  • Today’s ASMR Male soft spoken ramble is a bit different from my usual story times. I’ve had pneumonia for two months and the physical pain and despair it has caused me has really impacted me in ways I didn’t even think possible. I thought I’d share my experience as a way of showing my support to those who unfortunately must live with life-long conditions that afflict their lives on a daily basis. If you’ve had similar experiences, let me know how you dealt with them and how they affected you

I can’t imagine the stress and frustration of being jumped around from doctor to doctor not getting an answer. You poor thing ❤️

@@LIZZYKISS100 Yes, it was very disheartening. Potentially even more so than the pneumonia itself 😔 luckily, I'm back to normal now and I hope I don't have to go through that ever again! ❤️

So sorry you had to suffer for so long and not had empathetic doctors. I'm almost certain that had you had better medical help from the beginning - more time taken with you - you might have been able to heal quicker. I'm glad you are better now ❤️

@@RetreatwithRachelASMR Thank you so much, Rachel! ❤️ I wish I knew how things would have turned out if I had received better care and better communication, but I guess we'll never know and I most certainly hope I never have to find out in the future! 😜

Could you consider doing a video about long term relationships? Have you ever had one? Would you consider being in one? Any stories to share 💘💝 I really enjoy your chatty videos ❤

@@Kaytlin_ Kaytlin! Perfect timing: I've been meaning to make a video on that for a long time but I never knew when, so I'll take your request as a sign 😊 I'll film it tomorrow but it will probably come out early November 😜 I'll actually make one on what I think about relationships and one where I tell you some specific stories: get the popcorn out! 🤣

Ha ha, these time-shifted videos are confusing.😂 How is your health today, the first of October? I hope you're finally feeling well?🙏 Lucky me, I never get sick. I might get a mild cold every few years, but that's about it.🤞
I did, however, suffer from chronic migraines for many years. It started slowly at first, but each year the attacks became more severe and more frequent. Eventually I was in so much pain every few weeks that it was almost the end of me.😨 As if the pain wasn't enough, migraine was also the cause of my (social) anxiety and depression. It sucked me dry and cut me off from life.💀 I lost so many years, years that I will never get back. (Now I have to catch up on everything!😂) By chance I was cured of migraine in April 2021. A few months later the anxiety and depression vanished and the old me returned. Yay!😁 (It's an incredible story that I might tell one day if my English is good enough.) For the past three years, I've been learning how to live my life again and I've achieved a lot, but there are still some things I have to overcome. It's an ongoing process.😂
Anyway, there's this saying that "health is wealth", and it couldn't be truer. Health (mental & physical) is indeed the most precious thing we have and we shouldn't take it for granted.🙏 Cheers to a healthy life!🥂 (w/o alcohol, of course.😉)

      @@patrik_wilhelm Today I'm feeling great again! 🤩
I'm really sorry to hear about your migraines. I had something on a much smaller scale when I was a child: I would get paralysong headaches out of the blue and the only way to make them stop was to sleep. Luckily, with therapy it turned out it was just too many thoughts that I needed to express, and once I started therapy, the headaches went away. I can only imagine what you went through since it was much more severe 😔
But I'm happy you are back to your old self and you are working towards living life to the fullest again! 🎉🤩 It must be such a great relief!
