Ngl, I'm absolutely in love with all the Kislev units, especially the Things in the Woods and the Elemental Incarnate of Beasts. I dunno who decided to make grimdark-russian-wendigos a thing but I am so happy they did!
Elemental Incarnates of Beasts have been a thing both in lore and tabletop for quite a while. They were actually usually associated with Beastmen (made by Bray Shamans) and the Empire (Amber Wizards), giving them to Kislev is new, though in theory any race with access to the Lore of Beasts (so Empire, Vampire Counts, Beastmen, Wood Elves, Brettonia, High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen, Kislev (as of this DLC at least), Ogres and possibly Tzeentch (via Kairos, Blue Scribes and the Changeling, but all 3 of those are special cases so it's unclear if they should count)) should be able to make them, just Kislev and Beastmen for now though it seems. as for tabletop, their appearance in game is actually pretty faithful to how their models looked. there were 2 other Incarnate Elementals known to exist in lore (but only the Incarnate Elemental of Beasts ever got a tabletop model), the Incarnate Elemental of Fire and the Incarnate Elemental of Death. Incarnate Elementals for the other 5 main lores of magic were theorized in lore to exist, with an elemental believed to be an Incarnate Elemental of Heavens being associated with Kislev (and also the Hobgoblin Kharnate strangely enough).
Overall, I suppose Elemental Incarnate of Beasts in Kislev should be named Leshiy, or something like that (Leshiy is "Owner of the forest" in slavic mythology, who controls everything in the forest, usually very dangerous and can easily lead you to death, but can do something good for you if you appease him)
@@lich109 it did? ok. I've tried looking for models for it and the Incarnate Elemental of Death before but all I found were kitbashes for the Incarnate Elemental of Fire and art for the Incarnate Elemental of Death...
@@Confirmed105yea, the dlc actually looks great but the way CA priced it and then handled the backlash? I’ll at least wait for a huge sale before getting it because I do genuinely want the content
Looks absolutely amazing! Happy to see some positivity again for my favorite game. And the fact that despite recording 11 minutes you still didn't manage to get all the animations speaks well of the animation work they have done.
More than idle animations. Cockatrice has a acid vomit attack animation, and also has a sync kill where it turns a unit to stone. Mutalith has a sync kill, as well as animations specific to fighting monsters, Yuan Bo also has unique dragon animations as well. And some other omissions, like death animations that are pretty unique. Would probably be a good idea to have the units fight something like the Sigmar's Sons RoR which are unbreakable. Instead of regular Empire Swordsman, since they would fight to the death and not run away. Letting you see more animations.
Oh man you missed cockatrice sync kill animation using it's gaze And Mother ostankya's puking a rat from her mouth and her charge animation summoning swarms of spirit bats
Animation wise the DLC Looks great. Models Look great too, some minor Changes with Lore of Hags, Lords/Heroes (Hag Lord) and 10 Euro less and the DLC would be good.
@@johnramos8703 there's a ton animations from game 1 & 2 that sitting in the files, but never used in game 3. Some animations from chaos dwarves is never used, or outright broken. Some older animations aren't compatible with game3 race rigs, etc.
some good animations, some bad, doesn't change that this DLC and the way CA handled everything communication wise as well as what they've essentially said is disgusting and hurts the future of the game. support them if you want but many of us won't until they do right by their fans.
A lot of these animations are up to the usual standard which is near if not the best in their field however it's clear some are quite lackluster or unfinished (Cathay suffers here bar the jade and jet lions). Even the ones that are good, it feels like they could use a bit more polish to get back to the idle stance which is what most animations in the WH trilogy do before starting a new one. Also is there certain settings on to prevent units dying to see the animation or is it bugged? Regardless it's clear the teams although passionate are not getting the resources they need.
The death animations are pretty cool too. Also, do the Jade and Jet Lions have different animations? The Jet Lion doesn't seem like it has the ground rolling animation. It seems like they should be able to make the Jet Lion into a hero/lord mount.
The Animations of the wardrum are a joke haha Bro you maybe forgot the death and charge animations. These are really good. Keep up the good work and Slava Ukraine ♥️

Monster Hunter Yian Garuga vibes

I know it's more expensive but these animations are godly
If I knew all that money is going to the animators, I'd pay full price for this DLC
Wish I could justify buying this.. but the price is just outrageous
Holy shit the blue scribe in the back fucking with the one in the front is great.
There's a few missing. Idle animations mostly. Like mother o's cooking of a rat, lol.

Reminds me of the old unit trailers where an empire swordsman always ended up dieing horribly
Shame about the price, because this honestly all looks top-notch

For the regular $15 Canadian, sure, I'd get it. For $30, no way, not enough content for that price.

much needed units for some underbaked races but worth £20...no
bleu scribe have good death's animation
My dude, Yuan Bo is so stoic, he doesn't even move his mouth when he lets out his war cry.

One thing I find heartbreaking from Warhammer is that the empire and dwarves don't have formations.
