Had a gorgeous black lab once, Bocephus. He Hated Water …….go figure. That was one crazy dog. Then we had a golden retriever,Samson. LOVED WATER, he thought he was a fish. 🐠. .
Must love dogs! We had a Chesapeake Bay retriever that would make running jumps into our swimming pool and swim around, chasing the pool cleaner that had a long plastic tail sweep. I think he thought it was a snake. It was hard to keep him out of the water. I enjoyed watching your dog loving life. Thanks!

Lovely! I had a lab mix dog, I got her when she was 6 weeks old. I was still living at home & my folks had a miniature dachshund. We had a swimming pool, which the doxie was NOT a fan of & she "raised" my dog & told herhthat the pool was a BAD PLACE. Well when Jensen was about a year or so old, and was a major ball player, I started to throw the ball into the pool. First she would lay down at the edge & whine & paw at the water, trying to get the ball to come to her. Then I got into the shallow end & taught her about the steps to get in & out of the pool. Finally she got all 4 feet in, then discovered swimming & she fell in love with the pool! LOL One night, not long after that, we went out to dinner, & when we got home, Jensen was all wet! She taught herself to throw the ball into the pool so she had an excuse to go after it. Somewhere in my photo archives (on film no less) is a photo I took of her diving in, legs stretched out for & aft, completely air born. She would have loved your lake!

We had a springer who adored the river …. he would take a running jump and kersplooosh! Then get out and go do it again. 😆🐶

Hi the water is about 12 foot deep on average but one part is about 18 foot deep
