Richard got what he deserved for choosing carrie’s sister over her
Yeah Agree. He deserves a tuff lesson. When he leaves his wife.
Narrator: Soon after the divorce, Richard’s life started to go downhill. He and Stacy try to have a child, but had no luck. It turns out that Richard was sterile and couldn’t have children. And to make matters worse, Stacy eventually ends up leaving him for another man. With both Carrie and Stacy now gone, Richard fell into a deep depression which ended up costing him his job and his house. Now Richard is living on the streets all alone and heartbroken while Carrie moved on and married a nice man and they started a loving family together

It doesn't matter. In the United States, an inheritance given to a person is the sole property of that person.

Hope that Carrie disowned her sister. I knew Richard would start grovelling and begging as soon as Carrie told him about the inheritance after his ears pricked up when she mentioned about the Celebration.
Ending Narration
Richard thought he had things figured out, but in the end Carrie had it figured out for him, now he realized what a laps in judgement he made.
Well done Richard!! You just rewarded yourself with the Oscar of stupidity as a cheater and as an ungrateful husband !!!

Ha ha serves Richard right. Once Carrie signed those divorce papers knew that this cheating p*g of a husband Richard was out of Carrie's life and she can now enjoy her inheritance without her cheating husband to share it with. Also hope that Carrie disowned her sister as well. Good for you Carrie. So satisfying to see the look of despair on Richard's face and then the obligatory 'grovelling' to Carrie started but she soon shut him up.

Carrie: Richard, there are some things that you should know. The reason why I quit designer school was that my teacher was so mean to me. She would always ridicule my designs and humiliate me in front of the entire class. I just couldn’t take it anymore. And I know I gained weight in the last few months. Even though you never bothered to ask why, I’ll tell you. Between every job I had, cooking your dinner, cleaning the house, washing your clothes and running your errands, I have no time for myself, much less the gym. The reason why I always have lunch with my dad is that I hardly see him anymore because he’s always working. Lunch was the only way I could spend time with him. And as for me not having a child? Well, after 15 years, it never occurred to you that maybe you were the one that couldn’t conceive? No. You always just assumed it was me. I am not a deceitful woman, Richard. I’m an honest woman. It’s you that’s deceitful and I really hope that one day, you’ll learn to really appreciate something before you loose it entirely. Goodbye, Richard
