    lots of wifi plugs that you can plug it in these days and use the wifi plug as a timer as on and off. I actually have a wifi power strip on my aquarium and I used it as a timer to turn off the pump when my auto feeder is turned on which is also connected to the same wifi strip.

    For my 20 tall I cut the inside rim piece off like i did with the bubble magus qq1. I folded the piece I cut off in half and slipped it under the bracket and it sits very nice!

      I used a piece of eggcrate. About 4 "blocks" fit perfectly with no cutting required. I almost cut my rim too but this last ditch effort worked

      Would this light be strong enough for a 20 tall??

    If you plug it into a timer would the sunrise begin when your designated time hits? Or is it an internal timer in the light?

    • @TheFishTankGuy
      @TheFishTankGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll try to explain if I understand your question correctly. The light has an internal timer that works on a 24hr cycle. That cycle starts when the light receives power. When the light is powered, it will begin the sunrise cycle and stay on based on the setting you choose...we'll say 10hrs. It will turn off after 10 hrs and the sunrise will start again the next day, at the same time it was plugged in. It's internal, but there is no internal clock if that makes sense. If you lose power in your house, it will hold the settings, but the timing of when sunrise starts will either be determined by when power is restored or will require you unplugging and plugging back in at your desired start time. Basically it works great but will require a little intervention if the power is cut! Hope this helps!

    I would like to know if you have a controller for this light to do night and day

    I have the older version on my Biocube and I run AI Vegas on my 185 & 55. Total of 6 Vegas. I can't tell you how amazed by the colors and growth of this Aqua Knight light! I am very impressed! I praised my Vegas, but spent money that wasn't necessary. I can't find another controller for my Vegas, because they not longer make them and frustrated trying to find one. I have a new Anemone (RBT) tank and will be adding the new Aqua Knight's light. I have had my 185 saltwater tank since 2013 and know how easy it is to get caught up in the expensive "I have to have it's", but do yourself a favor in getting one of these little guys. They work just as good and don't get caught up in chasing pars. I wish I could insert a picture here, but guess I will just have to make a video. Thanks for posting this video.

    Hoping for an answer even though this video is a year old. I was looking at these lights for a 60 gallon, I was going to buy 2, would that work? Also have they held up?

    Think 2 30 watts would be ok for 29 gallon?

    Do you know of any controller that will work with it

    I had the v1 and the v2. The v2 was turned into a puck style light like the ai prime. It added the timer and you can set the time iirc

    I just got this model but can’t get the sunrise function to work. I have it set for 12 hour setting but when I plug it in it doesn’t slowly ramp up. Any suggestions?

    • @christiemercer676

      Mine too!!! I plug it up and it stays the same colors the whole time 🤷‍♀️

    • @bourne2cruise1963
      @bourne2cruise1963 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@christiemercer676 I figured it out.. You have to hold the timer button down and then the white lights will blink.. That turns the timer on and off. Then adjust the light colors you prefer with the white and blue. Next tap the timer to adjust the hours ran preference. Last step is unplug and plug them in. The slow ramp should start. Good luck

    Does this mean when a power interruption occurs, the sunrise and 10 hr schedule will restart when the electricity comes back?

    • @TheFishTankGuy
      @TheFishTankGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that's exactly what it means. It would benefit from some form of battery back up...
