Yessss. Join me in this mess! 😂 I just ran the second draft of the only box I've opened which I'll be using for my set cube. I documented every card on cubecobra and, although I don't have a lot of experience opening boxes, I will say that the collation was really interesting. First, the balance across colors was almost exactly equal. Second, I pulled basically two of every common (with a few exceptions) which, when I considered that the colors were so evenly distributed, tells me that a lot of thought and care went into the draft experience. Third, the only land pulled was Reflecting Pool, but I did pull the kitten and the archivist which ultimately works better for my draft cube cause who really wants a land for a rare in limited? 😂 Last, as I watched your video I noticed that a lot of the rares and mythics you pulled were the ones I did not! So I don't know what that means except maybe it was cut from a sister sheet or something...also, would you be interested in trading for/selling any of these to me to contribute to my cube efforts? The cost of my cube continues to rise...🤔😅
It’s only my first box but the collation felt soooo much better in the draft box. I’ll be picking up more. WildcatMTG.SM@gmail.com. Hit me up about any of the cards I opened that you are looking to acquire.
This felt so much more even than the set boxes. Between the etched slots and showcase art it’s just overloaded with the Legendarys and it feels like those eat up way too much of the Set box pulls. I will definitely be picking up more draft boxes.
Great video as always man. Hey I forgot to ask, what kinda camera rig do you run? I’m playing around with a GoPro hero 9 at the moment, but thinking I should get an actual camera…
In my experience I did get more dragons out of the draft boxes, but I had the best luck out of the bundle boxes, which is strange because they are set packs.
I will definitely picking up some more draft boxes. It’s one box but it felt so much better than the set boxes. Interesting that the bundles have been your been hits. That’s awesome!
I appreciate you looking for value in unexpected places. edit: btw off the top of your head do you remember which old sets used to contain packs in draft boxes wherein all the cards were mythic/rare?
As I recall Kaldheim had so called “god boxes” where every card of every pack in that box were gods. Never saw it in person but I’ve seen a couple videos that seemed like they could be legitimate. That’s the only one that I can think of off the top of my head.
@@WildcatMTG so my 3 2x2 draft boxes came in today. i had 1 box that was under by like $100. really crappy mythics. then one of the other ones: borderless cavern, consecrated sphinx, divine visitation, imperial seal, mana vault, foil wrenn, and ezuri (lol) as mythics. no rares to write home about in that box, but oh well. xD
The mythic slot can be very unforgiving. 40 Mythics and 15 of them are currently under $5. If you’re not hitting a few of the top tier you really need help from the rare slot which can also be pretty juicy. Glad your second box was awesome! 5 draft boxes and 5 collector boxes and I have yet to pull a Sphinx. I’m not complaining because overall I’ve pulled pretty well. Particularly on my collector boxes… but still kind of odd that there are both Rares and Mythics I’ve not hit yet.
Agree. I can’t imagine that they would intentionally have it so you can go 2-3 boxes with no lands. Though WoTC does some questionable things so I can’t say that with any certainty. Regardless I will definitely be giving draft boxes another shot.
Cool video! That knife to open the box had be chuckling.
Thanks and thanks for watching! Trusty knife gets the job done again and again!

Yes, get the draft boxes in this set. Can't believe I'm saying that with how much I loved other Set boxes.

As always, thanks for watching. Nothing fancy at all. I actually use my iPhone 12 to record and a ring light stand to stabilize and hold the phone.

Are you going to do any more double masters 22 in the future
Already recorded and in the queue. 😎

pretty decent box for sure. gg
Absolutely. I’d take Baldur’s Gate openings like that every time.

@@WildcatMTG ya. I still haven't gotten kozilek, ulamog, or crucible off the top of my head. Eldrazi seem to be super rare
They definitely screwed up the track printing in the set boxes for Baldur's Gate.
