The score was closer than it really was. I was in the building for the game. DG missed a wide open TD, the refs blew the int and several PI no calls and we didn’t execute in the red zone twice. With better execution Oregon wins this game by at least 14. That said, OSU is a great team and one to fear come conference championship/playoffs come. As a Duck fan, I’m rooting for Penn State in two weeks when OSU goes to Happy Valley. I’d much rather play Penn St than rematch with OSU
Actually, I don't think they did get out-played. They just made two very serious mistakes at the end of the game. I'm a huge Duck fan but Ohio State had the game in their grasp when they reached the 27 yd line with 34 seconds and one T.O. left. They should have run the ball then called the TO and kicked the FG. But they didn't and O gets the much deserved win.
I’m a Buckeye fan but Oregon is clearly the better team and the better overall program right now. This loss killed our season and likely will set back the program for years. Congrats to Oregon, though, they have great fans and they are due to win a natty.
They all whine about the OPI call which is garbage. Their receiver 100% pushed off to get separation. There’s no denying that. If the refs get the int call correct and DG hits a wide open Tez in the red zone this is a double digit win for Oregon. The 12th man was also a huge factor that surprisingly isn’t talked about as much as you’d think. I was there Saturday and that place was louder than I’ve ever seen before in all my years of going to games there. Great win. Just hope we don’t get complacent and drop a game we shouldn’t.
I think the difference in physicality can be easily referenced by how much pressure was put on each quarterback. Ohio state's quarterback was hurried and swarmed a number of times more than Oregon's. So I would be curious to know what metric or eyeball test you are using to say that Ohio State was the more physical team, because I honestly can't think of one. The stats and the eyeball test both point towards at least an equal amount on both sides.
Why OSU didn't come after Gabriel is a puzzle to me. But they must have thought Oregon would be ready for that and were afraid of him dumping the ball off for chunks of yardage. And maybe they would have. They've been doing that the last few games.
Do you watch the whole game? That wasn't really a fumble out of the ball was stolen from him by Derek Harmon... He didn't even try to tackle him. I think what inspired it was that they didn't call a replay on the so-called reception... Jeff basa actually intercepted the ball and the take another look at it.. Terrible officiating. Ohio State should not have been up 7 to nothing to start this game
Lanning shouldn’t have to call a TO in that situation. The booth should have called for a review. Bassa came out of the play with the ball. That has to be reviewed
I'm glad others aren't just calling this another "fluke" win like the last one in Columbus. OSU certainly played well enough to win but they didn't. They made 2 key mistakes on that last drive that enabled Oregon to keep them away from FG range til time ran out. That's on them. Oregon did enough to win. GO DUCKS!
Once again the media is completely overlooking the Badgers. They have scored ninety points while giving up only seven points in the past two weeks. Oregon needs to take them seriously. Sheila
Completely agree Sheila. Oregon traveling into a cold Wisconsin venue to play a Badgers team that’s looking good - as a Duck fan, I’m absolutely paying attention.
Come man. Ohio State wasn’t more physical than Oregon. The refs were actually helping the Buckeyes that shift the momentum in their favor majority of the game. Remember, we’re without Burch and we lost Holden for spitting a CB in the first half. We would have won by more than a touchdown if it wasn’t for those. They should thank the refs instead of, But they still blamed them. So hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Honestly, as a Duck fan I’m not sure I can say that Oregon is better than Ohio State. We beat them this time, and it was mind blowing for my friends and I to watch. But man, OSU has NFL players… everywhere.
You aren’t a duck fan then bc if you were you’d see how bad this game was Oregon outplayed Ohio in everyway possible Oregon was fighting the refs themselves and Ohio in this game
I don’t think we lost that game because on QB barely outplayed the other. I think it comes down to 70 penalty yards, a strip from Oregon, and Mr. Ohio was pointing out that Inniss was talking timeout while there was a second left but whatever. It’s a 1 point loss in Eugene we’re both teams could have played better especially OSU. The left point on the bird but we stopped them on those plays minus the FG. Just a good game and someone lost. It wasn’t too deep for me. Just can’t have 70 penalty yards and most of it from our OL in unfortunate times. Will Howard played a game that I don’t think anyone outside of Ohio thought he could play. And I’ll out secondary played well, except that guy that gave DG 179 yards - Burke. I came out thinking we were the better team but just can’t do the things they did…penalties
I think these are all fair points. Just to my eye, every time Oregon needed a play from Dillon Gabriel they got one. And Will Howard let an opportunity slip at the end.
@@Darrentalksball that one play isn’t one him. Someone on the sideline should have been by the official ready to call it, we don’t know if the stadium Clock was the same as the one on TV shown, and he’s the reason we were there. If he gets that TO off and we kick a FG, are we the gonna shame Gabriel and say he didn’t play well enough? There are other places to look at, I can name 10, before Will Howard’s name comes up. But for me, it’s a 1 point loss in Eugene, I’m not getting bent out of shape or really upset at all.
Fortunately for Ohio State, Oregon was missing their best pass rusher. Also, happy birthday -- that no-review on the clear interception was a nice gift.

Ohio state didn’t play flat. They just got out played.
Facts, ohio was firing on all cylinders and we out played them

Duck fan here. OSU is a fricken awesome team.

Ohio stae fans aren't mentioning the gift the refs gave them when Oregon picked it off
Man if they wldve have oregon that. Game probably wldve turnt out even better in oregon favor.. how obvious was the pick..
It’s so hilarious, some of their fans think they got robbed by the refs 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

We hoped to high heavens that by leaving the PAC 12 we were leaving our terrible officiating. Oops!!

The game has a different outcome if the refs knew what a INT look like. We easily get momentum with great field position

Oregon respects all their opponents unlike buckeye fans who look down on every team
Did you see what we did to Ohio state WTF GONE BEAT US???? WE WALKING INTO THE B1G CHAMPIONSHIP UNDEFEATED STAMP IT💛💚🦆

Most of those penalties were thanks to how loud it was OSU got rattled.
