Just got my first package and I must say the head is heavy itself which I like. The main reason I got this was due to the weight alot of reviewers are saying which obviously means it's gonna be a very sturdy model. Can't wait to finish it now, thanks Wayne!
As a Transformers collector, you would be surprised lol. Half the time when Hasbro, or third party companies even (Which usually do better than Hasbro) do combiners (A figure made up of several Transformers combined, like Devastator in Revenge Of The Fallen) they can be very heavy but can't hold a pose cause the joints aren't tight enough, or they're so tight that they snap when you try to move them.
You mention this is the movie version of Optimus but he's actually had a fair few designs. He had his "protoform" and regular design in the first film, he got a new design in the third, and two new designs in the fourth. (The Bumblebee movie and Rise Of The Beasts aren't part of the Bay universe) This is specifically the design used for the 2007 film (The first one) and Revenge Of The Fallen (The second one), although with how similar the design is to his Dark Of The Moon (The third one) design it's possible there could be some alternate parts to assemble it as his DOTM design in a future pack.
Thanks for the oil tip just started the right foot today on prime but I noticed that on issue 6 comes in the 3rd package is your the standard or the premium
This is going to be an amazing model. Much better than the toylike Agora alternative. As you say Wayne, lots of metal, should make for a sturdy OP! Would you recommend fixing the small push fit pieces with CA glue?
One thing I have to note is that the finished model is NOT 100% accurate as they say. They were given the wrong model by Hasbro. The model this is based on was used for control art and the 2007 game. You can tell because the abs are way smaller than they were in the movie.
I got the build come yesterday and I built the first 2 stages and I noticed loads of things wrong especially the wrong colour red.. it’s a lot brighter than on the model.. also they could have done the face sheld a lighter grey
Hey Wayne I was wondering would the Optimus Prime stand on its own after being built? Cause I live in the United States and I forgot to get the stand and I asked fanhome if I could pay more for my issues so I could get the stand and they said no to that, what can I do to get the stand without starting over?
Hi there angela here, brought hubby transformers optimus prime, question in pack 2 are you supposed to have screws left over in BP small bag 4 screws have not been used in each pack is this right or wrong? Bye for now angela moore
@WorldofWayneUK when you built the head I know there is mechanism that makes the eyes light up, but does anything else move? Do you think I might have a fault anywhere
Hay mate love you videos.. Always watch them before I start my builds.. Just a quick question only had 2 delivery's of optimus prime... First one had issues 1 and 2.... And the second had yesterday was issue 3 to 5...on the video for your 3rd delivery you had 7 to 11..am I missing issue 6..??? .. 👍

Lmao! Along with forklift not included, it might want to say crane not included to help lift the body into place so you can connect the legs.

You can do but they do really go in tight

Yep sometimes you get 1-4 screws left over as spares. Keep them safe. You never know when you lose on to the carpet abyss
