Today I'm sharing a minimalist kids room makeover on a budget. We got our boy an Ikea Slattum bed for this room makeover. It's the SLATTUM Knisa light grey bed with an upholstered bed frame, in a standard double size. We're sharing how we assembled the bed and a quick first impressions review on it.

Hey Madeline, thanks for the video. I’m thinking about buying this bed for me in double bed version, but I read in some reviews that the wooden bars underneath the mattress are a bit noisy and squeaky when moving on the bed. Did you experience this too? Many thanks

I just got this bed standard double although I despise UK bed sizing and it’s so hard too find the right mattresses for a standard double bed and im going too get it up on the weekend so I hope it goes well!
But I also feel like the legs looks slightly too skinny for this size off a bed and it looks a little funny if I have too be honest I was planning on getting a single bed but in IKEA there wasn’t really anything that was my cup off tea atm this bed isn’t my favourite either but my mattress is terrible on my current bed and it’s cold and woren down so hopefully it will work it’s larzger then a single though so I will probably have too move my whole room around unfortunately as I like how it is at the moment
