    I just discovered your channel and am loving all of the detailed tutorials! My husband and I are going to be redoing our bathrooms and I was wondering if you could show how to do a finish similar to a white sparkling quartz? One that I’ve seen as inspiration is Silestone Stellar Snow quartz countertops. Thanks for the great videos!

    First of all Rhonda, LOVE U BACK IN "LEAPS&BOUNDS." I wait all week for videos from you and Keithe and Stonecoat boys. U have this natural glow&positive draw that intoxicates people. It doesn't hurt that ur so damn cute to boot. Head swelled up yet? lol I only speak truths. Just can't believe how much I've learned from you. I still haven't done my pours yet. I've caught the creepy crud for 6 weeks now and cannot shake it. Too much sickness filtering thru the people rt now. I live in the country and tornado whistles went off today along with notice on phone to get into basement. Great! After gathering important documents I opened back door and stood there like...Nope. For 5 minutes I prayed to God for this not to happen. That funnel cloud was headed straight for me. My contractor working on basement moved both my vehicles into the polebarn and we waited. That thing went rt around me, shifted course. God is good all the time. God knew I just wanted to be able to pour my countertops after all of the research and excitement. lol

    Great explanations and vid. The only critique I have is that in nature there are NOT a lot of 90 degree angles and you place a lot of them in your marble. I studied real marble pictures, esp. grey and white, and most have a sort of directional line to the veins--almost wind blown looking. Would you consider doing those type in a vid? I wonder if a slant to the board would do that? think it would look more realistic:)

    Looks fantastic. Question: Do you need a flood coat on top of that before you put the top coat on? Confused by when you need to cover your previous work and when you can just use the top coat. Thank you.

    • @RK3Designs
      @RK3Designs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We almost always recommend a clear flood coat. The color coat is often compromised because you add colorants. A clear flood coat brings back the original durability and protection of the epoxy. It also provides a buffer between the color coat and the ultimate topcoat. If there’s ever a reason you need to sand off the ultimate topcoat, this flood coat gives you protection, so that you don’t sand down to your color coat.

    Hello, how long do you let the undercoat paint primer dry before applying the epoxy, thank you

    • @RK3Designs
      @RK3Designs  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If its the Stonecoat countertop undercoat, then 4 hours. If it’s a latex paint, a minimum of 24 hours.

    I have been watching your tutorials and I love them. I'm wanting to pour a white marble countertop but I've been seeing people on other channels saying that the white epoxy stains very easily. Is this true, and if so is there a way to clean it? I really want the white, but I don't want to get in to something that I can't maintain. Pleeeease help

    I wonder if it is doable to make a veneer to lay overtop existing counter tops so I don’t have to touch the counters? Is this possible?

    • @RK3Designs
      @RK3Designs  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure a thin veneer would work, but we’ve had people make tops out of 1/2 in MDF and just fit them over the top.
