  • Explore the wild west at Disneyland on a virtual walk-through! This video is a re-upload, I wasn't satisfied with the way the original video turned out. I have color-graded the footage so the light and the colors appear like they actually did the day I shot the video. And I have uploaded the video at a higher bit rate than previously done to give you smoother motion and less pixelation. Enjoy!

    I always loved Frontierland and New Orleans Square when I was a kid. The other lands were also fun it was just this area that had the lasting impression on me.

      It was! I enjoyed lunch at Cafe Orleans, along the edge of the river. Watched the boat go by a few times.

    My grandfather was a carpenter when Disneyland was being built and spent most of his time in Frontierland. When the Disney movie was being shot about Davey Crockett, they used the unfinished Frontierland for one of the scenes. Fess Parker (Davey) was supposed to use a double bladed axe. He didn't know how to use it, and no one in the production crew did either. Fortunately, my grandfather did, and he taught the "King of the wild frontier" how to use it. He was approached by Walt Disney one day and addressed him as Mr. Disney. Walt Disney told him to never address him as such. He was to be called Walt!

    Hi Alex, I thought this video was strange as there was no narration but as the video went on it was so relaxing and I felt I was actually walking though myself. Thanks for your time....

    Thanks for the relaxing video. I needed that after watching your ghost stories. Do u find that you still enjoy Disneyland knowing that spooky things occur there?

    • @AlextheHistorian
      @AlextheHistorian  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I still enjoyed working and playing there despite it being haunted. In fact, when my co-workers wanted to trade shifts so they didn't have to work closing in Golden Horseshoe, I ALWAYS took those shifts, I found the paranormal aspect of it fascinating.

      @@AlextheHistorian Yea the first one was different and cool! The 2nd one was sort of believable but a whole freaking planet? That being said, From what little I heard of Lucas version of the last 3 Disney's was far better! Lucas version went like this (Note copy and pasted) Lucas planned to introduce fans to the “Whills,” which is an ancient life form that feeds on the Force. Essentially, says Lucas, the Whills are the Force, and those with the Force have midi-chlorians that communicate with the Whills, giving the powerful beings the ability to control the galaxy far, far away

    I was wondering why the Park was so empty. Then I realized this was durring the PLANdemic!

    • @AlextheHistorian
      @AlextheHistorian  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Actually no. This was filmed in Spring of 2019. It was never meant to be fully released publicly. But I uploaded it to TH-cam and published it in September of 2020 because the park had been closed all summer and I thought people might enjoy the video.
      The reason the park is empty is because I filmed it early in the morning. All my footage of Disneyland was filmed in the morning before the bulk of the crowds arrived.
