Are you interested in being involved in innovative production technologies in health monitoring, geotextiles, and wind energy or even the design of novel high performance fibers, such as airbags, for the automotive and aviation industry? In this M.Sc. program you will explore the latest developments in textile technology in a wide range of subjects, for example high-performance fibers, 3D textiles and
new processes or machines to manufacture digital products. Since 10% of all materials are fiber-based, this course of study covers all stages of textile production: yarn, fabrics, composites, and semi-finished parts. When you begin this M.Sc. program, you will choose one of two modes of study: coursework or research. The coursework option focuses on practical and applied textile engineering, while the research option allows you to specialize in a particular field of interest.

Is there any chances to get part time job along with Msc study ?
There are opportunities for students to work as a student assistant (“Hiwi”) or in a “mini-job” during their studies in Germany to help them fund their study and living expenses. Students can work up to 19 hours a week besides their main occupation, i.e. completing their Master’s degree. We recommend students, however, to not take up a job in their first semester, as getting used to a new studying and living environment will take some time.

I see your website there is a tuition fee approx 5500€ per semester for MSc but public universities are state funded So please clear me what is tuition fee for textile engineering in MSc.

RWTH Aachen University is a public institution, funded by the government and taxes. Education is provided almost free of costs for Germans, and also for around 7 per cent for international students. Since we would like to enable more international students to receive the education of RWTH, RWTH International Academy offers the organization of study programs within a private funding scope. Our funding is based on a non-profit structure which requests the income of tuition fees to cover the expenses of the teaching and administration - contrary to the public system this basis is not subsidized by the state.
The degree certificate remains still the official one of RWTH, also the scientific leadership lies with the RWTH itself.
If you study in a German taught program at RWTH Aachen University, you do not have to pay tuition fees as of now, since the university is state-funded. That means, however, that the program is taught fully in German, and for admission you need to demonstrate a very high proficiency in German through a recognized German test like DSH.
