Love the x mod sound. The mustang build is coming along pretty smooth. Gear heads performance seems like a great place. I’ve seen demonology there quite a bit. But overall great videos. Great video... Take my money MagnaFlow. I'll be adding a set of made in USA Stainless Works long tube headers and using the free-flow resonator, no x-pipe. Leaning towards the sleeper angle, don't need the extra noise. Perfect compliment to my Roush 750 hp supercharger. MagnaFlow nailed it!

Initially I was thinking of doing a mid muffler delete on the Challenger I just bought, but now I'm thinking of investing into a different exhaust system. I'm definitely impressed with the quality and effort magnaflow put into their exhaust designing this kit with drone cancelation, and I know sound is subjective but to me at least, it doesn't sound as good as roush or corsa extreme mufflers. My set up is longtubes, x pipe, resonators into roush and it sounds incredible
All great ways to go.. yes sound is subjective for sure! I will say that it sounds better in person than on camera ..

I still think about u 50% of the time when i rev my car. The xmod is def better then my mid muffler delete. Im also getting my long tubes from stainless works installed and that paired up with my xmod is gonna sound nuts

Good video review of the product. That is a very well thought out, well engineered system that seems to have thought of everything, Exhaust sound is an incredibly personal preference so it's good to know that there's a system that is this flexible. I know the Magnaflow sound is very popular - especially with Mustang owners judging by what I hear at local cruise-ins - but it's just not my preference. It seems like most of the cars that I like the sound have Flowmasters.

I have a nearly identical S550, including color. The stock active exhaust is just too good to justify this upgrade, IMO. The turbo build changes that of course but that’s not ever going to be an issue for my NA car. 😁 Cool stuff, looking forward to more content.
I agree. I might do a resonater X-Pipe or H-Pipe replacement, but I'll be keeping the stock active exhaust on mine. I recently traded my '17 GT 6-spd base model for a 2020 GT 6-spd with 301A and active exhaust. It is a loud good sounding system for a stock system.

so have you ever confirmed its 3" all the way through? i have seen a lot of mufflers that have 3" inlets and outlets but the perforated cores inside the mufflers necked down to around 2.5"
that's not 3" all the way. 2.5" pipes come off the stock headers, and this kit did not include headers or the price would be nearly doubled.

Did you notice and power loss with the mid muffler off of the mustang?
RacerX, I just got a widebody scat pack and was wondering what quad tips you would recommend? Paint color is granite. Not a fan of the single exhaust on each side with the chrome/silver housing. Would like to have ones that have carbon fiber surrounding them but not married to that if there's ones you recommend that don't have that feature. Money is not an issue, at least not for something like this. I'm getting a ceramic coat done June 2 and the company I'm using says they'll clamp them on for low cost if I have them at the time I drop off the car.

Hi RacerX, have you had any problem with the active exhaust on this setup? I installed their street setup on my 21 GT and transferred my active exhaust actuators, and they can’t seem to hold quiet mode. I get an error modes not available and it flips into the regular “standard” mode. I’ve done the relearn twice.
Great sounding exhaust. I believe the Coyote produces amazing exhaust sounds whether running stock or aftermarket. I know you hear this often, but that red interior in your Stang is off the chart. My only disappointment was not hearing the active exhaust open. I'm adding cutouts to my 2018 300C mainly for tracking use. Surprisingly my 300C has a nice factory rumble which was. Unexpected when I purchased it new. I don't want louder until I'm at the track. The cutouts should handle that. Other than cold air and a petal commander. With only 18,000 miles. I don't want to lose my factory warranty so a supercharger will come later. I'm looking forward to your Mustang build. I love my 300C, but I'm also a big Mustang fan. You have a great site for enjoying both.

@@RacerX9 Instead of following my normal plan of trading cars every 3 years. My plan is to keep my 300C because I enjoy it everyday. It's starting to sound like by 2035 I may need to purchase an EV car, but I'll keep my 300C..

Hi RacerX, do you ever have to contact uconnect or Detroit directly with problems? Installed UAQ Uconnect radio in 2015 Challenger RT and sport mode stopped, dealership shrugs shoulders. Just curious who to talk to about BCM. Thanks!!

I just got myself a 2020 GT Premium California Special, it has the active exhaust as well and most of those upgraded systems are between 2300 and 2500 just because they have the valves. this being 3100 with all the other things you get I don't think it is crazy overpriced. I just wish I was able to afford it Lol.
RacerX, while I'm waiting for my C8 Z06 (if it's ever revealed) I'm looking at a '21 charger for a daily. Either a hellcat or redeye. If my future plans are just headers, upper pulley, and tune for 93 would you recommend a hellcat or a redeye? I don't really want to mess with E85, fuel pump, or fuel lines either. What would be your recommendation?
Get a Redeye.. do a 285 upper only and keep it on 93 .. best street setup for daily driving 👍

The ATAK has a different pitch which is higher... perhaps a bit more of a notchy sound.. I’m not sure how else to describe it 🤔
@@RacerX9 I actually have the Ataks. I'm very happy with them. Deeper than Corsas. I know videos don't capture true sound though. I've watched some other videos of the x mod that sound horrible. That's why I'd love to hear them in person.

I didn’t think I was going to get any but after driving it around it feels stronger which is strange because I didn’t notice it on either of the Mopars but for some reason I did on the Mustang .. I have been very impressed
Great video man! Just wanted to ask, how tall are you? I had a mustang back in 2015, but my only gripe was that I’m 6’2 260. Now I’m trying to decide between getting another or just going with the Challenger which seems to have far better comfort overall for me.

No dynos this time around.. they had a car on the dyno .. but I'm guessing that I did pick up a bit of horsepower with this
