I have to say after watching this and seeing all the trouble he has from his "budget build" of old salvaged part and materials, I think I would just buy all new to save the headache
For your LA issue, id check the bios and try switching to gen 1 or 2, fiddle with turning off everybsingle unused asset such as turnboff HD audio etc etc. Could be that the tiny little puny CPU is just having a hard time with the amount of threads?
I’ve had so many issues with the breakout boards. I don’t even bother with the server psu’s anymore except for the ones in my server cases. I have an 8 year old Evga 1600 titanium psu that has been going strong forever. That’s what powers my open air rig in my 3D print farm. Wish there were higher quality breakout boards available….maybe there are?? Thx for the video brother.
I’ve noticed that the load average correlates with the RAM on the motherboard while mining Xelis. I’ve noticed that the amount of available RAM diminishes overtime. My Mystic Miner 12 card case needs a manual reboot every ten hours otherwise the rig will go offline for a few hours when it runs out of available RAM before reconnecting on its own later after unacceptable downtime. I don’t like that so I reboot the rig when the RAM amount drops below 2GB. Hopefully the update to Xelis V2 fixes this issue that I’ve never had mining other coins.

Just saying I got the Most RGB on my FTW3 rig. Only 8 cards but way more LED. :) I am not sure how to put up a pic or video. :( Also I am building a hot setup for my rigs. Great job on videos I just got into this my self.

i think i would use some standoffs to mount the motherboard tho but everything else looks great bro i just bought my 5th evga 1080ti today to add to my small mining rig i got 2 gigabyte gtx 10708gbs 2 evga 1080tis that are memory tweaked and 1 4060ti plus a dual cpu x99 motherboard with 2 intel 2680 v4s with a total of 28 cores and 56 threads that im cpu mining with as well as gpu mining also got 64gbs of ddr4 ram in it just started to mine like a few moths ago
Did you send the invidia update to all of those cards to make sure they are all up to date on drivers? in run command type nvidia-driver-update. PDE is usually from a coding defect. Hope that helps
I know that mining is not very good these days, but I still want to make a rig. I have been following your videos for a long time. Do you think I should build a rig and if I do, which graphics cards should I use? By the way, in my country, 1 kilowatt energy costs approximately 0.076 USD.
Need help, Currently im mining ravencoin kawpow with 12 gpu rig setup with TB250-BTC PRO mobo. Somehow i could not get it all my 12 GPU to mining as 1-2 of my GPU will randomly shows N/A and not mining at all. I have tried many ways like changing the risers and cables and even using a different mobo but same model and still getting the same results. Temporary solution I have is to reduce down to 6-7 GPU. Unfortunately could not use the mobo to the fullest potential.
Wow. I had no idea that GPU mining profitability has basically fallen through the floor these days. I built my 6 GPU rig in 2016 and was mining about 10 ETH/month. ETH price back then was around $15 so I was making about $150/month. And that was with six RX480 cards. Was hoping your 12 GPU rig might be comparable to that but wow. Not even close. What about switching to mining Ravencoin or just something else? $.70/day is horrendous for a $3,000 rig. There have to be more profitable coins out there. The silver lining I guess is look at what happened to the price of ETH since 2016. So whatever you’re mining now could be worth a lot more down the road. But that was ETH, and crypto was new to the normies and it was pre 2017 mega bull run. I was looking into building another rig soon but if the profitability is so low I think I’ll pass.
you BIG ISSUE was likely caused when you tried to plug in the big power connector to the motherboard. that caused the motherboard to flex and then probably created crack/microfracture in the motherboard. PS i have done this before. just try not to bend a motherboard at all... this prob isnt the issue but maybe
Thought so too but I ended up later fixing that mobo. I took the cpu out and there was debris in the socket blocking some pins. Blew it out and reseated the cpu and turned on just fine! Agree though don’t flex the motherboard!
@@ModernMiningHub Personally i watch your build videos in the background when i am doing other task because it gives off "this old house" vibe which is a classic "guys" video, the music seems to take away from it. I think the music might be good for time lapses, like to to fill in dead space, but when played throughout the whole video, it comes off as a distraction, and the focus shifts from you to the music. But it could just be me...
@@plato1273makes sense and thanks a lot for the feedback. I always debate music or no music and I agree sometimes it can take away from the video. I’ll keep that in mind man thanks for watching!
Wow - that's just over 10 year ROI - looool - this makes zero sense whatsoever. You could be making $2.50/day w/ nodes vs $.77 w/ your $3000.. .wow - it's painful to watch.
The thought is if mining turns around this costs 10k instead of 3k but I agree risky time to build rigs. Also profits are at a couple month low so not gonna look great.

I would buy Octominer or gpu risers serve cases and 8 founder edition cards. It’s only pennies per day and the man is having fun putting it together.
gpu rigs are so 2020 - good luck but unless you have free power.... you better hope for an insane alt coin run.
Do you think gpu mining profits will bounce back in the coming months?
Not that quick
No - this is just like when CPU miners kept wondering if BTC mining was 'coming back' - even though math, and logic clearly provide the answer.
Next year I'm thinking
@@andrewjones198 why - please explain the logic ? I bet you can't.
I have 3 13x3070 rigs and 1 12 rig. Its the best way to reduce the cost for hive os.

the gpus will melt before you make your money, it can work if you use it to mine an altcoin and save it and pray to god it goes up in value
