Brandon: "My greatest fear is dying, because then I will never finish my books." Me: "My greatest fear is Brandon dying, because then he will never finish his books."
Brandon is genuinely one of my favorite humans on earth, not only because of his obvious and insane output of creativity through his storytelling, but also because once you get to know him from this channel, it's hard not to be fascinated by the way he looks at anything in life. Brandon is truly incredibly admirable in so many way, but I do really wish he took a bit more care of his own body because of this same fear. I don't mean to judge, I love the dude, but I can't help seeing his concerns as a bit contradictory to the way he seems to live his life.
@UC5OcD_COGvTQpu9FgWyPgSAOh dude, don't push the "weight is not an indication of health" agenda on me plz lol, you would just ridicule yourself. Being lighly overweight is one thing, Brandon is obese. Again, I love the dude, I wouldn't care if I didn't care about him, we can live our lifes however we please after all, but the fact that his life expectations are statistically lower because of his weight is literally a fact. I'm so late to this game, but how the hell do people know how much he weighs? For the record, I'm 150lbs over weight at 34, and I'm getting the surgery so that I can be there for my two kids. There's no shame in doing so!
Once you get far enough into the video it’s just Brandon and Dan having (sort of) serious discussions about life while the camera focuses on ben trying not to die

@@GoldenMechaTiger yeah what Machtyn said, and unfortunately, I don’t think I can convince my mission president that the BranDan combo talking about stealing food is religious:)
After the horrendous article that was released today, I'm petitioning for Brandon to do an interview with someone who actually has journalistic integrity--namely, Chris from Hot Ones. Lad deserves a great interview.
Fun fact: Brandon mentioned that "xin" was the Chinese character for spicy. In fact, the Chinese characters for spicy are 辛辣 (xin1 la4), and normally, in isolation, 辣 (la) is used to describe something as being spicy. In this case, 辛 is attached as almost a proper noun.
I been following this channel since the beginning. After the lectures I wished he'd become a TH-camr. Now he goes all out for us with awesome content, while running a business, writing like a machine and being a real genuine nice human being. My biggest inspiration.
I see that "put away childish things" differently, I think. For me, it is referring to truly childish aspects of character (like tantrums and self-centeredness, etc.) It is, for me, _not_ referring to childlike aspects of character. So I don't think playing with things that most folks deem for kids only is something this verse is talking about. Besides, it's a lot of fun to play with your kids and grandkids even "kiddy" games.
The intersection of the Venn Diagram of Ryan Reynolds and Brandon Sanderson is crazy genius self-promotion and marketing. no other author even comes close!

Hearing Ben talk about learning how to forgive people and accepting they won't always meet your standards honestly got me emotional. I am pretty hard on people, none more than myself. I know that it's not a healthy habit, but its a hard one too break. Like him, I have given up on friendships over pretty inconsequential things that for one reason or enough I couldn't get past. THE SCOVILE SCALE is a dilution scale. Basically, it’s the ratio you would need to mix the sauce with water to no longer taste any spiciness. So, a sauce that rates 3,500 scoviles, would need to be diluted at a 1:3,500 ratio to no longer be spicy. We did an exhibit about chile & the creation of the Scovile Scale at the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Museum.
