    No mention that the woman (shoplifter) slapped the storeowner first when challenged on trying to exit with a load of things she hadn't paid for. How would it be different if the storeowner was Black? Please base your thinking on evidence based reality and not on racist stereotypes.

      @@olanola2988 It is unreasonable to say whatever you want and call it "perspective". You would have noted that at one point the woman screams "rape" several times. Was that based on reality? Was it a matter of perspective? And I would maintain my same objectivity if it was an African/Black shopkeeper restraining a White or Asian shoplifter. It is not about race, but about behaviour.

      Because she did not!!. She tried to push pass him with exchanged hair packets.
      At that stage he could of grabbed back his hair, that would have been the easiest thing to do, but he chose to manhandled her back into the shop. She then started struggling, hitting with basket. He then put BOTH HIS HANDS around her neck in a throttle hold. Where the basket broke.
      After he let go & whilst he was calling the police claiming theif & assault she was hitting him with the handle of the basket for trying to strangle her...

    • @martycrow
      @martycrow ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@1Kweenk I guess we all see what we want to see. Or close our eyes too, when it suits.
      A few facts:
      1) the question of exchanging goods depends on both seller and buyer agreeing - *not* the 'customer' shouting out "I'm taking this in exchange"
      2) health and beauty products are most commonly not exchanged in UK
      3) this woman attempted to walk out of the shop with the unpaid for goods - that's covered by the Criminal Attempts Act so treated as theft
      4) when the shopkeeper blocked her exit, she slapped him, and started getting aggressive
      5) the woman is 31, probably a mother, and aunt and someone with family and friends who love and look up to her - why does she show so little respect or self control? Would you behave like this?
      6) the shopkeeper has come out and said he doesn't want her charged, offered an apology, expressed regret for his action. You may not believe him. Yes, he may be reacting to the threats. If so, what does that say about the 'community' in Peckham
      7) Since the early 1980s (following riots and the Scarman report) schemes have been created (notably under Ken Livingston) to help start and sustain Black owned businesses. Hair and beauty products especially for Black women is a lucrative market. Why are there so few? What happened?

      This was an dispute over a refund which ended up pretty nasty (both parties were doing wrong, no doubt) but, & a BIG BUT, he could of killed her, this is no joke, Joker!! That neck hold is unforgivable😡, he lost control of self & mind.. I know those packets of hair.. the average price is £5 a packet.. She had 3!! That's £15 vs his shop closing for 2 days. And why aren’t we talking about the real issue of these entitled shoplifters who think they can brazenly and casually walk out of any shop with whatever they like and then have the nerve to get angry when confronted?? They do this in black owned beauty stores as well so its nothing to do with race.

I am black and I am Nigerian and I am 100% against that woman, she should be the one contactingthe authorities for her refund, she is just a thief, she went to his store for a refund which was denied probably because business are obligated to refund a customer if and only if the product they purchased is not as described or it is faulty and she tried walking out of the store with more items unpaid for, according to the law in the UK here, you are allowed to physically restrain someone who is trying to commit a crime, the video doesn't start from there, she took the products and tried to walk out of the store, the store owner tried to stop her from going out and she hit him multiple times!
