New fear unlocked - Turret stackpoles
If they are going to nerf artillery soo badly, they should nerf air strikes as well. Last season's artillery would have been soo useful during that second mission.

A all Energy Fafnir can be a viable ER PPCc headshoot mech, better if it was a Fafnir II, due to better quirks and affinity. Probably best build with some PDHS for the percentage weapon heat reduction.
The Rifleman is turning into a bit of a monster really, it really smacks them around. Pretty nice salvage for now, course WOB as an enemy is quite the opponent so its a risky business
Yeah the rifleman is really good now it seems. Just had a realisation, with the current path of trying to establish a C3, all the +x to long or extrem range accuracy boosts from gear and affinity will be wasted. Assuming there is a C3 equipped scout those boosts do not apply because the mechs and especially the rifleman will be considered in optimal range.
No I don't think so, because I cant add C3s to vehicles, only to mechs. So when our bandits will be out there, its still long / extreme. Basically I'm trying to setup an always accurate and any range scenario
@@paganhorde4463 I partially agree and disagree. Yes not ALL vehicles can have C3, but there are variants with it. I use a Shiltron as my C3M Vehicle currently. Additionally I would say that using eg Preadetor or other changeable gear would be a waste if C3 is used to its full effect. Having no scout that gets in close for C3 to be in close range would mean the tonnage of the c3 is wasted.
I found a stealthy and high evasion LAM, solly equipped with tags and narcs especially WM ones quite effective as a forward scout, with c3.
5:07 "на связи" (Na Svyazi) "On Connection". It means essentially "Online" and "In Connection" simultaneously. He's basically saying that he's receiving your transmission. Cheers man recently found your channel and appreciate the guide for RT install that you did a few months back. Battle Tech and MW are calling me back again so - gonna need to check this mod out!

Pirate FCS is +1 acc and +1 Evasion ignore. Saying that because people avoid them because of the penalty recoil and heat but those things are easily mitigated.

Is the snub + tlcap any good? Would it work on a shorter ranged timby? I think one of the conquistadors uses it.
I remember years ago in RT baradul making a headshot marauder 2 with nothing but IS large lasers and slamming dicerolls against enemy cockpits. Would that still work with the energy Fafnir? You could probably do it with I. Heavy M but there's the range issue.

That's a lot of questions, Boomstick, your a re right. SRMs are too short range, Catapult has FTL and deadfire. Never been ablet to make tlcap weapons work, too much heat. Just run an ultra 10 instead

Shedu's fantastic, but that variant's only got 6 hard points. Keep on searching, you can get one with 18 HP + 12 empty slots for ammo / DWP

@@paganhorde4463 for what it's worth, a laser insulator drops a large i.h. laser to the same heat as an er ppc (c). If you have the slots, you could theoretically put the ton you save into an extra heat sink... but it's still probably an inferior choice unless you're doing close ranged cockpit popping (or you desperately need 5 more damage)
In one of the recent episodes it was stated that an Assualt Class Melee Specialist is stupid. I would like to point out that a well equipped Atlas for Punching or an Atlas or better Chassie as a Charging Melee Mech can work very well. Supercharger and Hotseat Cockpit combined with a 400+ engine and lower melee punch or Upper Spiked can very effective. Especially the punching Atlas can be a valid alternativ to a deadicated Headshoot mech by punching with as many 75dmg+ punches as possible haveing a 1 in 6 chance per punch to hit the Cockpit.
Yea it can work, its just when facing 18 enemies, charging ahead to melee can be a death sentence. In the late game, I prefer to play the long range and positioning game to minimize return fire
@@paganhorde4463 That is a true argument, I was more pointing out that you referred to a Assault Melee mech as too slow. Which it is definitely not. I also would say given the right setup a punch bot is very effective and good to have, not only but also for duels. Especially when playing around with speed and stealth and positioning or alternatively damage reduction and HarJel, a Melee assualt can be very effective and also provide scouting via c3. But this is all personal preference. I might have found it to work better due to having all vehicle slots except one used for heavy vtols like seths, which provide target diversity and evasion tanking.

Extreme range BC will not be that useful when you set you C3I network running as your mechs will normally be on med-short range.
A unit with C3 needs to be in mid range for that to work, im not counting on that to be the case all the time
@@paganhorde4463 indeed, but I’m having success with UAVs that can participate in C3 networks. I usually call one (or two in super heavy missions) so it can reach enemies and with the benefit of airstrikes sometimes targeting UAVs instead of my lance
