This is the first time I have seen this show -hilarious. ( I’m a BRIT living in Johannesburg). You can’t beat British humour. I have subscribed, can’t wait to see more.

This was a great show. The repartee between Merton & Osman, and the roasting they gave David Tennant was utterly brilliant - and hilarious. The only right thing for HIGNFY now is to have Michael Sheen on as a host. Please!
I like David Tennant. He knows how to be a good sport, which is becoming sort of rare anymore. When Richard and Paul started taking the piss out of him, David played along like the good dude he is. He's my second favorite Doctor, but only because Tom Baker was the Doctor when I first started watching the show back in the day. I hope you have a great day.
Just wait till Tye Tennant inevitably becomes The Doctor - I mean, His father was The Doctor, his mother was a female clone of The Doctor, and his grandfather was The Doctor.

David Tennant is my all-time favorite actor. There's nothing he can't do. Dr. Who, the best Hamlet ever, and his role in United - all such different roles, and he mastered them. I love seeing him hosting, or participating as a panelist too because he's so witty. What a guy...

If we didn't have a sense of humour, we'd be rampaging through someone else's streets with broken bottles, chainsaws, cricket bats, golf clubs, vintage fowling pieces, army surplus bazookas loaded with roman candles, and foreheads thicker than the bricks they toughened 'em up with, committing atrocities so unspeakable only Scots could talk about them onaccounta no one else being able to understand what was being said ...
Another great episode and the best part was roasting David Tennant. That ranked right up there with the time MTW shredded Andy Murray when he was in the audience after winning Wimbledon.
It's been quite a while since I've seen an episode as good as this. It's not just the host and guests, although that is a large part of it. Giving Ian a comedian rather than a journalist helps. I also think the variety of subjects improves the show too. Sunak's not as much a gold mine of material as Johnson/Truss so they have to broaden their material a little to marathon runners, tv gaffs and local government nonsense. Toughsheet Community Stadium though - the material writes itself.
super? You mean extremely or very, may be even superbly - but do me a favour and drop the American 'super ' everything (which stops anything being if all is) its as bad here as the import of ' like' to be every thought, or punctuation.
David Tennant is immensely liked by panelists, rightfully, and everyone was genuinely bright and cjeerful for a good time! David handled roasting like the talented, confident and humor- lover that he is. Good home with a grand Tennant!
The "congratulations on surviving the winter" joke, comes straight from Sean Lock, who did it in regards to Countdown viewers. Someone on the writing staff watched Cats does Countdown.
You should try watching "Have I Got News for You," and its extended version, "Have I Got a Bit More News for You." They're both better shows than "Did I Tell You News."
With Lucy Beaumont there I feel like I’m getting the best jokes from goggle box and next to the finest political wit from private eye. Fantastic balance! Great panel.
How is the google profiting from one-liner sock puppets making comments? Plus more offensive ads! Maybe depoliticizing America's legal system would help? So: "A nonpartisan Justice may compel two recusals by junior partisan Justices." How about that idea?

I can't believe it. I did something I rarely ever do -- opened up a big bag of Ruffles -- halfway through the show, before the Hull crisp buffet story. Never saw it coming.
Suddenly that final score makes sense. And the while I don't fully know what the deal is between David Tennant and Michael Sheen, it makes much more sense seeing the bit played out in its entirety.

There are a few typical Canadian crisp flavours I’d have added, e.g. ketchup. 21:26 Rees-Mogg’s background map is as ignorantly bonkers as he is. His “nation,” singular (!), includes all of Ireland (!!) but ignores the existence of continental Europe. 📼cassettes: blast from this Gen Xer’s past! Twirling a pencil so my Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Eurythmics, Dead or Alive or Thompson Twins tapes would play properly! Why would such a bad medium come back?
They've always had a short version followed by a longer one, though. I always figured the BBC did that to convince audiences to willingly watch what is basically a repeat.

Right there with you, I'm Czech, I have a degree in English and have no problem understanding Scottish English, New Zealand English and other accents, including Yorkshire accents. But I somehow couldn't understand Lucy Beaumont here.

David Tennant and Michael Sheen are friends in real life. They made an absolute stunner of a series during covid: "Staged". It might explain a bit.
