- Our love affair with Scotland continues this week as the scenery levels up! As we head west the landscape becomes even more breathtakingly beautiful. In this weeks episode we explore Glen Coe, Glen Etive, Oban and The Isle of Mull. We share more of our tips for travelling in a van, Jon's terrible jokes and random obsessions continue, I set myself a new wildlife spotting mission and as per usual Jon pushes things a little too far which results in a 'different' tour of Oban. So strap in and enjoy the ride!

John's joke of the week should be a regular spot 😂😂😂! Awesome episode as always, Jess needs re-hab for her addiction 😂😂😂!❤
😂😂😂😂 will have to start a crowdfund for it 😂👍💙
Yeah but less of the risky arse waving - seriously - caught a glimpse last week and thought I was gonna get hit with a double whammy this week!
Thanks 😁😁💙
😂😂
Yeap we must have a joke of the week directly after tool box Tuesday, big spanner Saturday or Snap On Sunday.
OMG you guys are getting better and better! Just makes my Saturdays! ….. quote of the video “it’s little Jon not long Jon” 😂 Jess your so patient and Jon your priceless! xx
😂😂😂😂 thanks lis 😁😁🥰💙
If you guys haven't been to the North West of Scotland you're in for a real treat when you do, It just gets more and more amazing the more north west you go ❤

👏👏👏 Without doubt my favourite thing to see in the wild is you two!! The videography and content is absolutely amazing, very impressive! John keep the “plant” photography and jokes going 🤣😂👏👏👏

Absolutely fabulous this morning...your films and antics are like a breath of fresh air on a Saturday morning...and again you both deserve all these lovely comments you are getting from everyone ..David
Thanks very much David 💙
Love your videos - informative, professionally made and the rapport between you two is just phenomenal! So funny! 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks very much, that’s lovely of you to say 😁😁
I am sitting here crying my eyes out with laughter watching John in his kilt ,absolutely brilliant
😂😂😂 Jon and little Jon 🤦♀️
I was watching the new episode on the TV in the living room, my girlfriend joined me and saw your channel for the first time. Her reaction and exact words were:”Flo, you are exactly like HIM, you should get together for a few pints and say to each other stupid jokes, me and his lady can go and have some peace and quiet.” 😂😂😂😂😂😂 LOL
Pmsl brilliant😂😂😂😂😂😂
John, you had me in stitches with your Freedom sketch . If the Scott's had had bungees, then the battles could have had a different ending. Great vlog as usual, Guy's.😂😂
😂😂😂 the bungee would end all wars 👌👍😂
When the temperature is minus anything "little Jon" is all you're going to get.
Safe journey home.
😂😂😂😂 he’s little Jon if it’s cold or warm
@@truebluetravellers😂
As someone who is currently building a hooklift to use "around the house" I appreciate the small roll-off-roll-on bin and all the other equipment!
👏 see she just doesn’t understand these things 🤷♂️👍👌
Love you guys! A1 content - 100K subs before you know it hopefully. The cream always rises to the top.
Thanks very much, lovely of you to say and we very much hope so 🤞😁👍💙
Super sights, great fun as always to brighten a wet and dark Saturday morning 😂❤️👍🇬🇧
Thanks mate, it’s a proper grim day today hey 🌧️
Most excellent Saturday morning viewing.
Great editing, too.
Who would have thought the Isle of Mull was a sanctuary for mechanical rarities and excellence? Although i didn't see any signs for tracked dampers crossing..
Looking forward to following the journey. Travel is many things. But you always make it fun.
Safe and happy travels 👍
😂😂😂 I’d love to see a heard of tracked dumpers crossing, that would go to top of my list 😂😂
I had a bald eagle sweep past my windshield with its full 6 ft wingspan extended, right into a dive across the highway to an unexpecting prairie dog in Boulder Colorado. So fierce and graceful at the same time. Amazing!
Bloody hell, unbelievable that
I get so happy when I see you. You seem engaged, happy and joking together in a funny way. Love and Respect from Norway.
What a lovely thing to say thank you 💙 so glad you enjoyed it 💙
Wonderful video, and I'm reminded of my favorite Scots joke: Englishman asks, "Is anything worn under the kilt?" Scotsman replies, "Noo. It's all in perfect working order"
Looking forward to more adventures. Thank you 🙏
😂😂😂 brilliant
Ohh what a beautiful country Scotland looks😍
And thank you for another hilarious episode .. penguins and little John not long John 🤣
I should not have watched your videos on a train with headphones on, I was that weirdo laughing loudly (I completely lost it at that Jess) 🤣
I must say though John, I was impressed with that mini tractor dumper .. that would be handy on my property👍🏽
😂😂😂 thanks 😁😁😁 it was a gem of a dumper hey 👌👌👍
Jon and Jess another great vid . Jon your joke remind when I had the exam . Doc puts the glove on and says . Right bob don’t get a hard on , I say my names not bob , doc says “no but mine is “ 😂😂😂😂😂😂 sorry Jess that was 1 for us lads . Great job * keep looking forward * ❤
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 absolutely brilliant 😂😂
I really love your channel and wanted to say thank you. You 2 are so wonderful together. Your channel is informative, funny and beautifully recorded. I look forward to every new episode on Saturdays! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! ❤
Hi Jim, this is so incredibly kind of you thank you so much, means a lot to us 💙 Merry Christmas and the happiness of new years to you 💙💙💙
A wonderful video guys. Fantastic scenery, some great facts (John facts 😂‘there’s a WHSmiths’ 😂) and a light dusting of tools. Brilliant 🤩. Shame we didn’t see the otters or the telehandler 😢. Really enjoyed the Scotland series. Thanks for the laughs 👍🏻👍🏻
😂😂😂😂Thanks for coming along with us jim 😁💙
Hi guys I did a similar road trip around Scotland in my old triumph TR4 in the seventies and discovered a place called Applecross on the west coast opposite the Isle of Skye you go across the highest pass in Scotland to get to it well worth the detour, great videos/ humour you two.X
Very good episode. 9/10.
Would have been 10/10 if we got to see that telehandler... 🤗
Brilliant video a bit of Jon & jess and Carol & Ken on a Saturday morning you can't beat it , have a great weekend guys
Thanks Russell 😁😁😁😁
OMG I Can't stop laughing..😅.. the little red number has left me scared 😂.. ...the poor deer that had to witness it have all had to have therapy... and that's not cheap in Scotland.... its very DEER..😅

Another brilliant video again guys. I absolutely love Scotland and brings back memories of my travels there. Shame you missed the white tailed eagles though 😢
Thanks😁😁😁 it will be a place for our memories too 🏴💙
I laughed for 2 minutes straight at that joke!😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
It’s little John, not long John 😂😂
As for the joke Jon, I laughed 😂
Great content you two. Looking forwards to the next one
Safe travels from this Scotsman 🏴
😂😂😂 Thanks billy 💪😁🏴💙
we had the same thought about Mull, we visited a few years ago and was really surprised about the size of the place. We also visited Iona and Staffa - both very worth the visit. Oban btw is pronounced Oh-bin just for reference. We are increadibly proud to call home and also the pleasure of the beauty of it. It has been a joy to watch you on your travels and the laughter . John's jokes are suitably aweful - and brilliant
😂😂😂 thanks Willie, it’s an amazing place for sure, I need to work on my pronunciations, 🤦♀️ wait till we head off for the next trip I’m dreading the names of some of them places 😂
Fantastic finale to the Scottish tour loved the plant tour if you know what I mean keep up the good work guys.❤❤
😂😂😂 love the “plant” scenery 👌👌👌👍
Absolutely love you pair, and John I think you should start "bloke joke of the week" just to wind Jess up 😂
😂😂😂 love that idea
You can never unsee that kilt and vest!
😂😂😂😂 so lucky 😂
Hi guys love your story. Keep it going as it’s natural and beautiful to watch. Jon, you are a really genuine funny guy. I love your jokes mate. Also keep plant spotting mate. I’m a hire controller in Glasgow for Eagle plant hire and it’s funny seeing your excitement when you spot it. I’m the same I get it lol. Jess your comedy and astute reporting is brilliant. Love it guys. Peace and love. Joe n Jo💕
Ah thanks guys that’s so lovely of you to say, 🥰🥰
@@truebluetravellers you’re welcome guys. ps. I live in North Ayrshire. Actually lived in Norfolk 5yrs amongst other places around the UK and world. Scotland stole my heart a few years ago whilst doing the NC500, what a beautiful place, thank you for sharing the other amazing places with us..... love you guys, see you next week
Thanks Sharon 😁😁😁💙
John you looked like the porridge oats man in your vest and 'kilt' lol
😂😂😂😂 uncanny hey, someone photoshopped No on the cereal packet, so funny 😂
Absolutely brilliant camera work and editing! And Banter of course!
Second best quote of the episode , "Crocs and Socks"!!
Love it, Thanks for the giggle.
😂😂😂😂 thanks Martin 😁😁
Jon and Jess, we are loving watching your travels. Can't wait for upgrades then the German Christmas markets and white Christmas in Norway.
Thanks Andrew, we can’t wait to share too 😁😁💙
Brilliant content yet again Jess and John. I look forward to watching it again later with Lynda. I noticed in previous clips that you have motorcycles and you mentioned motorcycling a couple of times. Now we love your camper vids but being bikers ourselves for over 50 years we would love the odd motorbike related trip. Just an idea.
Thanks David, definitely mate we want to get a few bike trips in next year for sure 👍👍
Absolutely loved the new John cross dressing section. You looked stunning in your tartan miniskirt 😂
Can't wait to see what next week's episode brings 😁
😂😂😂 why thank you 😂
You two are quite simply the best. What an absolute blast of fun.
Thanks very much Ken 😁👍
Looks like you had an amazing time. It would be good to know what sort of cost it was to get away to Scotland
To be honest we didn’t really spend much, ferry to mull £45 return, parking costs were less than £10 food was normal, no camping fees, £5 for 100litres of water, £90 for all tourist attractions we did so most expensive part was fuel really, so all in all unbelievable 😁😁
Yet again an outstanding video, great editing with the added bonus of some interesting Tittles at the beginning. You two I think are at the top of your game with content, humour and Drone footage. See you next week. 👍👏👏❤️💙
Thanks Stewart that means so much to us as sometimes we get annoyed that we could of done better on the videos, we feel we can do so much better but so glad people ar enjoying them 😁😁💙💙
Totally agree with this lovely comment..David
Thanks David 🥰🥰
Me three. Totally agree. Y’all are bringing your A game. Thanks for a lovely start to my Saturday morning. Really brightened my day.

Hi another amazing video from
You both with such beautiful breathtaking scenery of Scotland, I absolutely loving time all of your videos! 😊
Thanks very much dean 😁😁
EPIC 😂😂
Whenever people ask us "where our fav country is" I always say Scotland 🏴 as the beauty is Exceptional 😍
Green Glens to yr left, and azure blue waters and white sandy beaches on the right, dissected by a single track road..
We loved the penguins (puffins) in Scotland and the seals 🦭 and dolphins 🐬 and leaping Salmon 🍣 but Walking through Kylesku one stormy night we were stood a few feet from a massive Stag 🦌 grazing in a villagers garden 😍
Scotlands on par with Norway 🇳🇴
🚐💨🏴❤️
Amazing, you summed Scotland up perfectly there 👏👏👏🏴💙
We are watching this episode of your tour of Scotland in the middle of the desert in the UAE. We (Andy &Mira) are in our overland Y62 sat around the camp fire surrounded by sand dunes it's cold around 20oC lol. We love your VLOG and you have inspired us to add to our camper vehicle family we are going to look at getting an off road camper truck. Keep doing what you do. We look forward to the next episode. ENJOY and carry on overlanding all the best from the sand dunes of the UAE.
Now this is cool, I love thinking of things like this, the fact that we made a video in Scotland and you guys are sat watching it in uae blows my mind, thanks guys 😁😁😁💙💙
Love a cuppa and your video on a Saturday morning, however I nearly choked on my tea when I saw you running up that hill in a vest and kilt Jon 🤣😅🤣, brilliant! Jess, the long Jon comment had me roaring too! looking forward to seeing what van changes/amendments you have in store for your Christmas adventure.
😂😂😂 Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed it 😁💙
Hi John & Jess 👋 Re; favourite animal. When I visited Bonny Scotland in January of this year I went Haggis spotting, you might not be aware but it’s a small and tough beastie, which of course it has to be in order to survive in that challenging environment. Found all over the northern parts of Scotland. The wee beasties are very good swimmers, not easy to spot but on my very first encounter I fell in love 🥰 Fact (I know John loves his facts) They tend to have shorter legs on one side and longer on the other. This is to facilitate running around the mountains. The ones that run around the mountains clockwise have shorter legs on the right side, the left running haggi have legs that are shorter on the left. I bet you didn’t know that!!! 😂 I hope you both spotted one 🤔😳🤪
😂😂😂 🤔🤔🤔 sounds like ur on the windup to me 😂😂😂
Hahaha..Love the kilt..Last time i seen legs like that, was on Rod Hulls emu 😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂 brilliant 👍👍
Top of my bucket list now - Bonny Scotland. Thank you so much.
PS glad little Johnny kept warm and didn’t peep out 😂
😂😂😂😂 thanks Pauline 😁
Otters are also one of my favourite animals and top of my list to see in the wild. This last Summer I finally saw one just two miles from my home. I returned to same spot a few days later with my camera in the hope that I might see it again. Sadly I didn't. What I did end up seeing was almost as amazing. No otter that day, but I saw and photographed my first kingfisher. Not only that, but I found a wren's nest with three chicks. I spent quite a while filming and photographing them and the parents. That was a good day.
I still hope to see and photograph the otter again one day. As well as finally getting some pictures of the local dolphins.
Wow that sounds incredible, just something so amazing about seeing any animal in the wild hey 😁
Other than the complete lack of a freshly siliconed urinal this week's video was great ;)
Seriously, the cinematography is really good, and as always it was light and fun. Watching the auto-generated subtitles trying to decipher your accents is a hoot, however, and often leaves me explaining more to my wife (English is not her first language) than if I'd left them off! :). Talking of which, it's currently -13 here, so I feel kinda smug listening to you complain about -5 ;)
Looking forward to what's next!
😂😂😂 -13 🥶🥶🥶🥶 what are we doing, I think I might genuinely freeze like this emoji 🥶😂😂😂
Love you guys, Jon your barmy as box of frogs.

Brilliant video guys!!! Job well done!!! Even the Scottish Spirit you create in this video. I was absolutely surprise and loughing when you say "Travelling in socks and crocks" " His weapon is a bungee" and most of all running with a "Flip" that I reckon it almost landed John butt on the ground hahaha 😂😂😂😂😂
Anyway, it's freezing out there. Take care always and stay safe ❤
😂😂😂😂 love having a laugh and glad you enjoyed it 😁😁💙💙

Warthogs are hilarious in person and my favourite. I would love to see an Ostrich. They are much faster than you would think when they run in the wild.
Seeing an ostrich running full pelt would be something to behold!! We absolutely have to get to Southern Africa and see the wildlife 🤩
Well have to say John look forward to seeing you on the packets on Scot’s porridge oats 🤣🤣 another great vlog xx

Just love watching your videos guys but esp your Scotland trip. Gutted you didn’t come up to the top of the highlands where I live . We have white sanded turquoise water beaches, places you can pan for gold, more whisky distilleries for Jess to try castles, caves and cairns galore oh and outdoor sea pools which I’m sure will remind you of Australia 🥶 and that’s just some of the variety of treasures for yous to see.
Keep up the fantastic work guys and loving the jokes too 😂
Sounds like a dream 🥰 we will get there one day for sure 😁💙
Hysterical with the sneaky Plant spotting 😂... and I'm loving this Scottish travel series, thank you :)
Thanks Pete 😁😁😁
Love seeing you continuing to explore and enjoy our incredible country. My favourite animal encounter is whilst kayaking off Barra in the Outer Hebrides, you are guaranteed Grey Seal interaction, we had a 2 hour interaction with one particular large grey seal who followed us for that entire time, at times coming up as close to 1 metre for our kayaks. It’s a must do on your Outer Hebrides bucket list, especially off the beaches in Eoligarry at the north end of Barra. You can also watch the planes land at the airport there, the runway is the incredible white beach!
That sounds amazing, it’s things like this I love as obviously the animal wanted to be there and was interested in you, incredible 😁👍
I live in Scotland, so know how privileged we are to have such beautiful scenery so close by
However don't expect the single track roads or Tobermory to be that quiet in the summer.
No I bet, from what I’ve heard the whole of Scotland is a bit different in summer
you guys are great from the builds to the adventures, its all great. Scottish John had me cracking up too, great job guys keep it up.

A ferry tip for both of you. Instead of buying the ticket from the docks themselves or on the boat. Find the nearest small local shop and 9/10 you can buy a return ticket for the ferry. It's cheaper than a 1 way almost and you can chose anytime to use the 'return' part of it. I think it was to be within a year or purchase. I've about 3 for different ferries still tucked in the dash
Brilliant little tip that mate, thanks 😁👍
Telehandlers are awsum...... seen one that had a 360 turntable 👍👍👍...... plus so glad yer enjoying Scotland..... so funny listening to you pronouncing place names.... 😂😂 👍🏴
😂😂 oh yes that’s what I’m talking about frank 👌 love it
Hello guys, just been catching up on your videos and came across this Scottish adventure, bizarrely so my partner and I did the NC500 in October 2023 having just self converted a ford transit custom (I too am a tool buff, you can never have enough tools, my saying John "its not about need but desire"). And have to agree whole heartedly with you, Scotland is truly beautiful. My partner who is from Prague was in awe, this September we are heading back to her home for a 2 week road trip in amongst trip to Cornwall (lands end) and other locations.
Looking forward to catching up on your adventures.
All the best Roy and Radka.

Jess, because you have a passion for otters may I suggest you seek out the film ' Ring of bright water'. Filmed in Scotland and a bit of a tearjerker but give it a try. I watched this film in the cinema when I was about 10 and now I'm 65. It's old but rest assured its in colour.
😂😂😂😂 thanks for the recommendation I’ll look it up 😁😁
Here in Japan, I've seen pheasants, raccoon dogs (tanuki), Japanese macaque monkeys, foxes, 'kamoshika' (Japanese serow), deer (both the 'shika' and Ezo deer) and a fleeting glance at a brown bear. My favourite of all are the swallows. One this year, that decided he'd like to sleep in our living room at night whilst his partner sat on the eggs in the nest across the road and then brought all the family (mother and fledglings) to do the same for about 2 weeks. He and I were big friends and he'd follow me around outside and if I was in the garage, he was in the garage. Seriously, I'm not joking or exaggerating. The only downside was I had to get up at the crack of dawn to open the patio door onto the balcony so that they could get out and go about their day. The reason I believe is because he was a chick that was born and bred on a nest on our balcony which was very low and close to the door that we use to go in and out. He was fascinated from the time he was a chick and his mother got so used to us that she wouldn't bat an eyelid if when we walked about 30cm in front of her as she rested on the outside balcony light. He has a very identifiable white dot on his wing so it was easy to recognise him.
Blimey that sounds amazing. I love it when I hear people talk so passionately about encountering animals, it’s exactly how we feel too 😍😍😍
I just have to leave a second comment...that was so damned enjoyable and made me laugh out loud several times. Jon is a bloody lunatic and I mean that in the nicest way possible! Surround me with lunatics like Jon and cheerful people like Jess ANYTIME. Sorry Jon, the track dump Kubota was of no interest, but the Ifor Williams heavy duty plant trailer with NATO coupler it was sitting on was scrutinised instantly in great detail! I think I fell in love in this video. Not with the trailer, Jon or Jess, but with Tobermory and the Isle of Mull! Absolutely beautiful!
Pedant here 🙋🏼♀️😂 - it's Glen Et-eh-ve not Eht-eeve. Beautiful place and you must come back in Summer! Great trip guys. I saw my first otter in the wild on Mull. Literally crossed the road in front of us. Lovely place. Also it's normally pronounced Oh-bin not O-ban😂. You guys are great presenters though, honestly some TV channel should snap you up!
😂😂😂 so jealous you got to see one cross the road although I still think it’s crazy that they are just off crossing the road 😂😂🥰,
Thanks for the comment, it’s so lovely of you to say 😁💙
I was also going to comment on the pronunciation of loch etive.
Where did you park up on loch etive ?
Not far off the main road down by the stream 😁
@@truebluetravellers wasn’t sure if it was down at Taynuilt, there’s a lot of wild camping with vans down there.
Och aye the noo!👋 Another excellent vlog. 10/10 for your homage to patriotic Scotland Jon. I can relate to your passion for plant machinery.. Jess, It's definitely a 'bloke' thing! Next time you're up Jess, you'll need to learn how to make porridge. That would certainly have kept your cockles warm all day!
Best leave the info narrative to Jess. Good effort though Jon. Glad to see someone else pulled you up for your Oban pronunciation 😂 Anyhoo, great series, safe journeys, excited for the next adventures, take care ❤🏴
Thanks Bryan 😁 oh I do love a bit of porridge but my Aussie accent is no good for pronouncing stuff 😂👍👍👍😁💙

I’m so pleased you enjoyed your Scottish adventure it’s a shame you didn’t manage to get to experience the wild haggis safari, I especially enjoyed Jon’s culinary delights and the observations of the plant equipment around the beautiful Isle of Mull, I spent a week there and lived on seafood and single malt, fabulous! The one thing to remember when you go to Scotland is try to avoid midge season, it’s a bit grim for the unwary, lovely editing and music looking forward to your next adventure thank you and happy travels.
Thanks very much John, much appreciated mate, yeah we have heard allot about the midge season and to be honest we were dreading it a bit going this time of year with the cold but I think it worked out perfectly, quite and beautiful 😁👍
