***** Oh! If you watch the video, Ed explains why he wrote The A Team, and what it's about. Long story short he participated in a homeless shelter christmas charity thing with his friend; playing music and such for the people there. Angel was a regular there each year, and the year he preformed he met her. He wrote the song about her, and her rough life and such. That is who Angel is.

whats amazing is that he sounds exactly the same live as he does on the radio and usually in concerts everyones screaming but Ed makes them all go silent
Only the greatest musicians in the world are able to sound better live than they do in the studio. This is some of the best live performing I've ever seen. The last 11 minutes cause an elongated eargasm the likes of which come around maybe once a year if I'm lucky.

Brilliant, start to finish. Great songwriter, great guitar work and use of the loop pedal, cool, chilled-out vibe, and WOW, that end piece!! Didn't know he could rap!! Five stars all round! :-D
apparently you've never been to one of ED's concerts he asks the audience to shut it and believe me he's right you appreciate more when it's quiet

He doesn't want them to scream. He either want's them to be quiet or sing along. And that's what is so amazing. He can tell a whole arena to be quiet and they shut up.
Yes, I agree with this completely! :) I seen him in concert this past September, and he even told us that he prefers quieter venues, especially since it's just him and a guitar; he doesn't have a big band to back him up.

Actually when you're seeing him live you just go crazy:D Well, it's not that I cry to every single of his songs, but I have at least once. The concerts are no rock concerts where you scream & shout & jump all the time, but they definitely have a great entertainment factor. You're just standing in the crowd at some points and are absorbed by the moment. I've been to his show twice and I'd totally recommend anyone to go & see it. This man is just bloody awesome!
I am so in love with Ed Sheeran now! You can see how down to earth he is! He talks so sweetly and he looks so cuddly! The sweetest celebrity i the world! Others are so high in standards, bud Ed is such a simple person. I wish I could meet him one day to simply say how much his life changed my life!

It's not the only gig that Ed did where the audience was quite while the song, if you search other videos of his concerts you'll see it. I think It's a way to show him respect, and that's a thing he really likes, so people who use to listen to him is used to it and tries to be quit!
