This is such a great video! I heard someone from Naples say that the reason Pizza Frita became so popular historically is because of an outbreak of cholera, where the only way to be able to know that your food was safe to eat was to fry it at high temperatures. Thank you for this beautiful video, I love watching you two together and it is such a food & culture education… Mile grazie❤
Fried pizza was a quick and convenient way to cook in an important city port like Naples, at a time when ovens were not accessible to most. That’s why so many local dishes are fried. 😊
Thanks for this. We are planning.a trip down to Naples in December (we live in the Sabine Hills north of Rome) and have been looking at a lot of different videos about Naples on TH-cam but we loved your video the best. Thanks for all the great tips (we are dieting before we go).
I'm amazed at the quality of your bilingualism. Where did you learn your English, US? Canada? Please let me know. Vi scongiuro. You're both charming. Even the bossy one. You guess who.
I made a visit to Napoli many years ago, and now I wish I had seen your video before the trip. Your videos are always so well done, and you always make me smile. Gracie per il bellissimo video. ❤️ Ron, from Alabama
Oh, god...that first bite brings me back to Sorrento Bakery in Lodi, NJ. All those boxes tied with string my aunt brought over all the time full of goodies including that one. I just wish I could speak more Italian. PS. Pork rinds in the 1st fritta..we used to get packages of them as a snack. 14:21

Came here from tiktok asking about things to do in Naples so i can prepare a bit before arriving in early august. I was wondering if you have any advice for eating vegetarian. My partner is vegetarian which includes things like parmigiano because of the rennet. And he's worried there won't be much for him to eat. Advice? Recommendations?
That’s true. It’s a simplified example that most people can grasp. 😉 We never get too detailed about things. That we keep for our Italian Online Food & Wine School, Casa Local Aromas.
Love you guys. Are you sure Bene is the oldest? You are so funny with a mischievous look in your eye at all times. I am enjoying your channel soooo much. I am an Italian American and am learning so much about my heritage. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
@@premadimauro2691 ❤️❤️ grazie!!!!that is such a beautiful thing to say and I am so happy you are enjoying our channel!!! And you would never tell I am the oldest right?!😎
NO DALLA PUNTA.

Moving from USA to Puglia this summer.... used to live in Naples back in my military days... can't wait to visit Napoli again :) Great energy you two!
You’re moving to Puglia?! Wow!!! Where to?
You have provided the perfect self-guided food tour for me to use when I visit Naples next week. Thank you.
Grazie!!! How did your trip to Naples go? 😀

So much energy in Naples! And don’t leave without having a sfogliatella at Attanasio by the train station! 🥹❤️
Loved this so much ❤

I am actually drooling all over it
😂 Then mission accomplished! 😜

Ciao! There are versions without meat or seafood that you can find. You’re going to love it! 😍 Pasta and pizza are the key foods there.
Sfogliatella is not puff pastry. Its is completely different technique.

M'ati fatte venì 'na fameeee.

Where is the cafe sospeso at?
They are everywhere in Napoli. The one in the video is at Gambrinus Caffè.
@@LocalAromas Gratzie
You are making me jealous!!
Then you’ve got to go!
I wonder what oil they use; it's non-sticky and non-greasy.
In Italy peanut oil is often used to fry. Extra virgin olive oil may have too much of a flavor. But it depends. 😊
If you go to Naples PLEASE don't miss that!!
Quant’è buona!! Beh, a dire il vero è tutto troppo buono 🤪❤️
When was this filmed? Me and my mom are coming March 2024
We went to Naples in March 2023. When you come to Italy, let us know! 😊

Do they make Babas the size of a Panatone?
We’ve seen them the size of a cake. These are the traditional ones but Naples obviously got creative with sizes and shapes! 😍
NO DALLA PUNTA.
Grazie del consiglio! 🙌🏼
It's nice to see Naples adopt a French pastry, the baba au rhum :-)
it's not French
Stanislaus Lesczynski, king of Poland from 1704 to 1735, invented it by chance in the early 18th century.
Complimenti, Bel servizio. 3B BRAVE BUONGUSTAIE E BELLE,AVETE PORTATO QUALCOSA A VOSTRO PADRE?

Great one girls. Between the food and you two, i was in la la land. Thanks for the kiss lol
Grazie!!! 💗
The girl with the straight is far too serious.
Ahahahha! Thank you! I’m not serious, I just have a concentrated face when I’m working. 😜

No gloves to cook 🤢Naples looks so dirty 😔
Naples is Naples. Unique in every way and you just need to do things the way locals do 😊
No one is forcing you to watch, eat the food or to visit. Naples is an amazing city !
Not the most healthy foods to eat
It is very healthy because It's Good food not Industrial Food with kylos of Sugar like the American food
That’s why you don’t eat them EVERY day . 😀
