She is MY inspiration right now in 2019! I wish THE BEST for her, to continue getting famous, active, happy, and successful. Love you, Iris Scott!

She is so good at what she does because she is at ease inside. Lovely paintings!

I am 16, and I am so inspired I want to become an artist and not have a boring old desk job I want to go out and live my life to the full and learn from my mistakes.

Simplified simplicity is what is beautiful about her . The wisdom, charisma, lightness she exudes through her art is what she embodies. Admirable. 💞

Love this documentary. Iris Scott is by far my favorite painter. So much energy comes out of her painting. Truly beautiful and very inspiring.

I love how she said "what if it is about beauty"! People are so love angst, that happiness and beauty without struggle is not valid anymore and this is sad

Amazing documentary, keep it up! I've always been told since my childhood that struggle is very important to succeed, and that everyone has to struggle in their own lives, to which I've always been disagreeing. Few do struggle, I am not denying to that. I just think it is not necessary for every single person to struggle. Plus, I measure success on happiness scale.

Thank you Iris you are a wise young woman in how you feel about your art. Yes, I agree with you to enjoy what you are painting now and paint a lot and get it out the door and don't hoard!!!!!! I too enjoy painting, sold a few, and I am X cited to try a new way like finger painting and create my own style letting the moment inspire me. Thank you for lovely videos ...you are a beautiful soul, be blessed always.🌼🌹❤️

Great documentary! I would've loved to see her finished dog painting at the end but I may have seen it already! Also why'd she leave Taiwan when she had decided she could stay there and sell paintings? I think it's a breath of fresh air to find not even an artist, just someone who doesn't want to be defined by their struggles, who doesn't find it necessary to dwell on them. Some people who love to sing for example always seem to have a "story" when they audition, why isn't it enough that they just love to sing? And in this case she loves beauty. She did say she's had a pretty easy life though and while her art is beautiful, I think having some degree of difficulty and hardship adds depth to work - it'd be interesting to think of the kind of difference that shows up in someone's creative work.

and then sometimes there's this thing that happens... where your room mate goes crazy and slashes your throat... and in the process you become homeless and lose your art portfolio... everything from 6 years old until 26 years old... also literally losing everything you've ever owned... ever... except for yourself... And your tattoos... What do you do then? Cuz... that's what I'm still trying to recover from in my artwork... It happened six years and ten months ago, and I'm still... just... so unsure of what to do, or how to do any of it... I can still art... I still art practically every day... but... yeah...
