    These places charge like wounded Buffalo, and makes it tuff for the 'normal folks' to attend......
    Glad you share there trips, atleast then some of us also get to experience it.
    Good Sunday viewing.
    Side note
    That curry dish looked delicious, I'm a sucker for curries.

      Thanks Christopher! Called a firestick, pretty common in SA as we have to light hardwood most of the time. www.takealot.com/gas-fire-starter-flame-stick/PLID54529561

    I appreciate you labeling the bird names - saves me pausing to look them up! We have birds in Canada that are related, but so many are completely different. I've shown them to my cat, because she is a big bird-watcher, but she is much more interested in Venessa's cooking!

    Great episode. Moremi looks awesome. Re the JetBoil…you bought the small one - the Zip. The bigger version (the Flash, I think) has the self igniter and the colour changing cover that tells when the water is boiling. I’ve got the Zip as well. Love it. Use it all the time on our trips.

    Great video Christoff. Love watching your videos. You asked about the Jetboil. We have the 1 liter and it has the temperature indicator and the push button. Plus we don’t find it flimsy. Highly recommend it. One more thing when do we see the inside of your rig with the cupboards? Looking for ideas 😂

    • @GetOutGO
      @GetOutGO  19 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks Paul, yup we subsequently find out we bought the “cheap” model 🤪. We are probably going a different direction with the cupboards, will have it in in Feb by hook or by crook!

    Chris you have a great set-up - The canopy works so well and no towing. Your drone shots are excellent - what drone would you recommend?

    I have seen your review of a genie trailer and since you are using 79 series setup now which one would you recommend, this current setup or trailer?

    • @GetOutGO
      @GetOutGO  21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hi, depends entirely on what your needs are. We do a mix of longer stays and 1-night stops. We also go very far off the beaten track. For these reasons I prefer not to tow something mainly because of the extra complexity (extra tyres, bearings, axle, shocks, brakes etc.). Our setup is very quick though and still provides an inside living space (needed on extended travel). It's also just the two of us. f you only travel occasionally, don't want to modify your car heavily, like to stay in one place for longer and are more than a couple then a trailer will probably be better.

    Another great video. Where could I find your hat?

    • @GetOutGO
      @GetOutGO  14 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you. My original hat is a Drizabone, they don’t make hats anymore unfortunately. You can still get hold of Akubras but they’re quite expensive outside Australia.

    Thanks Christoff - looks like a proper adventure. I see you managed to get some great drone shots - did you have to get permission to fly the drone? I’ve wanted to take mine before, but wasn’t sure on the regulations. Would be good to know for future - thanks in advance.

    • @GetOutGO
      @GetOutGO  21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thanks Graeme! I put a note in the description; all the drone shots were taken on private properties with permission from the respective owners. No shots were taken inside National Parks or reserves even though it’s edited to look that way. To get those permits are pretty much impossible.

      Thanks Christoff. That makes sense. The drone footage adds a great element of perspective - nice one. We spent some time in Xakanaxa a few years ago - absolutely loved it. Probably my favourite camp in Moremi. Enjoying the episode - thank you.

    Oh that was great Christoff. More of these trips please mate, it is really setting us up for our self drive bucket list trip in the future.
    Really interested to know how your set up is performing, in the heat and more importantly the rain. Thank you mate

      Thank you! The tent part is insulated so it’s not bad but it still gets hot. We use a 12v fan which helps. I will be testing an airconditioner but I think it’s probably too bulky and too power-hungry.
