I love suchip, however I do wish you kept the cute eyes he had before since I feel personality wise it fits better than the new eyes it has. But regardless I love what you did with him, way more of a readable and clear design.
Definitely do mega’s for the Starter Pokémon. You can’t have a region with Mega Pokémon without doing the Mazah Region Starters. Plus. Please do more Regional Variants.

completely agree! I miss the dopeyness in suchip. He talked about wanting more of a 50/50 for rough and cute, but it feels like it fell too far away from the cute side for what made me love Suchip and Suchobile
Yeah, I actually really liked the compact plush like rendering of Suchip and Suchobile. The new Suchobile render is great and does make it more physically possible and intimidating, but I slightly miss the plush dragon imagery. And Suchip was way better with a more rounded back imo, it looks less unique and more like a generic dragon now. The mega evolution is absolutely fantastic though
Yess! Although I understand the purpose of the change, specially considering the awesome mega, I do not think that the old plushy style was an barrier to the menace vibe, for me is waaaaay cooler an pokemon that seem friendly but it's actually pure chaos and said chaos comes out on its mega

What I loved about the old Suchobilew design is that the way its tail curved upwards, made the space between it's back and tail look like an extra mouth, which fit perfectly into its inspiration.
Suchobile is honestly one of my favorite designs in this entire series and I so dearly wish it was canon. That being said, I do feel like Suchip’s new design loses a bit of the dumb puppy energy it has before, especially with the change in eye design. I know it’s to bring the two closer together, but I did really like the goofiness of Suchip. Mega Suchobile is terrifying, I love it.
Awesome designs all around! Also I know that you don’t usually talk about competitive viability of these designs but mega milotics ability is INSANE! Lowering ALL stats even for three turns is absolutely insanely powerful

Probably unintentional, but the lore+design of Suchobile and it's Mega Evolution would actually tie in really well to an odd little thing that happened in Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, where Guzzlord's Ultra Space is an alternate reality of Alola that seems to be in a state of worldwide disaster, and Guzzlord is used as some kind of cleanup, which would imply Guzzlord either was created, or evolved from an existing Pokémon, but there's no official confirmed origin yet as to what Guzzlord came from. Maybe Suchobile could fit right in as a 'missing link' of sorts
I know this is an odd comment but the silhouettes were so good! Mega Milotic was in the thumbnail so that was obvious and I didn’t actually watch the videos where you introduced Suchobile line but as soon as I saw the third silhouette I thought to myself, “Wait, is that a mega Skarmoey?” Its really cool that your able to convey a different form of a Pokémon just by their silhouette and just a testament to how great the designs are! Keep it up!
I love the new poses, it really does make the characters more tangible. Suchip and Suchobile are much more animated in my mind now, suchip really looks like it’s sitting just a bit too close to the kitchen waiting for scraps and the change to it’s proportions immediately bring a kind of lizard-like scrabbling run to mind. I really enjoy suchobile’s new pose though, as an animal nerd I’m drawing parallels between the way crocs really heft themselves up to walk and can stand up surprisingly high to look bigger. Plenty of reptiles also puff themselves up to look more intimidating, which I can imagine suchobile scrunching itself up more to emphasise the giant mouth in battle! Immaculate job!!
With mega milotic's ability, you should change it to work like intrepid sword does in gen 9 and work only once per battle bc the ability seems way too broken as is
Love to see more love for the Mazah Region! I feel like Suchip got angy boy from his eyes, but could be scaled back a bit. Mega Milotic’s ability is very strong; Awestrike. Instead of halving all stats by 50% for 3 turns, you could make it the first Attack/Sp Attack drop on switch in/activation like Intimidate. To improve on the dangerous beauty concept, you could have some of the scales of the tail become jagged and rougher, but partially cover it with the new fins that extend downward over the body. Mega Skarmory’s HP stat shouldn’t change. I would recommend investing 20 base stats into Attack and the remaining 5 in speed: 65 HP/160 Attack/145 Defense/40 SpAttack/70 SpDef/100 Speed. This would put it about on par with Mega Scizor who is 70/150/140/65/100/75 respectively. I cannot wait to play this game; keep up the great work!
I was waiting so long for Mazah Megas & they're all amazing. I'd definitely want to use them if I ever had the chance. Also, nice more pokemon from other regions are getting the Mega Evolution treatment.
@big ashton I meant more since the last time we got Megas announced, it was just the 2 from the contest. And (prior to this) there were only 2 non-Mazah Pokemon with Mega Evolutions.
I think its Kind of a miss that you discarded the thick muscular tail of suchobile, since it held a big portion of its menacing nature, possibly beeing used as a club or smth, like the stegoaur would propably do it.
My only critique for the new Suchip is that I wish you had kept the round pupils! That might just be my weakness for cuteness, tho. I love the redesign!

Love the new designs so much! These are amazing! I do have one thought, and idk if this just me, but I prefer the more vibrant lighter purpley-pink and stronger yellow that Suchobile had in your sketches. More vibrant versions of the colors original Suchobile had, just because the super dark blue/purple with the pale yellow makes the whole design feel a little less vibrant. It does capture the monstrous feeling better, but it just looks less vibrant and dynamic, versus the lighter colors. I think the darker colors work really well on the Mega, as that design goes fully in on the monstrous parts of it, and if normal Suchobile was lighter and more colorful that would help convey the personality difference between it and it's Mega form more clearly. Love your work and thanks for making all these stunning designs!
i just love, how you kept the designs close to the real pokemons, yet expanding their designs to a maximum without straving away too much from the original design. I mean, you just showed the silhouettes of these Pokemon and it wasnt hard at all to realize which pokemons megas they were
I was so excited when I saw suchobile's silhouette! And the re-design is just as, if not, cooler and more ferocious! The Mega somehow manages to be even MORE ferocious! I'm not certain if this was intentional, but the way it's positioned reminds me of a lot of the official mega mawhile art, with it turning around to showcase the two huge mouths that it gains. Overall, I think its super cool and I am definitely using it on my team when the full game is out!
When I design megas, sometimes I'll give the Pokemon receiving the Mega a little bit of a stat buff in both forms so that they can do well with or without their mega
Suchobile can produce acid strong enough to melt cars in its body. Crustang. Chuckles. “I’m in danger.” On a more serious note, I do like the new Pokémon but I think I would prefer if Mega Milotics tail was a bit bigger. Like it could create a small tsunami by smacking its tail in the water. In summary, I guess I’m asking for more of a “We’re gonna need a bigger boat” energy from it.
I absolutly love the treatment on mega milotic's hair and face. The texture and colour used really sell the "beautiful but dangerous" aspect of it, like the red is dark enough near the face to give it a more sombre look without taking away the beauty. It sort of reminds me of Walking Wake, the reptilian look with a mane does look very special and ancient and I adore it.
I do miss Suchip's old eyes a bit. The brow on the redesign makes him look a bit too intimidating, like a second stage. I liked how the original had a cute energetic goofball with little self control.
mega suckobile looks absolutely terrific! especially love the dripping mouth. Milotic looks majestic, but maybe its ability is a bit too much, knowing how you could just switch it in and out. Maybe I would make it halve offensive stats for 5 turns instead of all stats (kinda like giving your opponent slow start)
I really wish that, whenever a design gets updated, there would be a side-by-side comparison in the video, for us to really appreciate all the differences.
Wouls be cool if a Zinnia like character for Elorimanda had a Mega Milotic, and we have to defeat it the guardian to prove we are ready to summon the legendary pokemon
You could integrate the myth of Quetzalcoatl becoming the Sun of the second World as the Basis for Mega Quetzillian. I could envision two poses: One very confident one, where its just an erect figure, wings outstretched, the Crown and head being engulfed in churning flames and solar eruptions... Or a more curled-up shape, where the wings cup the body and the faint young sun its cradleing.
I truly wonder if youve ever considered working with pokemon, your designs are so creative and beautiful, and you are so diverse with each pokemon you create. I truly wish artists like you could come and breathe new life into the games instead of getting what feels like a few good pokemon then just- filler. Ive been watching your channel ever since i was a freshman in highschool and seeing your art grow as im now graduating makes me so happy to see. It would be really cool to see some megas for some gen 6 - 9 pokemon! I think you could be especially creative, since there has been a lot less speculation on possible designs since megas have been out of the spotlight.
While I do like and understand the redesigns, I feel like Suchip and che evolution lost a bit of that charme that made them look straight out of ancient mezoamerican murals/drawings, specially with that thick lines on their sides. Now they look a bit less "Mazah" I feel... Overall great video as always tho 💕
I actually love the changes to the croc line!! Not a pokemon I would have chosen before but the details really make it! My only issues is I wish the eyes were more puppy like as they had been before. I also love milotic but something about the mega seems off? Like the head seems to far away from milotics style and the face looks too mean? I wish it was a bit more wispy and maybe adorned like the hair pins gesha wear? and maybe the use of translucent fins make milotic seem like its wearing a kimono as texture instead of the hair like affect? Just food for thought. Love your work!
i wasnt expecting these mons to get updated, but here we are! i absolutely LOVE mega suchobile's design, though i do wish that its origional head changed in some way- like being bowed down in submissiveness to its back mouth, or even simply having the eyes closed as it seems to detract from the large mouth
Suchip is now an official member of the bite club like Fuecoco, Totodile, Sandile and Gible. (Also that mega Suchobile is so raw it gives me Skeledirge vibes and i just adore Skeledirge so this is a win!
I recognized immediately the mythic inspiration when the knee-jaws appeared, and I'm THERE for it! I just feel that, while all its Mega form's other aspects, like the legs, the maw, the original head being shoved to the back, all have purpose, its tail is just... there. I feel like it could have brought something to the design since it's now at the forefront. Maybe having it curled into yet another jaw with its current spikes as the teach, or being rooted in the larger jar like a tongue.
You have become incredibly consistent at delivering on the themes and inspiration behind your designs, while also re-creating the pokemon art-style. Suchobile seemed a little forget-able before, but now I absolutely want one on my team. Really nailed it with all the designs today.
One thing interesting about megas is that all megas have something they suffer from. Mega Sharpedo's Pokedex entry mentions that it feels pain in all its old wounds when it Mega Evolves. So it would be interesting if the Suchobile was suffering from hunger or the acid in the gaping mouth. Or the skarmory suffering from blades moving so drastically fast in it's body.
All of these were insane, mega milotic looks downright gorgeous and Mega suchabile is extremely intimidating. For other megas I would say definitely give some to the starters and also the Kalos starters. Edit: Mazian Persian would be insane with a mega, especially if you lean into Tezcatlipoca. Mak’wahurt being the sudo would also have a crazy mega. Hawlucha would have more Gen 6 megas which there is currently one and it’s a luchador. Finally having a mega roadraptor that was a full on celestial dinosaur would just be pure awesome.
I have an idea for a mega evolution! Crustang or Revaroom having an insatiable drive for speed. Driving around while almost trampling it’s own trainer.
While I do like the redesigns I kinda miss the cute vibe of Suchips old design. It's new eyes kinda look too evil in my opinion. But maybe that's just my bias towards a design I know for a longer time. Suchobile and its Mega on the other hand look absolutely dope. What epic designs! As for other Fakemon that could get Megaforms, what about Macrabra, from the Apocrober series? Idk I just feel like it could be a cool looking Mega, but I unfortunately don't really have any ideas for it
I was ambivalent about suchobile’s original design, but this updated version… 🤯 I’m not exaggerating when I say this would be in my top 10 Pokémon overall if it was official. The spikier shapes, the clearer anatomy, the saturated colors, the personality, it’s all amazing! And the mega- it’s like everything I love about mega gengar, guzlord, and mawile wrapped into a perfect dragon-type package. 🤤 Amazing work.
Mega Nilotic definitely does “enough” there are already a few megas who don’t actually change much so it’s perfectly fine as is. And mega suchobile is so darn cool I cannot wait to have him on my team

The updated rendering style on Suchobile looks great, but the detail inside the maw on its back was lost! No more glittering gems, just concentric circles when viewed on mobile. These games were on handhelds, so that glittering has to read at mobile resolution.
It always amazes me how much a few subtle changes can make a huge difference. I really didn't like the crocodiles in their first iteration, but now I really want one on my team! Those megas are great. As for not changing enough of the original design, I point squarely at Pidgeot. Your Milotic looks great!
Hey Jack, I have been a big fan of the Mazah region and all the fakemon that live there! I myself are a fakemon artist as well and am planning on posting in the future, but there is 1 thing I am struggliling with and have noticed you are great at is shading and lighting! It would be great for me and other people if you could consider making a video about how you make your desings and the brushes you use for drawing shading and lighting! I hope you consider it but even if you don't i still want to thank you for filling youtube with great content!

In order to make the corrosion ability feel useful, give the suchubile line a signature move that is a version of poison fang w/ 5 or 10 pp and 80-95 Base Power and 50% chance to toxic the target
There's honestly a spectrum for how much Mega forms look like their original. Remember Sableye? All they did for its Mega form was just give it a big crystal shield, and that's it. Your Mega Milotic is fine, in fact I really like it.

That mega milotic design is gorgeous, and its ability and stat spread make it absolutely cracked. I love it! I'd totally love to main it in the fangame!
What I adore about these is not just the designs, but the selection. The main gameplay function of Mega Evolution was to give Pokémon who were left behind in competitive viability and breathe new life into them, which is why Pokémon introduced afterward, with the exception of the mythical Pokémon Diancie who got one becuase movie tickets and merch sales. Both Skarmory and Milotic fit, with Corviknight taking the role Skarmory had and Milotic being a victim of general power creep, there is a genuine reason to give them each a mega evolution outside of popularity unlike the travesty that was Mega Garchomp. I'm not sure how I feel about giving a region native a mega evolution because both are being designed concurrently and at that point there is an argument to be made that the Pokémon should just be made better rather than giving it a boost. The designs are really cool though and that can't be understated. I just really want to point out that it felt like some thought was put into Mega selection rather than "Wouldn't it be cool if [Popular Pokémon that is already good] got *_EVEN BETTER_*!!??111?!"
Love the re done Suchip and Suchobile, I'd previously considered them fine but not standout but these small changes have made such a difference, they now stand up there with your best. Great work mate
Regarding other pokémon to give mega evolutions to, I honestly think Bronzong should be a shoo-in. Mostly due to a possible Tlaloc inspiration, and the fact it was worshipped in ancient times. Like, it’s worshipped form is reawakened by the mega evolution or something.
Suchobile might be my favorite Mazean Pokemon. Love seeing it. No critiques of the redesign. Absolutely adore the Mega - it's definitely what I wanted to see. That said, a couple ideas to push it even further: - give it a mouth at the end of its tail, resembling an ankylosaurus club - the drool/bubbling acid in its big mouth? Shape some of the popping bubbles and hanging drool to *resemble* additional mouths. That second one in particular I think would take it to the next level.
On the topic of mega evolution, am I the only one who thinks that chansey's evolution (blissy) looks like a mega? I'm not the only one right? Also love the work! Can't wait to see more of the Maza region pokemon! It has genuinely revived my interest in Pokemon.
Honestly I'm gonna miss the chunkiness and round eyes on Suchip and Suchobile's original designs, they were so much more interesting to me when they were cute and goofy, they're way more boring as just scary crocodiles... The mega does look sick af though.

It could be Dragon/Dark however Poison makes more sense as that's it's more prominent feature! Like how not all bug pokemon are bug type.

With mega milotic's ability, you should change it to work like intrepid sword does in gen 9 and work only once per battle bc the ability seems way too broken as is

I feel like Suchip got angy boy from his eyes, but could be scaled back a bit.
Mega Milotic’s ability is very strong; Awestrike. Instead of halving all stats by 50% for 3 turns, you could make it the first Attack/Sp Attack drop on switch in/activation like Intimidate. To improve on the dangerous beauty concept, you could have some of the scales of the tail become jagged and rougher, but partially cover it with the new fins that extend downward over the body.
Mega Skarmory’s HP stat shouldn’t change. I would recommend investing 20 base stats into Attack and the remaining 5 in speed: 65 HP/160 Attack/145 Defense/40 SpAttack/70 SpDef/100 Speed. This would put it about on par with Mega Scizor who is 70/150/140/65/100/75 respectively.

I was waiting so long for Mazah Megas & they're all amazing. I'd definitely want to use them if I ever had the chance. Also, nice more pokemon from other regions are getting the Mega Evolution treatment.

@big ashton I meant more since the last time we got Megas announced, it was just the 2 from the contest. And (prior to this) there were only 2 non-Mazah Pokemon with Mega Evolutions.
I think its Kind of a miss that you discarded the thick muscular tail of suchobile, since it held a big portion of its menacing nature, possibly beeing used as a club or smth, like the stegoaur would propably do it.

My only critique for the new Suchip is that I wish you had kept the round pupils! That might just be my weakness for cuteness, tho. I love the redesign!
I think a lot of the viewers agree that suchip's charm was his derpy cuteness, but he looks so menacing now )): other than that I think the mega evolution designs are great!
Love the new designs so much! These are amazing! I do have one thought, and idk if this just me, but I prefer the more vibrant lighter purpley-pink and stronger yellow that Suchobile had in your sketches. More vibrant versions of the colors original Suchobile had, just because the super dark blue/purple with the pale yellow makes the whole design feel a little less vibrant. It does capture the monstrous feeling better, but it just looks less vibrant and dynamic, versus the lighter colors. I think the darker colors work really well on the Mega, as that design goes fully in on the monstrous parts of it, and if normal Suchobile was lighter and more colorful that would help convey the personality difference between it and it's Mega form more clearly. Love your work and thanks for making all these stunning designs!

i just love, how you kept the designs close to the real pokemons, yet expanding their designs to a maximum without straving away too much from the original design.

I was so excited when I saw suchobile's silhouette! And the re-design is just as, if not, cooler and more ferocious! The Mega somehow manages to be even MORE ferocious! I'm not certain if this was intentional, but the way it's positioned reminds me of a lot of the official mega mawhile art, with it turning around to showcase the two huge mouths that it gains. Overall, I think its super cool and I am definitely using it on my team when the full game is out!
When I design megas, sometimes I'll give the Pokemon receiving the Mega a little bit of a stat buff in both forms so that they can do well with or without their mega

On a more serious note, I do like the new Pokémon but I think I would prefer if Mega Milotics tail was a bit bigger. Like it could create a small tsunami by smacking its tail in the water. In summary, I guess I’m asking for more of a “We’re gonna need a bigger boat” energy from it.

I absolutly love the treatment on mega milotic's hair and face. The texture and colour used really sell the "beautiful but dangerous" aspect of it, like the red is dark enough near the face to give it a more sombre look without taking away the beauty. It sort of reminds me of Walking Wake, the reptilian look with a mane does look very special and ancient and I adore it.
I do miss Suchip's old eyes a bit. The brow on the redesign makes him look a bit too intimidating, like a second stage. I liked how the original had a cute energetic goofball with little self control.
mega suckobile looks absolutely terrific! especially love the dripping mouth.
Milotic looks majestic, but maybe its ability is a bit too much, knowing how you could just switch it in and out. Maybe I would make it halve offensive stats for 5 turns instead of all stats (kinda like giving your opponent slow start)
I really wish that, whenever a design gets updated, there would be a side-by-side comparison in the video, for us to really appreciate all the differences.
Wouls be cool if a Zinnia like character for Elorimanda had a Mega Milotic, and we have to defeat it the guardian to prove we are ready to summon the legendary pokemon

You could integrate the myth of Quetzalcoatl becoming the Sun of the second World as the Basis for Mega Quetzillian.
I could envision two poses: One very confident one, where its just an erect figure, wings outstretched, the Crown and head being engulfed in churning flames and solar eruptions...
Or a more curled-up shape, where the wings cup the body and the faint young sun its cradleing.
Ohhh mega suchobile works on two fronts cause the villain team having a gluttonous pokemon could speak for their greed as well!
Mega Milotic‘s fins really give off biblically accurate angel vibes which I think fits very well. Love the other megas as well
I truly wonder if youve ever considered working with pokemon, your designs are so creative and beautiful, and you are so diverse with each pokemon you create. I truly wish artists like you could come and breathe new life into the games instead of getting what feels like a few good pokemon then just- filler. Ive been watching your channel ever since i was a freshman in highschool and seeing your art grow as im now graduating makes me so happy to see. I cant wait for the full release of the mazah reigon and I have high hopes for it. You are truly amazing
It would be really cool to see some megas for some gen 6 - 9 pokemon! I think you could be especially creative, since there has been a lot less speculation on possible designs since megas have been out of the spotlight.
While I do like and understand the redesigns, I feel like Suchip and che evolution lost a bit of that charme that made them look straight out of ancient mezoamerican murals/drawings, specially with that thick lines on their sides. Now they look a bit less "Mazah" I feel... Overall great video as always tho 💕

I actually love the changes to the croc line!! Not a pokemon I would have chosen before but the details really make it! My only issues is I wish the eyes were more puppy like as they had been before.
I also love milotic but something about the mega seems off? Like the head seems to far away from milotics style and the face looks too mean? I wish it was a bit more wispy and maybe adorned like the hair pins gesha wear? and maybe the use of translucent fins make milotic seem like its wearing a kimono as texture instead of the hair like affect? Just food for thought. Love your work!

i wasnt expecting these mons to get updated, but here we are! i absolutely LOVE mega suchobile's design, though i do wish that its origional head changed in some way- like being bowed down in submissiveness to its back mouth, or even simply having the eyes closed as it seems to detract from the large mouth
Suchip is now an official member of the bite club like Fuecoco, Totodile, Sandile and Gible. (Also that mega Suchobile is so raw it gives me Skeledirge vibes and i just adore Skeledirge so this is a win!
Suchobile is such a great design and that mega evolution is so badass. Definitely one of my favorite Mazah pokemon!
I recognized immediately the mythic inspiration when the knee-jaws appeared, and I'm THERE for it!
I just feel that, while all its Mega form's other aspects, like the legs, the maw, the original head being shoved to the back, all have purpose, its tail is just... there.
I feel like it could have brought something to the design since it's now at the forefront. Maybe having it curled into yet another jaw with its current spikes as the teach, or being rooted in the larger jar like a tongue.
You have become incredibly consistent at delivering on the themes and inspiration behind your designs, while also re-creating the pokemon art-style.
Suchobile seemed a little forget-able before, but now I absolutely want one on my team. Really nailed it with all the designs today.
Just a very tiny nitpick: Megas keep the same HP stat as their base forms! Other than that, amazing art! Keep up the amazing work

One thing interesting about megas is that all megas have something they suffer from.
Mega Sharpedo's Pokedex entry mentions that it feels pain in all its old wounds when it Mega Evolves.
So it would be interesting if the Suchobile was suffering from hunger or the acid in the gaping mouth.
Or the skarmory suffering from blades moving so drastically fast in it's body.
All of these were insane, mega milotic looks downright gorgeous and Mega suchabile is extremely intimidating.
For other megas I would say definitely give some to the starters and also the Kalos starters.
Edit: Mazian Persian would be insane with a mega, especially if you lean into Tezcatlipoca. Mak’wahurt being the sudo would also have a crazy mega. Hawlucha would have more Gen 6 megas which there is currently one and it’s a luchador. Finally having a mega roadraptor that was a full on celestial dinosaur would just be pure awesome.
I did like the eyes of suchip before way more now they just blend into the design, instead of making it seem adorable like a cartoon dog

I have an idea for a mega evolution! Crustang or Revaroom having an insatiable drive for speed. Driving around while almost trampling it’s own trainer.
While I do like the redesigns I kinda miss the cute vibe of Suchips old design. It's new eyes kinda look too evil in my opinion. But maybe that's just my bias towards a design I know for a longer time.
Suchobile and its Mega on the other hand look absolutely dope. What epic designs!
As for other Fakemon that could get Megaforms, what about Macrabra, from the Apocrober series? Idk I just feel like it could be a cool looking Mega, but I unfortunately don't really have any ideas for it

I’m not exaggerating when I say this would be in my top 10 Pokémon overall if it was official. The spikier shapes, the clearer anatomy, the saturated colors, the personality, it’s all amazing!
And the mega- it’s like everything I love about mega gengar, guzlord, and mawile wrapped into a perfect dragon-type package. 🤤

Mega Nilotic definitely does “enough” there are already a few megas who don’t actually change much so it’s perfectly fine as is. And mega suchobile is so darn cool I cannot wait to have him on my team

Suchomile’s mega kinda resembles mawile’s in a way especially in posing
The updated rendering style on Suchobile looks great, but the detail inside the maw on its back was lost! No more glittering gems, just concentric circles when viewed on mobile. These games were on handhelds, so that glittering has to read at mobile resolution.
The redesign of Suchobile made it go from a pokemon I wasn’t super excited about to one of my favorite of the regions and the mega is AWESOME
Mega Milotic looks like something Lusamine or any other beauty obsessed person would use as their ace to try and capture Elorimanda or something.

I myself are a fakemon artist as well and am planning on posting in the future, but there is 1 thing I am struggliling with and have noticed you are great at is shading and lighting!
It would be great for me and other people if you could consider making a video about how you make your desings and the brushes you use for drawing shading and lighting!

I'd love to see a Grass/Fire Mega sunflora. Since sunfloras design is Somewhat platinum and the fan game made sunflora a Grass/Fire type.

In order to make the corrosion ability feel useful, give the suchubile line a signature move that is a version of poison fang w/ 5 or 10 pp and 80-95 Base Power and 50% chance to toxic the target
There's honestly a spectrum for how much Mega forms look like their original. Remember Sableye? All they did for its Mega form was just give it a big crystal shield, and that's it. Your Mega Milotic is fine, in fact I really like it.
so good! I think some of the new mons from gen7-9 could be really cool to see mega-evos for. Tsareena would be my pick , but I also think it'd be cool to see how you'd stylize Dudunsparce and Tinkaton
That mega milotic design is gorgeous, and its ability and stat spread make it absolutely cracked. I love it! I'd totally love to main it in the fangame!
What I adore about these is not just the designs, but the selection.
The main gameplay function of Mega Evolution was to give Pokémon who were left behind in competitive viability and breathe new life into them, which is why Pokémon introduced afterward, with the exception of the mythical Pokémon Diancie who got one becuase movie tickets and merch sales.
Both Skarmory and Milotic fit, with Corviknight taking the role Skarmory had and Milotic being a victim of general power creep, there is a genuine reason to give them each a mega evolution outside of popularity unlike the travesty that was Mega Garchomp.
I'm not sure how I feel about giving a region native a mega evolution because both are being designed concurrently and at that point there is an argument to be made that the Pokémon should just be made better rather than giving it a boost.
The designs are really cool though and that can't be understated. I just really want to point out that it felt like some thought was put into Mega selection rather than "Wouldn't it be cool if [Popular Pokémon that is already good] got *_EVEN BETTER_*!!??111?!"
Love the re done Suchip and Suchobile, I'd previously considered them fine but not standout but these small changes have made such a difference, they now stand up there with your best. Great work mate
Regarding other pokémon to give mega evolutions to, I honestly think Bronzong should be a shoo-in. Mostly due to a possible Tlaloc inspiration, and the fact it was worshipped in ancient times. Like, it’s worshipped form is reawakened by the mega evolution or something.
I feel like milotic should half the highest stat of the pokemon , that way she could break spdef walls

Suchobile might be my favorite Mazean Pokemon. Love seeing it. No critiques of the redesign. Absolutely adore the Mega - it's definitely what I wanted to see. That said, a couple ideas to push it even further:
- give it a mouth at the end of its tail, resembling an ankylosaurus club
- the drool/bubbling acid in its big mouth? Shape some of the popping bubbles and hanging drool to *resemble* additional mouths.
That second one in particular I think would take it to the next level.
The suchobile touch ups came out great! The anatomy definitely reads a lot clearer to me and it makes me love the whole design
On the topic of mega evolution, am I the only one who thinks that chansey's evolution (blissy) looks like a mega? I'm not the only one right?
Also love the work! Can't wait to see more of the Maza region pokemon! It has genuinely revived my interest in Pokemon.
Honestly I'm gonna miss the chunkiness and round eyes on Suchip and Suchobile's original designs, they were so much more interesting to me when they were cute and goofy, they're way more boring as just scary crocodiles...
The mega does look sick af though.
