ZERO chance Cody loses. This is a live show on mainstream TV. This will be a “Hey everybody, here’s who we are” event. Heels gonna heel. Faces gonna face. This is going to lead into Netflix. You will get some big moment, but this is WWE’s chance to show a TON of first timers who all these characters are. They aren’t making crazy mix-ups here. They’re telling you who they are. Bookmark it.
I think randy gets involved in trying to help Cody, Cody wins and Cody gets mad at randy for helping and randy turns heel, RKO Cody, randy turns heel and there you have it, a triple threat at the rumble that leads to Cody and randy at mania. For some strange reason i can see Owen’s and Cena at mania….for some strange reason
I'm sorry, but this is a terrible Saturday Night's Main Event. Cody vs Owens? Gunther vs Balor? These matches aren't special. What made SNME special in the 80s was the fact that we very rarely saw two WWE Superstars in the ring together on TV. Our TV shows were Superstars destroying wimps (And the guys who were wimps back then are guys like Owens, Cody, DIY... Guys HHH & HBK are calling stars today). One 1980s SNME had Junkyard Dog vs "Adorable" Adrian Adonis. That might not seem like a special match, but it was to us because we never saw two stars fighting. Now you see it every week on TV. It's not special. They brought SNME back in the 2000s, and the guys back then were a hell of a lot more entertaining than the guys they have today, and it still didn't work because, again, we saw big matches every week on RAW and Smackdown. This SNME should be loaded with spectacle. Give us Omos. Give us something that will attract the mainstream audience, because the mainstream audience isn't interested in good "wrestling" matches. I'm sure wrestling fans will turn out to watch this, but the SNME's of old drew in the mainstream audience. Back then, people were wowed by the characters. Not today.
I can see KO winning. Randy involved somehow that leads to Cody/Randy at WM. We also have to remember Cena returning at the rumble. Cena and KO have history already. Cena/KO at WM for the championship. Gives two big matches. Leaves Roman with his own match against Rock or Jacob Fatu or Punk. That's 3 big matches.
my own personal theory: randy helps cody retain the championship at SNME, leading to a triple threat match at RR between cody, randy, & kevin. randy pins kevin to win the championship at the RR.
Kevin Owens had a bad leg going into their title match a few months ago and now Cody is the one with the bad leg. very interesting and I think I'm convinced that Owens is winning saturday
I agree with the sentiment that something big needs to happen at SME but I dont think Cody drops the title. What if the major talking point coming out of SME is the long awaited Cody Rhodes heel turn... That would definitely be a spanner in the works.
if we assume The Rock wont be wrestling at Wrestlemania then what will the mainevent with Cody be? Cody & Orton? You have to assume Roman Reigns will be getting his shot at the title again but they arent going to do Cody v Roman again… So its either a triple threat Cody v Roman v Punk Or The mainevent will be Punk v Roman and thats why KO could win the title off Cody to he a transitional champ for Roman to get the belt and for Punk to ask for his favour
Sorry Kevin shouldn't be winning the title right now cause that would make everyone on the main roster who is holding the belt a heel other then the women tag titles but we will find out if Bianca did it or not but we sadly don't need the belts to be held by all heels not great tv if that happened
I am sick of these long title reigns. Look at how many wrestlers never held the world title because the big star of the time had to hold the title forever. It's time for Cody to drop the title and not to Roman. KO deserves a run with the title.
Gunther will lose his title before Cody loses his. HHH is not bringing back the winged eagle belt for this “one night” for Cody to lose. One of two things happen once Cody wins 1. The Rock comes out at the end does the 1 2 3 throat slash 2. Randy Orton comes out to congratulate Cody then hits him with an RKO then holds up the winged eagle belt
Yes, but to the right person and the right story. He is the face of the company, and the only storyline or feud big enough to have him lose is against Randy.
@MuMasoo But that wouldn't make sense for Randy to turn on Cody since whenever Randy comes back he's going to beef with KO. If KO is champion that could set up KO vs. Randy for the title or KO could go after Roman since he still has beef with the bloodline and Roman could get the title back from KO then here comes CM Punk with that favor setting up Roman vs. Punk for the Title with Heyman turning on Roman for Punk
@KaynEzgamez They will likely continue the Randy heel turn teases when he comes back to go after KO. My guess is this will trigger Randy to get that killer instinct back. There is also the fact they are waiting on Rock for WM41.
@MuMasoo Randy Heel turn would be the only reason they should keep Cody the champ to set up their fued but I read reports that the Rock might not be available for WrestleMania next year
They ain't going have anything to talk about afterwards.....ko convo with Cole would mean nothing and the story would be over.......if ko wins this would be a repeat of survivor series 1996 when sid beat hbk.....that still a shock
@@eddiecampbell9663 not only story line wise does it makes sense for KO to win because of Roman Reigns but also Randy Orton! When Randy returns the 2 things he's gonna want and that's get his revenge on Kevin Owens and the WWE title! And for Kevin Owens hatred for Roman Reigns what better for him to have what Roman Reigns lost! Plus with Cody's leg being injured again when they had their first match KO lost because he didn't want to beat Cody unclean which costed him the match and they were still friends at the time however this time Kevin hates Cody for betraying him and he's gonna use his injury to his advantage!😱
Look the main event from NBC back in 88 with Hogan VS Andre and Dibiase "buying" the title and the Hebner ref scandal which led to WM4. They need something like that to draw in and engage people to watch what is next....
Quite frankly, I think this is Kevin's real last chance with fans to take him seriously as a credible threat. If he loses, that's pretty much it. He's lost every championship match he's gotten since he lost the universal title. The people are already wearing thin on treating him like a main eventer regardless of his push. This is make or break for KO My two cents - make KO Nick Aldis' "guy". Have Nick screw Cody. Then down the line, reveal HHH made Aldis do it because he despises Cody for the shots he took during his time in AEW. KO becomes Hunter's enforcer, like Rollins used to be. Aldis turns babyface by defying HHH and that sets up some matches for him.
I would like to suggest that this also makes even more sense if Punk wins the Rumble. Two heel champions for him to choose from, and an Owens angle could easily eclipse the MJF stuff in terms of quality. Not to mention it’d be a fucking killer closer for a WrestleMania.
I actually wouldn’t mind KO winning the belt

I hope Cody drops the belt to Owens, just to add that unpredictability aspect to his reign but of course he will win it back in time to main event WM
my own personal theory: randy helps cody retain the championship at SNME, leading to a triple threat match at RR between cody, randy, & kevin. randy pins kevin to win the championship at the RR.
Austin & the NWO changed the heel ,baby face dynamic
Kevin Owens had a bad leg going into their title match a few months ago and now Cody is the one with the bad leg. very interesting and I think I'm convinced that Owens is winning saturday
Remember Rock told Cody last time they talked he was coming for him whether he has the title or not
BULLY RAY x MARK came to NEW ORLEANS on Sat 12/7 🔥 I was in the building.. MARK was dressed as SANTA CLAUS 🔥😂🔥
You have to assume Roman Reigns will be getting his shot at the title again but they arent going to do Cody v Roman again… So its either a triple threat Cody v Roman v Punk
Or The mainevent will be Punk v Roman and thats why KO could win the title off Cody to he a transitional champ for Roman to get the belt and for Punk to ask for his favour
If KO loses his contract is up and will face Sami Zane then leave
Kevin would be a fine transitional chanpion until the Rumble. But i dont think Cody is dropping it. Theyre gonna build it for Orton to beat Cody.
Sorry Kevin shouldn't be winning the title right now cause that would make everyone on the main roster who is holding the belt a heel other then the women tag titles but we will find out if Bianca did it or not but we sadly don't need the belts to be held by all heels not great tv if that happened
Storyline goals:
Cody vs Rock
KO vs OTC/Orton
If Randy comes back and helps ko win that will be memorable
I am sick of these long title reigns. Look at how many wrestlers never held the world title because the big star of the time had to hold the title forever. It's time for Cody to drop the title and not to Roman. KO deserves a run with the title.
Gunther will lose his title before Cody loses his. HHH is not bringing back the winged eagle belt for this “one night” for Cody to lose.
One of two things happen once Cody wins
1. The Rock comes out at the end does the 1 2 3 throat slash
2. Randy Orton comes out to congratulate Cody then hits him with an RKO then holds up the winged eagle belt
Cody's the only one who hasn't lost his Title since WrestleMania so he's due for a lost
@MuMasoo Randy Heel turn would be the only reason they should keep Cody the champ to set up their fued but I read reports that the Rock might not be available for WrestleMania next year
@KaynEzgamez Roman kept that belt for over 3 years
What if the rock comes back interfering only to help Cody win only to set up Rock vs. Cody for the title and then Randy comes out to Rko owens
U can't be serious Wwe wouldn't Dream have Cody lost at Saturday night main event lol
They ain't going have anything to talk about afterwards.....ko convo with Cole would mean nothing and the story would be over.......if ko wins this would be a repeat of survivor series 1996 when sid beat hbk.....that still a shock
@@eddiecampbell9663 who is HBK!
@@tyreseforren6721 shawn michaels THE HEARTBREAK KID lol
Randy Orton will be the big factor. The big plot twist would be Orton actually turning heel and helping KO win. Then they have Cody vs Randy set.
Dave is right, I.e remember Day 1 what happened Brock shock the world by capturing the wwe title and it was the first Day 1 ppv
Cody turn heel that could happen
Dave, they are NOT going into the Netflix premiere having Cody drop the title less than a month beforehand
Cody is the new golden boy.
I will be SHOCKED if he loses to KO. Especially on the 1st network TV special in years.
This is make or break for KO
My two cents - make KO Nick Aldis' "guy".
Wasn't expecting the 14:27 out of character. However lmao. Dont let them in on in Dave!
Orton turns on Cody(or attacks Kevin viciously) , no title drop... Would get everyone talking
Baby face world champs are extremely difficult to book a great story. The Babyface chasing the championship is where it's at.
Cody can still keep the belt if he wins in a controversial way. Keeps the story and creates more.
I would like to suggest that this also makes even more sense if Punk wins the Rumble. Two heel champions for him to choose from, and an Owens angle could easily eclipse the MJF stuff in terms of quality.
Not to mention it’d be a fucking killer closer for a WrestleMania.
MJF’s gimmick got stale
@ I stopped watching after the Punk stuff.
