    Is it possible that the ECU can cause an engine knocking ?
    Yes or no ?

    Good job!
    Any advice how to open these PCMs more easily and with minimum damage? I had VERY hard time opening mine, and there are several screwdriver signs on its periphery. :)

    well i think i may have found the drivers for the 2005 pt cruiser. right where you said they would be. they are alot smaller than what i was looking for. i am used to seeing the large drivers. but i can seem to locate the part numbers for the drivers.

      chrysler uses masked parts usually in those years.

    I’m working on repairing my 07 jeep Wrangler PCM. The parts that are fried on mine are “ON 640 g18 n40b” my PCM is the 5094149AF.. Any idea which replacement part I need to use?

    @ECU Repair: Does this repair take care of loss of connection to radio? High circuit brake switch? ABS and traction control light issues?

    • @ecurepair
      @ecurepair  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      doubtful. definently not the radio. That wouldnt be handled by the ecu

    • @ecurepair
      @ecurepair  ปีที่แล้ว

      What leads you to believe the ecu is the problem? Its it one or two or is it all of them? It would be pretty rare the ecu is the problem to shutdown ALL the injectors.

    Safest way to split the Ecu? And what size Torx are those. Has a cracked plug I wanna swap cases

      T15.
      You have to be very careful. Its loaded with small smd components all around the edge. Do not pry with screwdrivers. Do not pry deeply, and stay away from the bottom corner on side with the 1 bolt hole. The main chip (large BGA) is there and easily damaged from flexing the board.

    i have a 2005 pt cruiser pcm for a coil driver problem. can not see any typical coil driver on the top of the board with the 4 connectors sticking up. can they possibly be on the underside of the board. the board is very difficult to pull out of the jelly conformal goo. thanks

      @Keyworks ECU Repair are there a specific one for this pcm? I'm about to use one from a 2007 optima 2.7L pcm. Same size and don't have any numbers on it as the original doesn't also

    • @ecurepair

      Probably be fine. Not sure which one is in the optima ecu but usually this package type are fairly similar.
