Less than five minutes in I realized neither of you guys know what youre talking about. For one, priests dont GET Kazing, ever. Kazing is unique to Sages. And it has been the essence of simplicity to check that for many years now. Also, only training a character in one vocation is noob crap. Also also, Oomph becomes an exercise in frustration to try to use late-game because almost all of the bosses hit you with Disruptive Wave and then you're back to basics. The only thing that helps allay that frustration is that you can Disruptive Wave them just as easily.
DQIX is really fun when you make challenges for yourself while playing the game. One thing i love was the guests at the inn from other games that give you equipment to make you look like them, have done a few runs on my third copy like that thanks to a trick to still access the DQVC.
Can I ask how you’re still accessing DQVC? I’ve tried, but haven’t been able to get into it. I’m currently playing on a New 2DS XL, but I also have a DSLite that I can use. I just unlocked vocation switch by beating Master of Nu’un. What I really wanna do is access DQVC to get the extra guests in the inn and be able to buy the bonus accessories in the shop. Please let me know!

@Bambobo a youtuber named sackchief made a video showing how you can access the online stuff. I can tell you now if you have a phone that can do wi-fi Hotspot, you can use that to connect online by using a specific code
HOW
You cannot access DQVC, the only way is save editors since you cannot canvas any players. Sadly even if you can, you need to find some private servers which are not easy to find.
My end game build revolved around a gladiator with an uber falcon blade. 2 characters would pump them up, a priest would keep everyone alive and buff them, then the glad would blind man's bluff at max tensions, and basically one shot anything I was fighting
Or the party members, but that's beside the point
Why do that. When you can buff a martial artist, then use force and oomph on her with a mage. And then finally use hard claw. 3-4k damage (depending on your equipment/lvl). One shot almost every grotto boss and easily enough to kill every story boss.
@joeymiller5055 that also funny. I just enjoy the times when blind man's bluff just murders my own party members
I always switch my character to armamentalist super early so that both me and my mage can cast Oomph on two different characters in the same turn. Super useful for main game
Theres full heal too for priest. Priest is straight up all heal support while sage is a combination of mage and priest.
Spent 19 mins telling us gladiator oomph and multiheal is good

Paladin, Gladiator, Gladiator, Priest is (imo) the best for high level legacy bosses
Without a doubt. Love the game but the overtuned x4 Falcon Slash along with the combo bonus really doesnt leave many room for other strategies
As well as every other post game boss having access to the Sage purge, which makes setup comps almost pointless
Making the Hero a support is the best option thanks to their unique ability Egg On, you buff other people and then Egg On your DPS

Paladin, Warrior, Martial artist, and Sage was a super good team for me. Warrior and martial artist naturally deal lots of damage. Paladin and warrior soak up damage. And Paladin and sage keep everyone alive!
A Gladiator with shield and Über falcon blade deals more damage than a warrior and has a great defense.
@@capitanulloa5728 ugh. Everyone’s going on about gladiator but they just aint the same. And to prove my point i-
*Watches as Gladiator is only slightly less tanky and absolutely whomps the boss with a falcon slash falcon blade.*
Warrior doesn’t even do half that good on inferno sword dear lord.
Needless to say. I hate that gladiator is so good compared to the others. But warrior critical claim or gladiator heccin super boost?
Yeah, the tension raise is killer. I just never got enough coop’s to realize how busted they can be.
Still love paladin, but yeah, gladiator is kinda tough! May need to do some more theory crafting but the paladin and warrior skill trees even negate any problems I’d have with gladiator just cause the extra health and defense that’d work well on warrior just compounds Gladiator’s strengths.
@@Starlitsoul0359 I use 2 gladiators, a priest to heal anf gritty ditty and a Paladin to tank and use the armamentalist skills.

Only other sidegrade is either subbing someone for a sage to save on Yggdrasil Leaves during low to mid level legacy bosses. Or just have everyone but the Priest on Glad but yeah Knight's Watch is almost mandatory for the latest encounters

In my opinion Knight's Watch is a must have against legacy bosses like Nokturnus.
about oomph , armamentalists get that spell . funny enough , in the post game i maxed out my mc as a minstrel (lvl99) and then built them up as an armamentalist
i'm happy being a support to my heavy hitters lol , and when there's nothing to do support wise you can deal some decent enough damage to compliment them . especially with the uber falcon blade or another sword if you chose to invest points in swords from the beginning .
they also have an abilities you can apply to your party to give them elemental attack boosts , really helpful to get that extra bit of damage on higher level legacy bosses
For my comp I go for
Paladin (my main) - usually use them as a decently hard hitting player, I put 100 in sword, they're a great tank with decent damage and healing utility.
Warrior acts like my second tank, lacks utility but hits hard.
Mage I mean I could have used a gladiator here but I wanted a magic hard hitter just for varity.
Priest I actually trained them to do semi decent damage on spear, but they're the main healer.
My main character is just at least max level +1 in every class
The post game is why its so in depth. To even get the beat maps u gotta max classes and rebirth a few times b4 they come available. You didnt mention the most op skill in the game...tension. a max tension fandango will obliterate anything pretty quick. I get ot yall were just talkin bout a normal play thru n thats fair😊

Priest is miles above Sage. Omniheal is just too strong, and the capacity to reach enough agility to play before endgame bosses also is
Oophm is not valuable enough late game for it to influence class picking when the Nitty Gritty skill book (+1 Atk all party) exists
Best party is always Priest X1, with the eventual Sage for the 100% Res to save on Yggdrasil Leafs & Pally for Knight's Watch, with every other party member being a Gladiator
Combat wise, Priest uses Nitty Gritty T1 & T2, fastest attacker (Sage if picked) uses adequate Fource T1, and then its all a matter of spamming Falcon Slash with everyone for the combo bonus, Multi/Omniheal with the priest, and resurecting/rebuffing when needed
I love DQ9 but the endgame teambuilding is really not that intricate

I defeated the wight knight(megumin died as expected, aqua was surprisingly useful and darkness acted as a tank/heavy hitter)their classes are priest/mage/warrior, I gave Kazuma full sword upgrades which made him op in the very beginning lol, but that's only because I wanna make him a thief to make it as accurate as possible.
Remembering all of the good times I had in DQ9 makes the disappointment I felt in DQ11 sting even more. TTwTT

a minstrel can be pretty strong, they can carry you through the main story at least.
