- da lässt sich leben. Manch größere Stadt kann vor Neid erblassen, wie reich Schwäbisch Gmünd mit Sehenswürdigkeiten gesegnet ist. Allein das Heilig-Kreuz Münster ( mir kamen die Tränen bei der Innenbesichtigung ) lohnt eine Reise in dieses schwäbische Kleinod im Ostalbkreis. Liebevolle Gassen, wunderbare Türme und Stadttore, erhabene Kirchengebäude und phantastische Fachwerkhäuser ( mir blieb teilweise der Atem stocken ) laden zu einem ausgedehnten Stadtrundgang durch Schwäbisch Gmünd ein. Auch sollte die Rems mit den Nebenflüssen erkundet werden. Die Stadt Schwäbisch Gmünd gehört zu den schönsten Gesamtkunstwerken die wir in Baden Württemberg haben.

Ich war das letzte Mal zur Landesgartenschau dort. War sehr besonders gewesen. Die Altstadt habe ich erst jetzt entdeckt und war total von den Socken.

I was stationed at Hardt Kaserne from 1987-90 and since the American Kasernen have closed and the rerouting of the B-29, Gmünd is just not the same anymore. I was just there again a couple weeks ago (we stayed at the Hotel Einhorn). But it seems to be improving now, with the effects of the Landesgartenschau. There is a nice new cinema, a great new toy store where Schnabel used to be, and still some really good restaurants (Poseidon is very good), and Gmünd still has the best gyros I've had anywhere at Imbiss Anestis. And as you can see from the video, it also has a very underrated church. If you go, do yourself a favor and take the #1 bus to Heubach and hike up to the Rosenstein ruins. Absolutely fabulous view up there!

It's been 42 years since I was there... Stayed on Bismark Kaserne 81-82 Worked in Mutlangen at the airfield...

Thank you for your kind praise. I've used MAGIX Video Pro for several years and now I'm taking my first steps with Davinci Resolve Studio. It's really very exciting when you start from scratch at times. I will record my next videos in 10 bit and take full advantage of the possibilities.

Sehe ich auch so, seit Corona gibts Probleme...
Sicherlich sind wesentlich weniger Menschen unterwegs. Ich bin jedoch zumeist außerhalb von belebten Zeiten auf Achse und achte darauf so wenig wie möglich Menschen im Bild zu haben.
