I feel like this would’ve been Crash’s version of Shadow the Hedgehog. It even would’ve came out about the time when companies were taking their franchises into the edgy route
Interesting concept, though I can see how at the time this could have been seen as redundant- we literally had just had a game that introduced an "evil" bandicoot with Wrath Of Cortex. I know Crunch turned good at the end, but same idea.

I'm kinda glad this never got off the ground. It seems really gimmicky, not to mention Crash already had both a evil-ish doppelganger (Fake Crash) and a "superior" prototype character (Crunch). He'd have yet another evil counterpart the same year, in Twinsanity. So no, I can't say I want them to bring Crush back as a character.

Yeah, I remember hearing about this a few years back. It's an interesting concept for a Crash game, but do we really need yet another doppelgänger of Crash? We've already got Fake Crash, Evil Crash, and if you wanna get technical, Carbon Crash (the white-furred version of Crash that serves as the Player 2 character in Crash Of The Titans). Adding another Crash clone to the pile would feel kinda redundant at this point. And don't forget that we've also got two Tawnas, two N. Tropys... Hell, we even have two Spyros now thanks to Dark Spyro! How many more characters are they going to duplicate in some form?!
I really hope that Activision won't cancel Wumpa League as Crash Bandicoot 4's DLC or as another brand new Crash game for Crash's 25th anniversary in this year. I think Crush has actually been rendered obsolete. The origin story? Basically that of Crunch with a few insignificant tweaks. The concept of an evil Crash? Twinsanity went with the feral take. A Crash that's crazier? That's Fake Crash to a T. Doesn't leave much room for this guy to appear as anything but a poor OC, does it? HOWEVER! If we had a plot where a legion of different "bad" Crashes from the multiverse were uniting, this guy would _have_ to be the Big Bad (unless we go with Cortex again, or N.Tropy, or Uka Uka). Because there's one aspect that Crush could reasonably have that Fake and Evil do not: intelligence. Specifically the sort of mad intelligence that would simultaneously think starting a war is a fun time, and is easily capable of _winning_ it. (Why is this the second time my thoughts for Crash's future ended up with "legion of one particular villain" as the result?)

This just unlocked a funny memory for me. In my early teens, I used to post on the Sierra's Crash forums, and there I posted a fan-game concept called Crush...the Jackal. The idea was that my Crush was a jackal magically-enhanced by a sorcerer, who just happened to be Cortex's long-lost brother, therefore making Crush Crash's cousin. So you know, the typical trappings of everyone's first fanfiction haha. Why a jackal, you may ask. Well, I was obsessed with everything Ancient Egyptian back then.
Out of all of the mediocre crash games made after naughty dog gave up, this crush guy would've been interesting to see in action, even if it is just "I'm evil you, but DARKER!"
I done research and found an article on what really happened and why it was canceled. But that was a long time ago, so I don't know where the original article is. But I did found the user who made those concepts, maybe you can contact him/her and talk to him/her about Crush Bandicoot
Welp, I think we have ourselves a future boss for Crash On The Run. And at the very least, a new skin for Crash IF we get a CTR 2, which I assume would have absolutely any character imaginable from all corners of obscurity.

I assume the purple for Crush is because purple is the color of pride. So this might explain why he would be the evil twin: being the opposite of Crash. Also the evil doppelganger cliché builds on the evil twin having a much darker color then the good guy (cough Crunch cough)
I think it would be cool to see Crush in the series. People are saying that Evil & Fake Crash are already a thing, but Fake Crash is a joke character, and Evil Crash was only used once (and as a skin in Tag Team Racing)
All games are canon because multiverse therefore despite the unknown stories, even the cancelled games are canon, as the evil twins already said the multiverse is infinite.

Well... the thing about Crush is that his overall design in the original concept is a bit too...unoriginal when compared to other "evil" variants of Crash. Crunch is a least made to look like a super-soldier, Evil Crash from Twinsanity is a much redder and feral Crash, Fake Crash is just regular crash but with giant goofy teeth and eyebrows... so one way to make him a bit more unique is to make him a lot more lanky and chaotic... like Ripper Roo levels of chaotic. BUT I COULD TOTALLY SEE A SKIN MOD OF CRUSH ON CRASH 4.
