Got the pz 57 and 58 plus the knipex twin grip great pliers getting the pipe wrench style and locking pliers next
The PZ-57 model for sure worked well for me for a 2.5mm tiny screw that was holding in an M.2 based Wi-Fi card (the same screw size that M.2 NVME hard drives use) in my motherboard that was totally bald on the head (they over torqued it from the factory apparently, and the metal was fairly soft). The surface area that I had to work in was not much larger than a normal Philips screwdriver could fit into so trying to drill it out would not have been fun, and on the other side of the motherboard in the exact place I'd have been drilling was the only M.2 NVME hard drive connector port (so that ruled out me drilling). I ordered this and it worked the first try to grip the 2.5mm head size completely stripped head screw, after I tried various other tricks like rubberband, tinfoil, and latex gloves methods of screwing it out with various Philip head screwdrivers (that did not work at all). So yea it is very good at smaller screws, but it is nice to see it could work for normal head size screws too (the PZ-57 box only says it works with from 2 to 3.5mm). It seems from this video that is very underrated or understated and it seems like it could support up to about 9.5mm (which is what the PZ-58 model is rated up to actually, from 3 to 9.5mm as that box states). Either way you can't go wrong with this brand, made in Japan and nice packaging that states all of the specs in both English and Japanese.

They've dropped substantially in the years since you made this video I just picked up a comfort grip for $29. And my regular gripped double grip knipex. Cost me $32. They are some incredible pliers for sure. Also the newer ones has very little slap going back and forth. I would say probably half as much or less than what you had from your parents when they first came out

I don’t remember if it’s this video, but I explained somewhere that I actually talked to someone from Engineer at the Sema show at the Vampire booth. For the most part, It’s pretty simple, basically Vampire is a distributor hub for Engineer in the US market.
I have Vampires 8.8 Pro and Knipex dual grip pliers they both have yet to let me down. Never need anything outside the first one I tried. Overall Knipex is better more options and ranges

Do on a test on the durability of these pliers. See if the teeth hold up or not. I held up on getting a set because it seems people are saying the teeth are flattening out after just a few uses. I guess the package says do not use with hardened screws. Fine. But would still like to know if they hold up to no hardened screws.
Wish I had the time to make videos like I used to. I’m using the Brute the most which is holding up the best.

Good comparison. The Knipex Twingrip coating isn't just paint. - Atramentizing is another term for phosphating and part of the rust protection concept.
Atramentizing alone, however, usually does not provide sufficient corrosion protection to keep the pliers rust-free for a long time. It is perfectly normal for this layer to wear away permanently in the area of the cutting edge. The phosphate layer is an excellent primer for a lacquer layer applied over it.
For well used tools, I haven't food a problem with rust, I use my tools daily in the Bay Area. An occasional wipe with WD40 or similar will keep rust at bay. I prefer atramentized vs chrome for pliers with teeth, as chromed teeth tend to flake from use. Atramentization doesn't really add thickness, so there's no flaking. I do like chrome for the Knipex pliers-wrench however.
I never had an issue with rust here other than snap on sockets.. 😂

I have tried the Vamplier warranty. Yeah, not so much. They wouldn't warranty my three year old pliers as I no longer had the receipt. Save your money and buy the same pliers without a warranty from Engineer.
What would you rate as best all around use?

that was a lot of pliers to go over, if you’re looking for a face off with no long-term real work situation, poor selection being faced off, and unrealistic torture testing there’s other channels to go to..
I‘ve got the smaller locking ones and I used it for quite some time without issues on the handles. But one could do w/o all that rubber, rather for pussies, i‘d prefer them naked steel, would save space.
Your content is ok, but if you took a little more effort to think before you made the video we all could save half of the time it takes to watch it.
