I have just sent a message about applying as well as a virtual participant. Would love to contribute and help others with bipolar and mental health disorders

I have just found this channel 🤗🤗 My son who is 19 has been diagnosed with schizophrenia. He has finally agreed to give Keto a go. Thank you so much for sharing your stories. I have read Dr Palmers book Brain Energy. Having a Mum who was medicated for schizophrenia all her life, this research cant come quick enough. Im pushing my sons doctor to take this diet seriously...unfortunately he believes my son needs to be medicated for the rest of his life. These doctors so need to be taught about nutrition. Cant wait to watch the rest of the episodes. Keep up the great work!!!

Wow! Blaze is an old soul at 21. How beautiful to hear him say that he is doing the keto diet not just for himself but for other people through the Stanford clinical trial run by Dr. Sethi. That is like the coolest thing I’ve heard today.

This is going to save lives....and quality of life. I did a 3 day fast and by the 3rd day my brain went clear. It was bizzare. The fog lifted.

Blaze, Matt & Ian, Thank you. I appreciate you descriptions of what it feels like to have bipolar & the basics of Type 1 & 2. Agree that having hope can be lifesaving and especially for children. It really drives home the importance of these clinical trials.

Thank you Blaze, Matt and Iain spreading so much hope is fantastic! Sharing your experience with Keto is so important. #wecantwait - we have to spread the word about this powerful but save medical tool! I think you found a great and impressive way of doing that #keeponketo

I’m loving this episode. It’s just so empowering and positive. But also pragmatic. I remember one of my depressions before I was even diagnosed with postpartum bipolar disorder, I had two beautiful dogs. Tara and She-ra. And one day they pooped on top of my sheet on my bed, and I only had the energy to somehow get rid of the poop in a trashcan and not change the sheet. I have always been a very clean person so this was rather unusual. Thank God my future husband came into the room and helped me out. And this was just the tip of the iceberg of my depression because later I would have treatment -resistant bipolar depression, and it made this poop incident look like nothing.

Awesome channel Dr Campbell, can you go off meds if you're on keto?

Thanks Gerard! That is a decision only a psychiatrist can make. In our pilot study we had patients continue their normal treatment while on the diet. We will publish results shortly.

I did a micro dose of psilocybin about 45 days ago. I had a migraine everyday all day long for 45 days. Terrible constipation. I ate carbs in an effort to do anything to help my headaches. Maybe the carbs or maybe cyclobenzaprine helped with the headaches. But now the hallucinations the ups and downs. I am waiting on exogenous ketones in the mail but thinking maybe lithium could help???

Go Carnivore guys ..... I am now 90% for 4 years - I started with Keto. 55 year old woman. My depression, suicidal thoughts, angry personality - returns like a bang as soon as I eat something not carnivore or dairy. I do find dairy is not great for me also. Beef, duck, lamb, eggs, fish and shellfish is the best for me. I now see chicken as a totally weak meat. Listen to Dr Anthony Chaffee, Dr Shawn Baker MD. After listening to Dr Georgia Ede I went more meat. My body craves beef - today I have had three fatty steaks, I fried them in duck fat.
I never realised I was bi polar, but the more I learn the more I realise I have been bi polar since a teen.

It’s hard for me to get my ketones high and glucose low on carnivore. I’ve only managed it when I did a 72hr fast. My ketones sit around .4 otherwise
