I just bought the trail camera dl001 and when setting it up. after entering a sertial number it will not go back to the menu. It's stuck in that 'position'. How do I get it back to the menu? thanks
I do not recalling entering serial number of some sort. Maybe your dl001 is from another maker or manufacturer, or maybe your unit has a different firmware than mine? Maybe settings got corrupted, you can try removing the batteries and leave it off for an hour or so to reset the eprom.
You must put the dl001 in video mode to record video. Power on the trail camera into "Test Mode". Press ^ up arrow to get to video mode. Then press "M" for menu and set the desired video resolution, the recording length and the audio recording to on or off. Then press "M" again to set everything else, and then press "M" once again to exit to the live view screen. Test if the unit will now record video by pressing the < left button, then press center "E" Enter button to stop recording, Playback the recorded video by pressing > "Right Button". Then when everything is set as desired, you now can put the DL001 in "ON" ready mode for the trail camera to shoot videos automatically when motion is detected in front of the lens.
