I love this because ive just finished working on a 4 tool die for turbos with brand new core boxes to match (assuming these are for turbos too) small world!
I still love to watch CNC machining videos, but I am glad I got out of the business. Customers were demanding NET 30 or greater. Metal that is supposed to be stable warping several ops into the job. Quoted for 20 hours of work and took 35 hours (working for free now). The customer gave you the job because you ended up being the cheapest shop. The list goes on. One of these days Ill get a CNC again and just make stuff for fun and leave the mortgage payment out of it.
when programming, how you define all these high feed end mills? As a bullnose end mill? What stepover you usually use 50% 65% 80% of the cutter diameter ? What about plunging, you prefer to ramp down or just a simple plunge into the material? Thanks
Hi recently watched a lot for your videos, and they are satisfying. thinking of buying a used double column machine but it's my first VMC. Is machine from 2005 too old i your opinion. I don't have any experienced person to consult. Plz give me some advice.
Hi. Cool work. You don't use coolant for your milling heads because you are filming or you work this way? Would you say using milling heads for roughing is cheaper than say trochoidal with solid end mills? You can definitely reach longer wth your tools though. Vc and Fz would be nice to know too, but I'll take what you show too :). All the best! Subscribed
Good video, congratulation. One question, how much thickness do you normally leave from the heat treatment to the final finish? And how much thickness do you leave for finishing with a ball tool?
@@Thomaat116 Yes, as the vice is stretched out, it has less force. There is a high risk that the block will come up to the right or left. It's happened to me too.
@@CncFrezar ok so u use these cnc milled blocks to press in the sand and then produce a cast of it? pls enlighten me, i have no clue about those things, just think the cnc processing is awesome.

Hi guys. If some holders seem too long to you, you are right. It's that I'm very lazy and I don't want to set shorter holders.😀

Hello. We define as end mills, plunge into the material 5 degrees 30% of the total feed. ae 60%
I worked at a pattern shop for about 5 years. Runtime on some of those jobs we did would be 72 hours sometimes.
Amazing work guys....congratulations
I have a question....Why do you temper the pieces instead of nitriding them?
Thanks. I can't answer that, I'm just a worker.

Hi. That age is not that important. What is important is who worked on the machine and what it was used for. You need to do an accuracy test on it.
Maravilha! Após desbaste houve tratamento de normalização do material?
Sim
Well done guys! I’m watching your channel for a while and I love your content. Could You tell me which CAM software do You use?

Often, shells mill don't need coolant. Or just air blow.
Coolant force you to decreased Vc and Fz because the coolant create a thermal shock.
We use air for cooling. In the next video, I might try to write Vc and Fz as well
@@scheatt1308 Tried air cooling with two different shell mills. Shocked by how much longer the inserts last. Thanks

What kind of stretagies you have used in cam software in order to finish this part?
Amazing video! 👍
Thanks son😁
I'm looking for same job in Australia and canada. I have 7 years experience & I hope I shall get my job soon insa-allah. 😊

Did u find brother?
Why high feed rate and shallow depth of cut over slower feed but deeper depth of cut? Surely the insert tip edge is doing twice as much work?
HF cutters are built for high feeds and small depth of cut

Thanks! It depends on the size of the part. From 0,5mm to 5mm. We leave 0.05mm for finishing
can you indicate the parameters of drilling as well?
They were ordinary HSS drills. So nothing special.
