- This is Part II of 'The Most Beautiful Shots in Cinematic History'. Thank you for all the suggestions, I've decided to make a second part to my last video that I uploaded in August. This time I decided to include the name of the movie in the corner of each shot so you guys can know the name of each movie. Enjoy!
As you probably know, I don't get paid for the videos I make, so if you would like to support me you can do so here! www.buymeacoffee.com/colinverse
Music used in video:
Sufjan Stevens, "Fourth Of July" (Official Audio)
• Sufjan Stevens, "Fourt...
If you haven't already checked out part 1 make sure to do so (it's the first video on my channel) as many shots that you thought deserved a spot on the list are displayed there.
Obviously there are thousands of other worthy shots that I could have included in this video and it's impossible to cram all of those shots in a 4 minute video. I plan on making a part 3 in the future so if you want to leave some recommendations for more movie scenes and clips feel free to leave a comment!
I tried my best to include a large diversity of scenes ranging from foreign directors like Andrei Tarkovsky, Akira Kurosawa, Sergio Leone, Bong Joon-ho, Kar-Wai Wong etc.
I also intended to have some shots from Ingmar Bergman but couldn't seem to find high quality downloads so they couldn't make the cut.

any movies you would like to see in part 3?
Since you also include classic cinema on your compilations, I think Douglas Sirk movies deserve a mention ("All that heaven allows" could be a good choice), also "Le plaisir" from Max Ophüls has some very interesting cinematography. And also "Freaks" form Tod Browning has some amazing shots.
Birdman when Riggan buy a drink the scene of the lights is awesome
@@j.f.l.bousquet1998 I will check them out!
@@RohitSingh-qn4mk this is an amazing scene
Can you make "the beauty of bollywood " , I never seen people appreciating the visuals of bollywood but the thing is bollywood now days are making shitty movies , so it made people to hate it .
I love that the majority of these clips are mostly little to no cgi used. These raw cinematic shots are just something else.
raw < original
The footage being raw is what makes it beautiful, it makes it feel almost empty and melancholic. It's like how a photo with an old camera has a more nostalgic feel than a photo with a newer camera. This is why I love filmmaking, it's a wonderful form of art. And these shots are absolutely beautiful.
Sufjan stevens music makes everything beautiful
Exactly
Love his music
I came for that
I dear his music to make a video of the most hiddeous creature ever covering itself in feces beautifull
overrated
bladerunner 2049 is full of cinematic shorts ......such a masterpiece love it
"fourth of july" with these clips is so beautiful.
Today
Cinematography express something that words can't
i agree
True
Musics do
2:23 Never thought I would see King Kong vs. Godzilla in this video
Wong Kar Wai' cinematography is so mesmerizing
I love that you include the movies names. LOVELY VIDEO!
Thank you! I'm going to start including movie names in future videos
.
1917: this movie is a must-see! The director gives the illusion of the entire film being 2 scenes, NO cuts. It was the first thing I noticed when I watched and the only thing I could focus on the whole time. What a trip! A visual masterpiece 💯
Did not know how much I needed this today. Thank you for the creative nourishment of beauty!
Idk why but i have always found that scene from se7en to be so beautiful is the one john doe is pointing at mills in the pouring rain.
The way it was shot from bellow, to make doe appear powerful, mighty, and mills hurt, vulnerable, blinded by the raindrops; defenseless.
Just perfection.
That film in general is just extremely well shot
@@pilkers2 Yes !

You are a movie hero !
Wasn't kvasnika on there
Memories of geisha really one of the beautiful and sad movie I've watched
The scene in Shawshank where Andy escapes and raises his hands to the sky is the most beautiful shot I have ever scene. That's just my opinion, of course there were tons of great shots in that movie!
Great video mate!
One of the most greatest acting performences ❤
Huh
Wow this was so beautiful
Yeah !!!!they are beautiful shots ,Love them all!!,🔴🤫🫢
ahhh these videos make me dream, i love them.
working on a part 3 right now
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty was such a good movie.
It was an experience
Oh man, I want to see all the movies now !
Beautiful
Lovely.
What a wonderful edit ❤️
breath taking
Left out the cherry blossom scene in Excalibur or even the sunrise scene in Excalibur or the the sun rays breaking through the clouds hitting the water in Excalibur
I'm very much a fan of wide shot ❤
Surprised to see so little Christopher Nolan movies here. They are one of the greatest in terms of cinematography
I immediately heard the soundtrack of The Tomb Of The Fireflies:
It's beautiful ;)
You mean grave of the fireflies. And it's not the official soundtrack
How beautiful is cinema🤩🤩🤩
Silent and mesmerised I'm sitting naked on a sofa with just the cat purring in my lap while soft evening wind blows through open window. And this compilation is like cream on cake.
???? Bro wth
@@ezre Surreal, isn't it?
You need to use Excalibur! in particular, it’s the scene where they’re riding through the flowered trees on their final quest
I love cinematography
Thank u bro ima use this for an edit noe
02:15 gorgeous
I saw 'Dreams' by Akira Kurosawa in theater back in the 90s, if you want to be a good photographer just study Akira's work, he is a master of wide shots and amazing colours
Christopher Nolan is a 💎. He's really masterpiece renderer.❤
There is an Indian horror movie called Tumbadd. They took 6 years to make that movie. And they made it so beautifully. I think some shots from that movie could make the cut.
hmm I'll definitely check it out for part 3, thanks!
Thank you for a great video, I love cinema :) Wong Kar Wai, North by North West (all Hitchcock) Wings of Desire, Spectre, I would love to see Diva (1981 film) Jean-Jacques Beineix, the Hunger staring, David Bowie and Catherine Catherine Deneuve and 2046 (The Android scene with Faye Wong)
Beautifull
this was such a great video, wow
thank you!
Bravo :)
Thanks :)
Interesting fact (probably not for native English speakers) : Shawshank Redemption wasn't about escaping the prison, but spiritual redemption of it's prisoners
i love film so much
Great video...
Thank you!
good vid
You can pick damn near any shot from Space Odyssey. To think that film came out in 68 is astonishing.
Good call by starting as you ended first vide (you could put here almost every Lawrence of Arabia scene). And I like the choice with the match, it’s like “let’s start this, let’s set fire to this video” 😅
Not surprising finding all the best directors repeated: Kubrick, Kurosawa, Leone, Scorsese, Spielberg… they are all geniuses!
I noticed you synchronised the change of scene with the music… bravo for the work!
Then it opened into me a question: it is sound/music part of cinematography?
Some they will argue than not because there are other Oscars for that 😂. But acting too and bad acting can ruin a good light, angle, lens… choice. Maybe a good scene doesn’t need any sound as it is beauty in itself.
What is your opinion?
you could show me 2 girls 1 cup and i'd still think it was beautiful as long as you played sufjan stevens in the background
What a beautiful song
I know right. It’s immaculate for the feel of this video
1:19 felt
Beautiful video!
There is just a small error. At 4min12 it says suspiria (2018) but it is the original from 1977 and not the remake.
Thats the Old Suspiria !
The entire Stalker movie is beautiful
I feel like the end fight shot in the snow from Kill Bill Vol 1 was way better then the random stabbing shot you included from it but other than that cool video
The set design and colours in that shot is what makes it good
My fav is Kim Novak and vertigo
i just want to see this in instagram, there any page posting this?
Numerous Dr Zhivago scenes, the black hole and toroidal farm landscape scenes in the generation ship in Interstellar, tai chi silhouetted against the stars in The Fountain. The docking scene with baroque guild heighliners in Lynch’s Dune. More?
Wow, you remembered about "Stalker" by Andrey Tarkovsky. Do you watch this film?
Where are the HER movie clips? Great video btw these shots give me so much peace thank you
So glad that 1917 was on here
it has great cinematography
@@colinverse True that
❤❤❤❤
Do one with kalki and baahubali shots
pov all three seasons of umbrella academy:
The Revenant ?
Dune ?
😢
Theme music??
Noice
basically any shot from a stanley kubrick's movie deserves to be in here...
It’s not the Suspiria from 2018 but the original one from Dario Argento
What movie is that scene from in your profile picture?
Mishima: a life in four chapters
Хороший вкус, Колин...
3:30
4:08 movie name ?
It literally says at the bottom
nothing from " Big fish"?
Wish u added some scenes from interstellar
Sorrentino
There's a filmmaker called 'Mani Ratnam' who lives southern part of india
Song name?
Anyway beauty video
You mixed up memories of murder 2003 with memoir of a murder 2017
Mirror
Can you write name of movies you used for the video please ?
it’s at the bottom left
I think than train tunnel shot is from Memories of murder. Never seen memoirs of murder (2017) but it could be a rip off shot
i thought the 1917 shot was going to be most of the video
Three Paul Thomas Anderson movies, but I think that there are better shots in There will be Blood.
Blade Runner 2049's K talking to Giant Pink Hologram Joi beats all of this
3:35?
I think I am the only one who obsessed with cinematography 😅
where is " An Elephant Sitting Still "
really disappointed
Make a Bollywood version
and include Tumbadd in it
my personal favorite is when Captain America decided to go against whole Thanos's army in endgame with all his teammates defeated and him being the last to stand, even tho he had 0% chance of winning.
