It’s interesting to hear someone else’s take on this. I graduated in 3 years from UCSD, but so did most of my friends, so my experience was a bit different. I feel like I got lucky because my bio anth degree was interesting, but didn’t have too many requirements so I was able to take summers off, do research, be in Model UN, study abroad, etc. Sometimes I wonder if I made the right decision, but not graduating during the pandemic was definitely a plus. Thanks for the video and good luck in med school!
Hey! I am an incoming pre-med student at UCSD in the Muir College who is interested in graduating in 3 years. Would you recommend graduating early as a UCSD student and how difficult was it? Thank you so much!!
@@maddiesnyder421 Hi! I highly recommend graduating in three years. UCSD makes it pretty easy to do because most majors only require 12-15 courses. Do you have any AP or IB credit? If so, that will definitely help. Also, just because you’re pre-med doesn’t mean you have to major in bio, you can choose whatever major you want, just make sure you get your medical school prereqs in some way or another. I’d be happy to answer any other questions you have about UCSD.
@@98Meredith Great, thanks for that insight. Yes I do have some AP credit and dual credit classes that fortunately are transferrable. I didn't know that UCSD requires so few credits for majors so that's great to know! As of now I am a Human Bio major because that's what I am interested in, but it could definitely change. I'll definitely reach out if any other questions come up. Thanks so much for your help and go tritons! :)
Thank you so much for this video! I’m a freshman on the same plan you’re doing. I’m planning on graduating in 3 years but I also want to do an MD/PHD program. I’m so conflicted on my plan of action, but I know I’ll figure it out over time
Im planning on going to dental school. I personally didn’t do good in high school. Now I’m 21 and found a passion in dentistry, after assisting for a year. I’m starting from ground zero and ready to go change for better
Your a goated legend, f*** the cons lol. Your ahead of the game. Only pros exist for you! Develop a sharper focus on your ultimate goal and keep dominating!!
I'm considering graduating in three years for financial reason...but the cons you listed are exactly what I'm afraid of regretting...thanks for the insight though!
I’m going into college this fall as a sophomore and I plan on graduating in three years and (hopefully) going straight to med school. This was very informative, thanks!
Please make a video detailing how you were able to graduate 3 years early while working on going straight into med school! It would be greatly appreciated :)
Wow thats awesome! Theirs pros and cons with everything. U did what was best for u at the time. Whether u regret it later or not. Your on a heavy journey. Best of luck!
I graduated with an Associates before my high school diploma and I got 53 credits transferred to my university of choice. I'm considered a sophomore which is cool.
Whats not mentioned here is that, the sooner you graduate, the sooner you can start your career and get real world experience. if you're a yr or 2 ahead of your peers at a company, you will be that much farther. Imagine this, you're 22 years old starting your first job making 45 to 50k, in 10yrs you should be making a 100k to 120 at 32 or 33 years old. Time and experience is more important in this situation.
my son is planning to graduate in 3 years. my question is he able to take is MCAT in his 3 rd year? how did u get into med school if u graduated in 3 years. post your admission details like when to apply, etc. it would be great
I did graduated one year early of high school but my worse mistake was not doing well my freshman year of college so I just started my master in biomedical sciences.. hopefully next summer Ill be applying to medical school
please do a video on how you graduated college in three years yet still had the time to build your medical school application! (ex: clinical experience, extracurriculars, etc.)
@Henry Garcia ummm... he said he had plenty of friends and that he felt a bit of fomo while they were having fun and he was in medical school. sounds like y'all are a bit jealous

Love this point of view. I graduated in 2.5 years because took college classes in HS. I don't regret it at all!
Nice! I’ll be graduating in aerospace engineering in 3 years because of the AP exams I took in HS.
@@OsirusIrdia How did you take those exams?

Awesome video!!
michael you inspire me so much and i hope i can be like you in UCLA :^)
- i wish i knew
Could you do a video about how your studying methods have changed from undergrad to medical school?
Great video, but extra side note: my eyes cannot handle the amazing quality of this video!!
All the best to complete MD/PhD also in short time. Thanks for your efforts.
Michael, what college did you attend as an undergraduate?
Hi Michael, when did you take your MCAT?
Impressive but I would have more than likely lost my mind in the process. lol
Insightful video

This is impressive, but have you LIVED at all? There is an amazing world out there beyond the classroom.
