You do realise that certain memories such as losing a loved one stick around for a very long time, and as said by toriel, asgore has an amazing memory.
So its not very surprising he would remember that day.

Asgore: Ah, yes. It was Monday, fourteen seconds after 6:23 PM, I was 30 years, 106 days, 2 hours, 52 minutes, and 14 seconds old when I first met her. I stared at her for exactly 18 seconds

The voice acting is amazing, like, everyone in general, but Toriel really caught my attention, I mean, the way she react to the revelation and her whole conversation with Asgore, she really sells it. Also, Asgore is best dad, like, the way he tries to reassure Asriel even though he seems to know kinda where he is going, it's really sweet, their father-son relationship is really nice

Frisk says those things like they are SO COMMON
After feeling the pain of death so many times, and no doubt going through that one section of their life who knows how many times. Frisk, mentally, is probably at LEAST a thousand years old by now, if not more.
And a good majority of that is spent dying, in pain, or some other unpleasant state.
There's a lot of good sure, but a lot of bad too. Thus...
It makes sense they're so stunted and sarcastic most of the time. It's pretty much how they learned to cope.
And the worst part is... Unlike Asriel they'll probably never even begin to heal from THAT kind of agony.

The main thing I love about this au is that its not above letting Toriel go Scott free just cause she was on the humans side. The things that get adress with her is something I wanted to see since I watch gameplay of the actual game. But rarely gets mention. Almost everyone to blame for one thing or another. And Yeah Chara was being a horrible child but was still lovable when it came to their family.

I love how this AU makes everyone (ironically) feel human, they have strengths and faults, different moods, it’s nice to see such good character writing
Growthspurt is hands-down the best Undertale AU involving the Dreemurr family! What makes this AU really spectacular is that it is related to the story of Undertale, where you can relive the lives of monsters along with Asriel and Chara. I also love how the Dreemurrs forgive each other, redeem themselves from their wrongdoings, put the past behind them, and move forward into a better future.

The whole scene with Asriel yelling at Toriel about him being Flowey was my favorite part. Him just yelling about his past just threw me in for a wild loop. Then the speech Asgore gave was just moving. Sure he was not all there but that anger just feels almost like Artanis from StarCraft 2’s campaign. And I loved that

imagine you as a kid, accidentally stumble down a hole and now you're caught up in a situation where you're destined to die. like once you're there thousands to millions of people want you dead and there's no chance of escaping.. all because of a small accident.

The voice acting is so well done!!
I love the emotion in their voices!! I can literally feel the hurt and desperation in Toriels voice during that conversation with Asgore, her sass is glorious and I like how her sentences stop dead at the periods when she's angry (well maybe not that intense, but her tone is curt and sharp nonetheless).
Asgore has this lovely calm and serene tone in his words that clearly show, even when he is upset, his kind and fluffy-bun like nature, it drives home that he never truly felt all that hatred back then but had to got through with what he had promised his people. He feels genuine remorse and it seems that he wants to make amends with Toriel, based on how he speaks with her.
Asriel is by far the best, I love the sassy tone he has when he's being sarcastic and the annoyance is ever so present when he's... well, annoyed. I hear the anger and pain when he yells at Toriel and when he's venting to his therapist. I loved that scream when he realised he accidently walked himself into a pun lol. Every word he spoke I could feel the emotions in his voice and I loved it.
Frisks speech boxes have been well balanced with the emotional feel/angst of the story because you voiced them normally instead of using a robotic type voice-over or a text to speech bot like I've some others do, it feels natural and not shoved in as you have also changed your tone of voice to better fit the situation and feel of the scene yet still keeping that deadpanned feel that you would get when reading of a text box, as they don't carry emotion. it fully captures how much sass and bluntness frisk carries even during an emotional moment. They'll just say what they need to say and be done with it. It lightened the mood.
Chara was well done as well, she just radiated hatred when she spoke of humans and you could sense her bad intentions even in the smallest of situations. It was evil and I love it.
The side characters were great and beautifully voiced. The dog therapist was top notch and the way you did the reporters weird laugh was great.
Even when there weren't word bubbles you and the others did amazing. The silent sobbing breaths when Toriel sat down after Asriel told her everything was great, her howls of sorrow were amazing, and the laughter was just so good and felt natural. I loved all the random effort sounds, like when Asgore hugged everyone in the end, and the underlying sobs when Toriel ranted about her faults to Asgore was heart-wrenchingly beautiful.
This whole comment was legit just me repeating the same words of praise at the end of every sentence, but I can't help it. I love when voice actors aren't afraid to show full unadulterated emotion in their work, it's so satisfying to listen to a conversation spoken in tones and emotion that would be very present in a real life scenario. I loved this so very much (even though I'm extremely late, having only just finding this) and I encourage you to keep up the good work.

@@cellochicita No problem! I figured giving my full thoughts rather than just giving a simple "this is great" comment would mean a lot more. If you do great work you deserve proper recognition, so why not give it to you. There were several things your dub has that some others have lacked. Everything was just perfect!
And might I say that balancing Frisks text boxes with actual dialogue when dubbing is really hard to do well and you nailed it, again text boxes don't give off emotion when you read them, so you have find that good middle ground for it to work when reading it out loud. I don't dub myself as I tend to fumble my words but I have watched enough comic dubs to know. I have only ever seen one channel that has managed to pull that off perfectly, and that was Sans Comic TV, I'm happy to tell you that you're now on that list.
I really do love this dub and I really do encourage you keep up the good work. You deserve all the praise you get this was amazing.

I love this toriel in this AU because this is a very realistic portrayal of the events that occurred in the game and touches on so many subjects on what Toriel would be suffering through and I never seen it in THIS perspective before.

What I love about this AU is how much it feels like extension of Undertale’s world; and in a realistic sense at that. Asriel’s trauma, his parent’s guilt; it’s all just so well done

Justin Williams AFAIK Chara is always there in Frisk's mind. But they only turn into the creepy demon if you do genocide. If you do neutral or pacifist without ever completing a genocide run, Chara will be just the narrator in Frisk's mind. At least that's what I read.

This popped up on my recommended and I’m so happy I revisited it. This hit WAY harder than I thought it would, especially with the therapy, the dad talk, and just all of it
Asriel: "I murderer millions"
Both The Player and Frisk: "haha emotions go goneeeeeeeee" "also, milions is just a playground compared to my killcount"
I mean if we were to get very meta and technical, in these snipits into the Undertale peoples’ lives,
The Player/frisk has theoretically killed infinitely many monsters and done infinitely many Genocide routes because of the theoretical millions of people who have played the game at least once and adding the fact that no one (in the universe of Undertale) knows exactly how many resets and genocides have happened.
All they know is that there’s a lot.
It would take a lot of work to find an approximate number of timelines, or even a range!
First we’d have to get the number of people who have downloaded and/or played undertale, multiply that by three to get a very rough estimate.
Let’s say two million people have played undertale, that means that there have been approximately six million timelines, but each person could have done more or less than 3 resets/playthroughs (I myself haven’t completed one)
So the number of timelines infinitely goes up as more people download/play Undertale and complete routes and reset.
So theoretically, no one could ever match The Player/Frisk’s kill count because their kill count is infinite

I personally think this AU is perfect and it greatly captures how that, even thou there was a ‘good’ ending azriel and other characters problems from the game still remain and they didn’t just disappear, it also captures the distant family dynamic that influenced the dreamers. And the massive trauma that would affect azriel form his time as flowey and marks a much needed character arc not just for azriel but all of the dreamers. It shows how the deaths of azriel and chara affected tori and asgore and how they coped with that loss. In short, this AU is emotional and realistic, it perfectly weaves the balance of much needed filler and a side story about what would happen after the monster’s were out and adjusted to life aboveground.
P.S It really stuck with me how asgore and Toriel reacted with the children dying. hearing Tori’s muffled yells of pure anguish while asgore stonewalled with no discernible reaction. Overall the whole conversation between Tori and Asgore was amazingly realistic it was *chef’s kiss* perfectly realistic.

Is it kind of scary frisk is able to remember being mutilated, then murdered tens of thousands of times by Flowey/Asriel alone and not giving 2 shets (honestly tho who was playing this frisk if they died tens of thousands of times to flowey alone), and the fact that flowey bullets are, well, bullets. That gives a major bit of lore when you think about it, getting shot, then shooting people, thats the biggest no you I've ever seen.

everyone likes to praise the Toriel scene for good voice acting, but ya really sold me on Chara in the beginning. it wasn’t oversold, but very realistic, and i can’t exactly place why. it just felt like you weren’t acting, you just were the character

I just want to say “thank you” as someone who has survived a near fatal accident and gotten over damage that is surprising all the Doctors who see what I’ve overcome, seeing Asriel getting help for what he’s survived is a good indicator of what I should take from the experience and not focus on what I perceived as some failure of my own.

Flowey was a sadist. By the time he got to Mettaton most of his human eradication measures were most likely put back online. Undyne the Undying would of been a massive roadblock he would just start avoiding. And we know what’s sans is capable of

This AU makes me super happy. Asriel is alive, Toriel and Asgore getting back together and clearing things up, acknowledge the fact that their parts caused problems, all the characters are really well fleshed out. Such a beautiful story.

Man, it's kind of sad that most of the fandom doesn't realize how Asgore is the only canon character that's depressed because they're all focusing on Sans. I know he has some mysterious past, but it doesn't look like he would be willing to share it anytime soon.
This also has to be one of my favorite AU's out of all of them. along with Glitchtale and Megatale. No need to focus on Sans for being depressed. Only on character's that would be depressed like Asriel, Toriel, and Asgore. I love how the creator did some research on mental illness and used the annoying dog as Asriel's therapist and I love the ending this one has. The voice actors did an amazing job as well. Hope to see more.

As a Psychology student, I love the methods the creator use during the theraphy and how well written its delivered in the characters.
Honestly this is the thing I hate the most about the undertale fandom (that isn’t r34 or toxic people) and how they ignore the potential that all the other characters have for this one funny guy. I mean I don’t hate the character itself, but the amount of people who won’t shut up about them kinda makes me want to.

I love stories that focus in the mental and psychological repercussions of a character. This is what they did in Steven universe future, where Steven had to put everyone else together but it broke him apart, causing him to serious mental breakdowns that affected everyone

This was the moment that made me crack up. Sure, it's a very serious moment, but Frisk being nonchalant about the whole resetting thing just makes it hilarious.
Many people forget that Frisk isn't a completely innocent person either if you've done the genocide route.
So really, I think the fandom should be giving him more recognition than Sans.

This really reflected onto the teenage years of a child. No one is perfect something has to go wrong.
I really love the therapist. They have good and sincere advice, not only that, they care about Asriel, not just as a patient but as a person.
