Jazakallah respected Mufti saheb. I wish we could have more such respectable discourses. This group of Ulema are certainly leading the way, thanks for being shining lights in this dark time.

The speaker conveniently forgot to mention the fight between Omar and Saad bin ubadah.! What a mockery of Allah swt, the prophet (s) .

I find this explanation problematic. Especially as the immediate family was not involved in the Shura. I also believe the Prophet would not leave the ummah in confusion. The Shia argument seems more valid. However it is something that will not be resolved in our lives. Respect for the attempt of reconciliation it is greatly needed in these times.

This is something I could not comprehend that my Rasoolulah (SAWW) left the ummah without a successor.. it defies logic, history, personality of Prophet..
And all while the Prophet (SAWW) body had not turned cold yet. .. then they're literally arguing?? MashAllah.
And Hadhrat Ali (AS) wasn't present?????
Shia school of thought makes absolute sense Alhamdullilah.
People claim shias made a group... but clearly the split happened here.. just because they're majority doesn't mean that was the original way.

Mashallah this is what we need discussion between learned scholars not debate between TH-cam personalities.

When was the saqifah of ansar held? Was it on the same day the Prophet died?
