I really loved the history and the details of the mau mau. I wish you can have a documentary that details our history as told by us and not foreingers

      I don’t think I understand that stance …
You mean, a documentaries from Sweden cannot tell the story e.g. the Palestinians?
A Namibian cannot tell the story of e.g. Germans?
A Taita cannot tell the story of the Mijikendas?
Because if that is what you mean, a journalist can’t really report on anything outside his or her community or country.

Oh my goodness I am getting so much from this ...for instance...I've always known there is an oath (from friends) but I have never known its origin and what it says....today I have. I have also seen the effects of this oath through out Kenya

Thank you Ms. Karua for teaching us our history.
I love how you say "Kamba Nation" instead of tribe.

Deal with the current problems. Forget the history of this country. No wonder we never go forward..

Without a deep understanding of history, one is doomed to repeat past mistakes. It is imperative to always remember and learn from our historical experiences.

This is a typical 'modernized' African way of reasoning, most of you don't know where you are going because you forgot where you came from. Am glad I finally found the Oath story.

History tells us why we are where we are today. Tribal politics etc. it gives us lessons for the future. It's not African, it's life

History must be learnt so we dont continue on a bad trajectory that we had boarded from time in memorial. The oath is one problem kenya made

Get this. You can never solve our fundamental problems without understanding history. Even in engineering we have root cause analysis (RCA), which is a systematic way of solving issues, rather than treating superficial symptoms.
If Ruto knew the history of how people settled in Kiambaa, Eldoret, he would have solved his problem of "aliens" living in his home region differently. He would not have said the things he said publicly, on KTN, in 2005.
