Yes, I did purchase something myself too. I purchased the skirt to fit me perfectly and of course, the outfit for the doll. I’m glad you liked the hoodie. I wasn’t sure with that me. I’m a little too.
I didn’t know it was back in stock at gap. I’ll have to order it. I checked a couple of times and it said sold out so then I just didn’t look anymore so thank you for the heads up as far as getting a hoodie. Oh, I wish they made them in adult sizes however I am not an extra small or a small, I can’t remember a time in my life when I was . Yes I can my freshman year in high school. I’m having my 50th class reunion this year so long long long long time ago dinosaurs were still on the Earth. But thank you so much for waiting it out and coming to us with a reminder, which is very necessary in the wake of summer. I also have to include and I’m sorry if I offend anybody who bought the doll the Barbie. I have some terribly strong opinions on that. I am not a fan. However, back to my original point, the fact that you stated American girl makes all different kinds of clothes for all different kinds of dolls. We should buy the ones that appeal to us and with the holidays coming if there are requests for summer, they will be honored. But my biggest hope is that eyes look elsewhere in the collections.
Yes, we definitely should buy what we like. Adult collector community is growing, we collect for different reasons, we have different preferences, we got into this hobby at different times - and Mattel wouldn’t mind taking money from all of us, so they have to diversify their offerings. The historical line moves from the forefront to the background, which is sad IMO, but we are still getting new stuff and new characters, so I am happy about that.

You are welcome! I was 99% sure I would have to return the kids hoodie, but it worked! Gotta make sure to wash it on cold cycle and hang for drying

GAP was the place to shop in the 80s-90s. It’s classic GAP for direct. I might have to buy it.

I heard that the stars on the hoodie are rough in the inside, and have scratched dolls, I can't confirrm it's true...
I had gotten the outfit for dolls, but when I got it, it was too small on my dolls. It’s like it had been washed and shrunk.
