I'll listen this perfect performance again .. And again... I forget to breathe.. It is improbable, magically, so sad , deeply enter you to yourself...!!!! Clara !!!
In each chord, each harmonic or each poetic detour, Clara Haskil finds the deep meaning of this music, drawing it from its interior. It's as if the music leans on duration of wonderful dreams with ascending and descending musical phrases.Beethoven's 4th concerto is probably the best of all his concerti that suits Clara Haskil the best with her Mozart-style performance.Thank you for posting this video!
'the best ever' - How I wish people wouldn't think like that. Clara got the gold, Lipatti got the silver and Richter got the bronze. There is a pantheon out there. Each of the great pianists finding something individual yet true. I love this performance "this side idolatory" but tomorrow I shall listen to Lupu and also rejoice.
I don't think of anyone as 'silver' or 'first, second or third'. Music is not the Olympic games. Piano competitions are only valid as a means for young artists to be heard. Just look at the legions of great pianists who didn't win the big competition, and the many, now forgotten, who did.
Comme cela a été dit, ses interprétations traversent le temps et nous rejoignent d' une manière étonnante. Merci madame Haskil..
Food for the soul ... as if I never heard playing the piano before. This is it! Divine!

Wunderbar wie diese Frau, spielt.. Alles klingt wie das original, tiefsinnig
