Hey friends! Harvesting Right is having a huge Black Friday Sale ❄️Order your own Freeze Dryer from Harvest Right: affiliates.harvestright.com/1243.html
A good day always includes a "what's goin' on friends?" I've been begging the hubs to get a freeze dryer. Our rural area doesn't allow for fresh food donation at the county food shelf (how crazy is that, but I also understand the risk of food borne illness) so I try to give it away at work and by word of mouth, otherwise it does go to waste.
Kaylee I may have asked this in the past, but have you ever freeze dried honey? I know you don't have to but I am investigating methods for making "Honey Sugar" it takes 100% crystalized honey and then you grind and bag it. I have used my Excalibur Dehydrator and it takes a very long time because of having to keep it low heat. I have wondered if a Freeze Dryer would work, allowing the "Honey Sugar" to retain more of the benefits from the Raw Honey. If ya have time maybe take a look at Honey Sugar, I think you might be interested in the level of value added from making ground sugar out of honey. Thanks Kaylee, Blessed Days Honeystead Family...
It’s said that if you cut open a persimmon seed, it’ll tell you about the winter weather. If it looks like a spoon, it means lots of snow, a fork means a mild winter with powdery light snow and a knife means frigid winds that “cut” like a knife.
I got the mushroom blend in and I am on day 2. This weekend i want to try the peanut butter snack with it. I will look forward to other recipes. I am looking forwars to your upcoming videos.
I went down a rabbit hole of persimmon one day. I read that it’s great for hair growth. Apply or ingest. Where did I read that? No clue, lol, but I did read it!
Rassoul clay is what I use yo wash my hair now. It takes time to decrud the hair, (think no poo).it will strengthen and grow your hair out more quickly, also you can add essential oils for added benefits. I wash once a week and my hair so far is happy. It will bring out any natural curl that is in there. I used to be one of those shower twice a day and pour on the suds. The more suds the better I thought.. my hair actually feels cleaner washing less. I still bathe every day but just rinse the hair.
In Israel, where sweet persimmons are commonplace, eating more than one a day is discouraged because they are so high in fiber that can cause intestinal obstructions (bezoars)
Do you harvest persimmon honey? My granddaddy was a beekeeper & had persimmon trees close by the hives. Persimmon honey is the best! I miss him and persimmon honey so much.
I love my Viori Shampoo Bars and they have been amazing for my hair but I would love to try to make my own with rosemary in it! They say rice water is good for your hair, I hope you try to make something with the persimmon and rosemary!
Have you checked any product you have packaged up cold? I've heard that if you do that moisture is sealed in and ruins the food. I would love to know if that's true!
Unfortunately they do not have repair people to come and fix things. They have sent several replacement parts, and again not working. She bought this at the height of the pandemic after watching several TH-camrs recommending them. Very expensive paperweight that has never, never run a complete cycle, not even the bread one that they recommend. I’m sorry this machine frustrates me and people recommending them frustrate me since there is no recourse.
Dude. 😂 She doesn’t owe anybody anything. Perhaps it would be helpful to gain some understanding. She doesn’t exist to serve random internet people 24/7… she seems to live a very full and busy life. She has a life to tend to, like the rest of us. I have a hard time understanding this prevalent attitude of entitlement these days… merely because someone has an online presence - somehow that means they owe you their time/energy/etc… please realize how absurdly silly that is, and practice more kindness and consideration toward your fellow humanity.

Those are Fuyu persimmons. My favorite!
How do you freeze dry eggs? Raw? Scrambled? Fried? Poached?
Poached is an easy way to cook without oil.

Save yourself from Harvest Right, 82yo mother bought one that has not worked from day one. Just can your food and go.
That's a shame. They have excellent support and would have helped!
