We would be travelling from Kalam to Mahodand lake. On our way to Mahodand lake we would be exploring Ushu valley , ushu picnic Point , Paloga Pass , abpara waterfall , Chasma (abe -shifa) and Finally we will reach Mahodand lake.
It was the First week of January and we were expecting a live snowfall. Our plan was to visit this lake before it gets inaccessible because later in winter the road to Mahodand lake gets blocked due to heavy snowfall and the glacier. In the coming few weeks this lake will be frozen. Mahodand Lake lies at the foothills of the Hindu Kush mountains at an elevation of 9,400 ft. It is surrounded by meadows, mountains, and dense forests.
If i talk about the activities at Mahodand lake that includes, Boating just like we did on a freezing lake, Horse riding, fishing and off-course camping if you want to spend night here and beside that hotels where you can get something to eat.
Everyone was so happy at Lake. We enjoyed some folk songs and folk dance at this beautiful destination, and finally we came back to the hotel happily.
