They explain it in the UStream they did last week but here's the gist- So They did the autograph thing before the panel and their table was next to Sean Astin's. He recognised Nick from the LOTR Gollum video (which is on TH-cam if you haven't seen). They were just talking to him and saying that they were going to get changed to do the panel,and joked that he should wear Dylan's costume. And, well, he agreed to play along :) P.S They also said that Dylan and Sean look alike.
Yea, both Dylan and Darren are from San Francisco. They were part of a group called ACT San Francisco. There was a 10th reunion party last night, which is why Dylan wasn't in Chicago. Darren was at the party also. I only know this because I follow Dylan on Twitter.
