C0 can also be played, but will have squad build restriction, and with C0 you won't be able to get double hydro resonance if you want keep Neuvi's talent full stack. C4 will increase his CDmg, while C6 will make the charged attack duration super long, if you use skill + burst will last for almost 15sec. My raiden and nahida are just there to make his talent always max stacks, so just for reactions with hydro, while yelan is for double hydro resonance. This squad is also super good for open world, exploration and daily farming. With yelan runnig around. Also didn't got really good artifacts for him, a lot of sub stats went to trash stats such defence and attacks... WIll keep farm for better artifacts His playstyle is based on his charged attack, while ESkill and EBurst are mainly used to create the hydro sphere that he can absorb making 0 charge time for the charged attack!
instead of yelan childe would had been a better pick since his passive talent increases normal attack to an additional level so neuvillette’s charge attack would had dealt more damage
I like how he instantly regains health every time he starts blasting away. And I love how his burst both deals damage and lets him use his cannon multiple times due to more droplets!

If you have any decent build with a good team you can easily deal 20k+ per tick. Lost prayer is nice but barely better than prototype amber, so if you do get more crit rate and risk overcritting (which is easily done with MH) you could grab P.amber instead, especially with bad energy recharge sub stats rolls.

As for weapons, I just leveled my lost prayers so I'll likely stick with it. I do plan to get at least 30% ER off subset and rest going into critdmg/hp%. I guess it's largely up to the artifacts I get when farming, though that'll be a while since I'm aiming to max his level first.

The only thing I’m able to afford is getting this dude to c6 one or two copies every rerun sadly. The weapon banner seems too annoying to get his weapon everytime.
