes are very popular in Russia! There is a whole fast food chain that is dedicated to blini (crepes) with different fillings called Teremok and I think they've even opened one up in NYC (I'm American, but teach ESL in Russia). My favourite filling there is potato wedges with chopped pickles and french fried onions. Also mashed potatoes with fried mushrooms is a great filling too!
Can’t wait to make these!!! There is a Bistro in Williamsburg Virginia that make these (This is the only thing I order when I go there)! The Recipe is Almost identical! Except.. I think they also put some of the Gruyere in the Bechamel Sauce!! Thank You for the Crepes Recipe Also!! Looks “AMAZING!!” God Bless Beth!!🙌❤️🙏👍👍🥰
I just got this recipe in my email. I always follow you but this was the first time I got this. OH my gosh, Beth, you are THE BEST ever. I live alone, so I am excited to have a couple of friends and my sister over for this beautiful recipe. Love that it can actually be prepared in advance, so on the day you assemble, your work is minimized. Your family are SO lucky. Love your France home as well.
Aww so happy you found a great one to try! This one really is yummy! And so easy because you can have it all ready to go, prepped the day before! :) So glad you enjoyed the French House, we'll be back this summer and will do some more videos for you all :)
Thank you Beth, they look delicious 😋 I love Chicken Florentino Crepes and since Ihop took them off their menu I will definitely try to make them myself.🥰
I just made the savory crepe to have with soft scrambled eggs and I added dried chives and holy moly it really hit the spot. Also, Beth please start a podcast!
I will be making a crepe cake...now, after seeing your video, I must try this savory crepe as well. Your videos are always such a delight to watch. Thanks for sharing!

Does this recipe work with other type of mushrooms as well.?? Or are button mushrooms highly recommended.??
