I was there on the ground in 1999 opening packs. I was 8 years old. Probably my favorite years of my childhood was when Pokémon took over. Shout out from Warren county NJ!
Great video. This comes at a perfect time as I've just recently completed my collection of every single Arita Charizard reprint in graded form for EN and JP. So that's from JP No Rarity ALL the way to Classic Collection. I've fully accepted that I'll never get my hands on both the Test Print + Creatures Deck 25th Anniversary variants, but when I saw this video, I must admit I got anxious as I hoped that there wasn't another Zard I was missing. Thankfully, the only thing I'm missing that I might consider adding to the collection are graded forms of JP Stormfront (both 1st Ed + Unlimited prints). Otherwise, I have them all, and I believe your list is complete! Great job :)
One thing to add. I'm aware that from the VS / Web series through to 20th Anniversary, JP cards came in both 1st Ed and Unlimited variants (the latter being more rare). 20th Anniversary (JP Evolutions) was the last set to feature 1st Ed stamps. With that in mind, does anyone know if the Charizard JP comes in a non-1st Ed variant? I've looked everywhere and can't see any sign of this, but wondered if anyone here knew.
i remember pulling a charizard when i was about 10 at the card shop and how i was mobbed by a lot of older guys trying to get me to trade it, it was frankly scary, now a couple of decades down the line i still have it (even though its pretty destroyed) and i still have that memory of running away from the card shop only to tack it to the wall with a pushpin when i got home 🤣😂🤣
Fun video. Only comment is that the disco test print holo came out well before unlimited. The test print that came out around or during unlimited is the cosmos foil testprint which ended up being the holo for base set 2.
Yet again another awesome video on Pokemon history. The editing for this video must have been time consuming. Thanks for sharing and hoping to more great content:')
Technically the Premium File 2 Charizard is also a Base Set reprint since it has the same stats and attack, just with different Art and the Neo era layout
Very informative video. I’ve been wondering about every variant for a long time. I wonder if it was worth mentioning 1st edition grey stamps since cgc does recognize those
yh very nice video i love it, but you forgot two base set charizard, the 1999-2000 Spanish print unlimited and 1st edition, there is 4 print in Spanish, 1st edition, 1st edition 1999-2000, unlim and unlim 1999-2000
I’m building a Charizard “world collection” if you will. Every variant in every language from WOTC. This includes the corocoro jumbo and the box toppers!
I wish nintendo would bring back the English base set unlimited holo design. The 3d effect of the stars is beautiful and always mesmorizes me. I would collect new cards again if they did 😂
Bro this is rare ? I hav 2 of these I feel 1 is fake it says 150 hp and 200 dog fire spin and second one is saying 120 hp 100 dog fire spin which is real which is fake?
Can’t say for sure with the info you provided but Fire Spin should only do 100 damage. Feel free to join my discord and we can take a closer look for you!
@@sleevenocardbehind thanks bro I sleeved up the real one and scam one kid for the fake one for 50 dollars in inr is 3000 rupees I asked one other guy he says my real one can go for 3k dollars should I take?
I have 3. The original Base Set (not 1st edition) in German and Italian, but really bad condition; and a Korean Evolution one. So all not worth much money, but I am still happy that I have those.
What kind of video do you guys want to see next?

Holy smokes, so much time must’ve gone into not only the research, but the editing of the video as well! Loved it! 🔥
Thanks Dan!
What a fun overview of all these cards! When you were talking about gold I thought you were going to go on a small tangent about that gold pikachu 😆
I went on many tangents but cut most of them out in the final edit!

Wow! Congrats on that amazing collection! And thank you
What grades did you get? I am going for all in PSA 10 ( English only)

@@TheAKJ9 The Evolutions Charizard? It is 1st edition only.

Mad respect for knowing about the jumbo corro corro zard.
Only because my friend had one when we were kids! Always bragging about it
Celebrations foiling is underrated. i love the texture and the details
I was there, on the ground, rippin packs in 1999... too bad all those cards have been lost through the years, haha. Amazingly well researched video!!!
almost every charizards you cover in this vid, but you forgot something like thick and thin stamp on the base set 1st charizard
1:49 Who's Pogan Laul XD
Your videos are so well researched, and I'm very impressed with your work
Thank you very much!
You did a great job with the visuals and information!
Thank you so much!
Staff and Prerelease Evolutions are some of the best modern cards out there!
I like your videos mate!
This is stellar, man. Great work. I hope you wind up making enough on your videos to get a 25th anniversary UPC!
lol thank you! I’ll probably just grab the metal pikachu (already have the Charizard) and I’ll be happy

Thank you for the correction! It was most likely printed on January 21, 1999, shortly after the release of Base Set.
I wanted to make a video about this. There also is a new version of the trade please released in 2016.
I just bought one it's good the now i have the 3th english version.
Love it! Great content sir!
Loved the video as always! These deep dives are the best. Where did you get the black stay promo sign in the back?
Thank you for watching, I appreciate it! I actually modelled and 3D printed that myself
@@sleevenocardbehind I'd buy one from you if you'd be willing!

bought the classic collection in both English and Japanese.

I considered it but I want to do a whole separate video on 1st edition stamps. I didn’t feel like they fit in here
Another great and informative video! Also love your video editing
Thanks Coop! Congrats on 60k!
When i was a kid, shadowless cards didnt look as good as the fresh carda so i traded them all off 😢
Opening packs of pokemon cards while we all fought in super smash bros was good times
Are any English base set charizards more valuable than it's base set 2 counterpart?

For the 20 year anniversary evolution Charizard that’s holo, how much does it cost? The one that is NOT stamped, just the regular one. Thanks
It looks like they’re sitting around $50usd on tcgplayer right now

This is a cool idea!
This is an amazing video!
Thanks Arnold 💪🏻
where did you get images from all the versions?
I reached out to some friends and posted in some discord communities!

I agree. I think it’s seriously overshadowed by the cosmos foil pattern. When you get it in the right lighting, it looks like you can reach inside
Awesome video topic
