The new channel name is officially 'BewareCast', which will come into effect within the next couple of weeks. Also, I know this video isn't *quite* one hour long as the title suggests, but saying '1 hour' is better for SEO than saying 50 minutes. Thanks for watching and a Happy New Year to you all!
I remember stumbling upon a documentary about this world here on TH-cam made by the Discovery Channel 8-9 years ago and it has stayed in my mind ever since. One of my most favorite piece of entertainment I’ve consumed here on TH-cam. The documentary centered around two robots sent to the planet with each creatures/environments being explored and it ended dramatically with the Eosapiens being revealed with them destroying the robots. I still remember how excited and scared I was at that moment. Great childhood memories.
geez i was so young when i first watched it i thought was real definitely the first piece of speculative evolution/biology i ever came across and is what got me into it 10/10 the end was so sad
The documentary, "Alien World", was my introduction to the realm of Speculative Evolution along with The Future is Wild when I was a young child, it really shaped my interests and I've loved speculative evolution ever since
Its fascinating how Barlows world even shows a possible shared ancestor for many of the species; it’s so well done. I love how life finds a way. It’s more than entertainment it’s xeno biology at its best. The art work has a Salvador Dali quality- love it ….
This channel is quickly becoming one of the best when it comes to the increasingly-popular speculative evolution subgenre. Keep up the good work! This genre is absolutely fascinating. Not sure why, but watching this made me question whether there is a fantasy work of speculative evolution - how different species of life using different kinds of magic evolves as a consequence of their magic. Could go further than that and explore how popular fantasy species like dragons, dwarves, giants, elves etc could evolve over large spans of time as they become industrialized, or even how they evolved into what we know them as in the first place.
I am captivated to no end by this topic. Just imagining what could be out there on other planets right at this moment drives me a little crazy, knowing that I probably won’t ever get a chance to see and study it.
Happy new year bro… looking forward to this, your dulcet tones are just what i need at 5am after a crappy nights sleep…. All the Best to you & yours 🤩🙏🏻🤩
The idea of the ecosystem starting with “plankton” in the atmosphere rather than the sea makes me wonder if this is a world going through a second spurt of evolutionary development. Specifically I’m thinking of a Venusian type world that cooled back down and became habitable again, maybe after the red giant in the system receded back to a white dwarf? It would have to be pretty close in orbit for this to work but not TOO close. IRL there is speculation that if Venus has any surviving life it is to be found in the upper atmosphere in microscopic form. Does the book say anything about this and why/how the ecosystem would have started in the atmosphere?
I'm going to have to read this! I came across Wayne Barlowe's book God's Demon and the artwork from that book was mind blowing. Please describe God's Demon creatures 🙏🏾
If the Avatar world was the size of Pluto, it would have no atmosphere, it’s gravity would be poor. It’s Moon wouldn’t be spherical because of a lack of mass.

Haha yes, that documentary is called Alien Planet. I actually talked about it a couple of videos back where I compared the documentary to the book.
I suspect a majority of people got to this channel after Alien Planet sparked their interest in alien biology long ago

The art in this book, the painterly qualities, is just spectacular

Good idea!

I remember looking at this book. Couldn't remember the name. I finally found it ❤
There was an animation made from this book! I thinks it's called alien planet
Yep, I mentioned it a couple of videos back comparing it to the book.
@@BewareCastyou did? Sorry I've been out of the loop I actually didn't know there was a book before this video so thank you :)

Good thing I can see this world in Minecraft (Darwin IV mod)
Hey yer back
"babe wake up, new beware the qu vid just dropped"
It’s theorized the small flying creature that lives around the butcher tree is actually the male partner.
They used animated bits in a history channel show about future earth in 2008ish
I wonder if the science that are based on are outdated?
Most likely.
AM I THE ONLY ONE DEEPLY OFFENDED BY THE YMA EXISTING?
Do tripod aliens bother other people? They feel boring and unimaginable to me.
.
Fantastic Video as always!! :) 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 ❤️💖❤️💖
Thanks Troy!
