Literally half-way through this video I went to my local thrift joint and hiding behind a bunch of old alarm clocks I found a Olympus MJU II for 3 freaking dollars!! I literally couldn't believe it when I saw it. So happy I went to check and I wouldn't have gone without this video to give me the inspiration!
It warms the heart to know that film bargains can still be found 😁 I also thrifted my first Nikon L35 for a similar price, but like 4-5 years ago! Good to see another thrift video (you could make an insane supercut by now of all the craziest finds)

A good alternative to the nikon 35af is the chinon infrafocus 35f almost the same, if not the same camera...the picture quality is really good and it has a 2.8 38mm lens with an filtermount on it!
I thrifted 3 cameras this weekend for 10 euros. A Fuji dl1000, a Yashica half 17 EE Rapid and a Minolta Hi Matic S. Unfortunately the Fuji zooms but won’t flash and fire the shutter, the Yashica….well…beautiful design but that Rapid film system….the Minolta Hi Matic is the gem of the thrift, clean and working. Replaced the light seals and is ready to put a roll of film through it. Looks a bit like the L35AF. Love your thrift videos!
Consistency ALWAYS wins! People tell me they dislike thrifting because they never find anything and sometimes think I lie about my scores. When I ask them how often they go, they usually say maybe a few times a month. I try to stop at one thrift store daily on my way home from work. You’ll rarely find anything if you only go once in a while.
Love the thrift videos!!! Haven't found anything of note lately but I wouldn't even be a film photographer if I hadn't thrifted a Minolta X370 with a 50mm pancake lens a couple of years ago. ✌🏻✨
bro you have such better thrift stores then in my city (SLC, UT). I cant even find simple point and shoots. Or prob everyone is watching your vids here haha

I found an L35 AF for $5 @ a thrift and was only able to put 2 rolls through it before it died on me 😭
