Nine years have past, but I've only seen this for the first time. This video was really good. Great work, keep going!

"oh you're adjusting your eyepatch? HADOUKEN!!"
>Damn Ryu, that's fucking dirty!
Didn't Ryuu damage Sagat's eye the same time he gave Sagat his scar?
@@qxujevozaeni1240 I don't think so, because in SF (1st game) Sagat already had an eye patch and its arcade flyer explained that when Sagat was young, he got blinded by a delinquent (in alpha game instead of a delinquent, it was Dan's father or whatever).
There is a possibility that the scar in Sagat's head was made at the same time (as a continuation/end of his chest scar). I say this because none of SF1 artwork has it and it only appears after SF1 (e.g. SF2 flyers shows that in artwork while telling Sagat scar was made by Ryu's Shoryuken). On the other hand, the anime SFIIMOVIE shows Sagat already having the scar on his head, so I really don't know.
This was a very good attempt guys! It's noticeable the heart put into it and the love you have for SF. I personaly liked the cool details like Sagat's realistic Muai Thai pants, the blind eye and gruesome scar. And for the record this is the first Ryu I've seen who truly looks the part of a young japanese karate master.
Still way better than the hollywood movies...keep at it!
Thanks for the feedback man!
It'f funny how these short-movies are better then the Hollywood films that have the money. Shows you money doesn't buy talent.
Nor does it buy actually caring about the source material.
That's true i don't know why those hollywood movie companies never get the true fans involved. They always want to make it themselves and it usually is nothing close to the actual series. It's sad.
Mortal Kombat may have been the closest i can think of. These short movies like this are made by the true real fans, no some hollywood companies that want to make money and don't care about the franchise.
That's why these short-films are better then the hollywood productions! if the hollywood productions and the short film fan people that make short films like that, the hollywood movies comapanies plus the short film fan people, we could have something grand.
The financial backing of the hollywood movie companies and the true input of the true fans that make videos like this and just the fans in general. All those forces combined we can have something damn good.
Just imagine what we could have like if people that do these short films had an actually good hollywood size budget. Omg the possibilities are endless.
And love your avatar man.
seanmyster6 The hollywoold film companies just want to make money, people that make these short films actually are fans and like and care about the series. And that makes a HUGE difference too. Huge difference. Yeah the hollywood companies don't care about the franchises really, they just want to make money. It's a damn shame!
Unfortunately, it's sad too, Hollywood producers have tens, sometimes hundreds, of millions at their disposal and still manage spit out some of most fucked up movies in history.
Anyone else get the impression that Sagat was just humoring Ryu at the beginning of the fight?
This 5 and a half minutes was WAY better than the complete SF movie (the one with Van Damme). now THAT'S a Shoryuken.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
Very well done. I like that you guys didn't try to make it too over the top and left it as a brawl, not bad special effects and unrealistic expectations. Great job, the only issue is Ryu swears a little much. While Ken would prob swear a lot, Ryu seems more disciplined and tame.
Thanks man! I'm glad you liked it!
"What strength! But don't forget there are many guys like you all over the world!" :V
This is so fun to watch. Both you and Shola did and excellent job! I really enjoyed how you captured the personalities of both fighters.
Damn, that was pretty good. The makeup on that Dragon Punch gash looked legit. Great editing, Shola ;)
something we should be happy about is that theres people out there who still love what we love and thats street fighter thanks so much for the effort and awesome quality and time of the video, its a pleasure to our eyes
taking off the fact that this sagat ate too many big macs, is a GOOD fight scene"
I'll show you what true strength is!
It is the courage to stand up in
the face of evil and emerge victorious.

Looks like sagat has been eating all the pies!

That was AWESOME!! That video proves that the Street Fighter franchise could be adapted into film. No, I'm not counting the first movie. It could be a trilogy. You've got the Udon back story and 4 games to draw inspiration from. The story would follow Ryu as he prepares to fight Sagat in the finale. Street Fighter 2 obviously would follow that story, with Ryu and Akuma facing off in the end, and the third story could easily incorporate 3 and 4 into a finale.
This.. is.. the BEST live action movie I’ve ever seen!!
I loved this clip, especially the mellow and contemplating atmosphere. Don't get bothered by those who miss the dark hadou stuff because of the sf canon. sf is about martial arts in the end, and every martial artist interpretates the ideal warrior in his own, personal way. I can feel there was a martial artist behind this project, which made it authentic. Good job and extra thumbs up for choosing concrete ground for a fight scene! PS: I also made a sf fan video but with a different focus, and also highly personal :-) Check if you like!
Thanks for the share! I'll check it out!
In regards to Ryu, his story is always seeking stronger opponents. The dark hadou has always been something he struggled with until he got much older.
who do u think would win in a fight this depiction of Sagat or Mad dog from the movie "the raid"?

great work!!

Why are people complaining about the Sagat actor being fat? He's not extremely beefy like Sagat, but his body shape is fine.
Haha! I've been playing tekken revolution , recently but street fighter is awesome and sagat isn't really that big lol so I dunno why peeps are complainin XD
People who think the Sagat actor being fat have hardly ever been with beefy guys in real life. Not the super-ripped competition bodybuilder types often seen on TV.
For all you people who are commenting about Sagat's weight, allow me to educate you on the reality of heavier guys (not morbidly obese, mind you, but those with not-so-lean physiques like the fellow in this video playing Sagat) in an actual fight.
Having worked with multiple martial artists, boxers, MMA fighters, etc, over the years, I've come to learn one thing that I wouldn't believe had I not experienced it time and time again, myself; the guys with more body fat are more likely to come out on top than the lean guys who watch every carb they eat and worry about their body fat percentage. Why? I wondered the same thing for a long time. It's quite simple, however. See, a person can have hard muscle underneath layers of body fat and be stronger than someone who has virtually no or very little body fat, because 1) it actually does serve as a form of natural padding, and 2) it adds to a person's strength. Therefore, it makes them stronger on top of their underlying musculature AND protects them from easier internal pain and damage in actual hand-to-hand combat. They can absorb more blows and generally take more punishment than a leanly-built fighter. Being leanly built is all fine and good if you're just doing it for show, like if you're a model or a movie star who is only portraying a tough guy, but the real threats in hand-to-hand combat are the bigger guys. If you're a leaner, faster, more aggressive fighter, believe me, you'll wear yourself out and succumb to their assault before they go down by your hand 7 times out of 10. That's not to say that all fat guys are naturally more resilient than you leaner guys out there... but the ones who like to fight.... yea... just don't judge a book by the cover that the world has placed in front of your faces.
Sagat in SFV is 7'4 and weighs 216. That would be SUPER lean.
@@goldenbrandon1716 Given that ryu looks leaner in this too, I don't see what's wrong with presenting a chubbier Sagat. Especially when you see the chub on his cheeks In his sf1 portrait ;p
The whole film seems to be presenting a more grounded take on Street Fighter
I still can't get enough of this short film🥰
who do u think would win in a fight this depiction of Sagat or Mad dog from the movie "the raid"?
thank you for taking the time to make this video!
Thanks for watching! Glad you like it!
This was better than the whole street fighter movie!
@@shahhedhussain Thanks so much!!!
This video is awesome. The only problem I had was that Ryu was supposed to lose, while Sagat was coming to help him out, the dark hado takes over temporarily, causing him to do the dragon punch and scarring Sagat. Other than that, this video is nicely done. KEEP IT UP GUYS!!!
+VileMK69 Z Glad you liked it!
This project was based on the original version of the story before the "Dark Hadou" retcon.
Good job guys, but still looking forward to SF Assassin's Fist coming soon! The bar will be raised.
This little sketch is better than the WHOLE SF movie shit with JCVD

is that..painted on his face?
This was actually really good.
If you've seen the movie "the raid". Who do u think would win in a fight between this depiction of sagat and Mad dog from the raid?
I remember many episodes of VR Troopers was filmed at this temple
Great Job guys, if you take into account some of the comments that nit pick at minor details, I think you guys can go for perfection, but overall great video
im loving the eye brows and how that guy sounds almost like sagat
Not canon, but still a great showcase. I appreciate the more practical approach. The inner monologue really sells this piece.
I see it as a depiction of the battle between Ryu and Sagat that unfolded in the original Street Fighter.
@@seanmyster6 Exactly, the satsui no hado shoryuken was a retcon.
Sagat looks impressive
ryu should of had a red band around his head great work guys
Thanks, but Ryu's headband is white in Street Fighter Alpha.
@@HarderMaster oh you goin by alpha fair enough .. love the video you should do mortal kombat
nice work guys..
btw sagat got his eye torn out by go hibiki..so i guess it's supposed to be hollow.
great work anyways!!
Good work. I enjoyed the film. Nice choreography, solid effects, and actor playing Ryu looks like...well Ryu.
Thanks! I really tried to do my best with the casting. I'm glad that you enjoyed it!
Sagat looks really good too people are giving this dude a bit of a hard time
Great video! I was referred to it through Khalid Birdsong, who does the webcomic Fried Chicken & Sushi - Khalid is a friend of Jason Yorrick's (Jason is also a character in the webcomic, too...)
Thanks for checking it out!
Actually, the Shoryuken is only invincible on start-up.
Then it IS invincible LOL
Harder Master On start-up.
J3l4n Yeah, but that doesn't sound as good. ;-)
LOL
I was literally just at the bell a few days ago then this showed up in my recommended wow. Lol too cool
For some reason, I find Sagat more human here, while in the games, I see him as a monster.
Since this was Alpha, Sagat should used his Super in the corner while he was landing that corner combo
this is more realistic than Steven De Souza 1994 movie
the right ideas are here. bravo
very good,very good
Thanks!
Damn that guy who played Sagat is fine as hell!
The real Sagat isn't white though. I believe he's supposed to be Thai.
That was really good but it's supposed to go that satay defeats ryu to the point where sagat feels no normal man would be insane enough to keep fighting him so sagat lets his guard down and goes to help ryu up when ryu on the floor gets consumed by the dark hado and scars him with an evil shoryuken. Then ryu comes to his senses doesn't understand what happened but sees he won and sagat vows revenge for unsportsmanlike behavior.
Sagat*** sorry autocorrect
Thanks for the feedback!
You saved me a whole lot of typing thanks you
Bas Hamid This is not the retconned version of the story. It's the original.
Probably when Sagat had Ryu down for a little while, Ryu should have had a dark aura effect during the shooting. Call me a nerd. XD
But I still enjoyed the shooting, though the shoryuken should have exaggerated more, like a Metsu shoryuken. But keep up the good work!
Glad you enjoyed it!
In the canon, Ryu was consumed briefly by Satsui No Hadou so it was not a normal Shoryuken but more like Akuma's Gou-Shoryu so it would have been stronger and hence why it left a scar. Sagat had pretty much won the fight, but Ryu could not except it and went "Evil" for a moment
deandejaguar Yes, I realize that, that's probably why I think the director should have added that during this shooting.
The omission of the "Satsui/Dark Hadou" techniques was not an oversight. I'm from the old school lore of Street Fighter and Alpha 1 where Ryu beat Sagat straight up. I've never really been a fan of the retconned Dark Hadou stuff that was added later. I left that out on purpose, but left enough room where it can be revealed later in a story arc if I so decide.
I'm glad you guys like the project tho! thanks again for watching and shharing your feedback!
Harder Master This thing won't let me give you a thumbs up, but I "like" the comments
I agree I don't like the retconned stuff because it detracts from what Ryu is supposed to be, a warrior who seeks meaning and purpose through the fight. Giving him a super-powered evil side might raise the tension, but it changes the very nature of the character. Personally, I think the added darkness makes Ryu a much more boring character because everybody and their mother has inner demons these days.
The only good retcons were the ones that undid the utter mess left in the series after Street Fighter Alpha 3. I'm *still* mad about that game's story.
Bravo! :D
Glad you enjoyed it!
YES. Like
I remember sagat being tall and slim in the video game but he looks a thousand times better than the original movie 🎥
I only have one problem. Ryu was supposed to lose. He sucker punched Sagat when they first fought and that is how he got the scar.
+Dr. Slump Yes. Ryu lost and Sagat went over to help him up. Ryu dragon punched him but it wasn't a sucker punch. The Satsui no Hado over took Ryu because he was upset he lost.
Not in ALPHA.
Ryu shou've had a lot more muscle because in the games he had fucking outrageous muscles besides that this was amazing to watch.
Thanks for watching! Glad u enjoyed it!
Thanks for watching! Glad u enjoyed it!
its based off pre sf2 when they werent on roids and highly exaggerated. ryu looks pretty good as he is
Go look at Streeth Fighter - Ryu is a skinny kid with slippers on. It's only SF4 that's has given all the characters muscles on muscles.
now do AKUMA vs ryu
Sagat, a gigant of 2,27 m... VS Ryu, a japanese boy of 1,78 m... Who won?
Great job!
as music called this end of everything?
can you help me?
thank you very much
Thanks for watching!

Don't try to zone throwing hadoukens out at point blank.
dope but ryu doesnt cuss like that.
Lol wrd
The white headband shows that this takes place earlier in Ryu's training, meaning he would be less calm and disciplined. He also says "Dammit" when he whiffs a grab in SFV.
Ok ill agree
DON'T PAY ANT ATTENTION TO ALL THE PEOPLE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH IT. CAUSE THE ONES THAT DO HAVE NOT DONE SHIT ON TH-cam OR LIFE I THOUGHT IT WAS GOOD KEEP U THE GOOD WORK :)
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
your welcome dude ;)
Street Fighter Alpha The Movie will be released in 2015 right? Am i right?!
I would LOVE to make that happen!
WTF is written on ryu's belt ? That's not FU RIN KA ZAN, its more like whater, earth, wind and fire. Fu Rin Ka Zan means Wind, Forest, Fire and Mountain.
I know what's supposed to be written on Ryu's belt. I changed it because as you can see in the film that I had him invoke Earth, Water, Wind and Fire to beat Sagat.
Your Japanese is good tho ;) Thanks for watching!
Very well done, folks. :)
Thanks!
"I've spent so long thinking only of defeating Ryu... Feeling like a loser. But now I realize that winning is of little consequence. What matters is communicating through one's fists. Maybe this is what I really desired all along... You... Your first were mute. They had no soul. I was once empty like you. Have I changed? Only one man can answer that question..."
I want more
Great work! I would like to know the background music you used.
Thanks! The music should be listed under the video.
Ryu's talk is so corny it hurts.
GREAT JOB!

great effort. bad movie.

***** They're meant for people with a sense of humor.
Sagat got his scar at the end of SF1, not Alpha. He already had the scar in Alpha, and wanted a rematch against Ryu.
If this were a SF1 movie, Ryu would be wearing those little red slippers, though :-P
Sagat's shorts would be purple, not blue and yellow.
Oh my God sagat 😍😍😍😍😍😍 i thing i am in love 🥰🥰🥰🥰☺️🥰🥰
who do u think would win in a fight this depiction of Sagat or Mad dog from the movie "the raid"?
i rewacth this clip. Sagat and Ryu do very good performance. i am not have good english. but i feel actor to have courage and spirit on clip. it is good clip for me. and Sagat and Ryu look like trained aticle fight.
but Ryu"s belt is written "water earth wind fire" on china language(or Korea and JP) real belt write Wind Tree Fire Mountain. it means (故其疾如風, 其徐如林, 侵掠如火, 不動如山) When moving the military to like tornado and when you do things better and be calm as a forest, and violently take away when you hit the enemy fire as the address, when you defend against enemy attacks should not move like a mountain to heavily(on google translatation)
So, Ryu belt word is wrong
風林火山 is correct. not 水地風火.
jaemin Yi
I changed what was written on his belt. I know that in the game that it's Fu Rin Ka Zan.
i say, this clip ryu belt word is incorrect.
The Dragon Punch is invincible? That seems like an unfair advantage... :P
Wow Sagat has been pretty strong on the thai food lately...hahaha just jk keep up the great work ;)
Well done!
This is the first fat Sagat i've ever seen!!
that yolo run up and shoryuken tho
Dios. Si no estuviera el aviso al inicio de que no es una película real no lo hubiera notado. Sagat está un poco pasado de tortas y a Ryu le hacen falta unas cuantas.
Not Bad!
