Beijing Bird's nest scale model (Full timelapse)

The whole building process in one video!
Beijing National stadium (also known as "Bird's nest") is designed by architects Herzog & de Meuron. It hosted the 2008 Olympic games and will host the 2022 winter Olympic games. This model is build into 1:500 scale.
That stunning piece of music is composed by Hans Zimmer and it is made for movie "Inception".

This is amazing! I used to make stadiums as well, but then in Minecraft so I know it's a lot of hard work and skill. Btw how do you know that you got the right dimensions? Because you don't want your stadium to be slanted.

Thanks! That's a doog question. There's no way to be sure that I got the right dimensions. I use completed SketchUp models made by random people and sometimes those models can have really bad mistakes. Usually I can find some original floor plan or other drawing from the internet and check that the SketcUp model dimensions are close enough correct, and then I just take my dimensions from it
